      Vodafone network, not nice

      • Ive had many bad reception experiences with Vodafone/Kogan.
I moved to amaysim/Optus and never looked back.
If you plan to travel outside metro areas and rely on having mobile reception Voda is NOT the way to go.

besides one must focus on the ongoing price. Not the (once off) special price. As cheap 365 day plans are being quickly removed from the marketplace.

Take your preferred long term position and stay put!
You dont want to be trapped in a mobile plan you are not happy with.

The questions that must be answered are:
        1. Is Vodafone network satisfactory for your requirements (ie 99% metro use) ?
        2. Are you prepared to pay $175pa ongoing for this plan?

        • +7

Surely there is no "ongoing" commitment? At the end of 12 months, port to the best deal at that time.

          • +2

@jrvb42: You either sign up for life or you lose your number. No porting out allowed.

            /s

          • +1

@jrvb42: Exactly, it's a one off fee, move to whatever provider you like after that. Simples. They don't sound like a wise OzBargainer.

Bought the eSim from the last time it was posted and so far im very happy.
    * Based in Adelaide South.

    Thanks OP.

      Esim posted ?

      • Sorry, meant last time this deal was posted.
ESim is activated via an email that Ezysim sends. I had no issues whatsoever.

Any good deal on the 5G network?

  • when will it deal expire?

    • Messaged them and the response: The offer for our Ultimate 12 plan will be ending up within this week. May it'll get extended but not sure.

  • +9

Kogan is 500gb a year for $150 at the moment which is also on the Vodaphone network, good if you don't need international calls

  • Good deal !

    Any Boost deals?

  • Anyone know of a good data only aussie sim? Need one for my tablet for location tracking + occasional video use?

  • Ezysim staff was very nice in dealing with my issues during activation.

Want a cheap sim for a spare phone for the kids to use if they are going for a bikeride or something - assume this is as cheap as it gets for a 12 month expiry that has a little bit of call and sms credit?

    • +1

Yes, I found this to be the cheapest available currently for a 12-month expiry, generous data, and unlimited call and sms.

  • Does this include any international SMS/calls or should i stay with coles mobile?

    • +2

The Ultimate 12 plan ($87.50) has no International inclusions.
The Beauty 360 plan ($240) gives you 250 minutes International Calls, every 30 days. I'd reckon your Coles plan would have Unlimited International Talk.

  • +3

    Expiry dates?

  • What is the cheapest 5G plan available?

  • +2

Long-term plans: Sim must be activated within 60 days of purchase.

    • Cant find this anywhere, purhased anyway.

  • Does anyone know, when the plan has to be activated by?

  • when is this offer ending?

    • Messaged them and the response: The offer for our Ultimate 12 plan will be ending up within this week. May it'll get extended but not sure.

  • If you buy the Ultimate 12 and run out of data before the 12 months can you top up the data? Or do you just port elsewhere?

  • I have had some bad experiences with other lesser known providers but ezysim gave no problems at all. Dont need a long expiry right now but I can recommend the company. Had no issues with activation & their online portal is fine.

  • Does anyone know if I can port my number over? Also interested to know when the esim needs to be activated by. My prepaid SIM expires in Sept so hoping to activate my new service in Sept and port my number over.

IMO amaysim via ShopBack is a steal and much better! 200gb for $104 (after cashback). That is much better as amaysim have outstanding for customer support.

    • Do you know if Amaysim's wifi calling works overseas, and we can call Australian number and receive calls, like Boost? Also in the case of the 240gb plan with international calls, does it also work calling international numbers on those 28 countries?

      • I’m not not about wifi calling as I always use Apple FaceTime or WhatsApp. When I went over to Italy and Bali I just continued using those apps. So no idea.

        • Yeah but it's particularly useful for receiving calls, and for calling landlines if required.

      • +1

No they wont. Only Telstra and their mvnos (belong, boost, mates etc) does this

    • Fine print says "New customers & new signups"

  • Does anyone know if we go with this Ultimate12 for $87.50, when its time to recharge do we have to pay $175?

    • Probably goes up. The only company that usually allows to recharge with a new offer is Kogan as far as I know (you would still need to wait for the offer to come up and purchase it of course)

  • Can I use this esim for apple watch?

  • Perfect if you have a 2 Phone Nelson

  • Can I use my existing number if I buy one?

  • Question for the hive, can I port a number in an e-sim. I'm overseas at the moment and wanted to buy an esim and port an australian number to it, as I cannot be there to receive the physical sim for a little while

    • yes you can as long as you can receive and send a confimation SMS (on that phone number itself) for the transfer of that australian number you wish to keep.

  • Has Optus started sharing their network/towers with Vodaphone yet?

    • Google says Subject to relevant regulatory approvals, the MOCN is expected to be available to TPG and Optus customers in early 2025.

Just bought the Ultimate 12 Plan for $78.75 using the promo code “Vannihope” for an extra 10% off. Great price!

  • Anyone is with Ezysim atm , pls feel free to share a referral code, I am about to sign up now

    • Hey there, I'll message you and provide it to you.

      • Edit: Looks like they have updated the Website UI/Software for MyAccount and I can no longer sign-in to view my Rewards. If anyone else is able to, please do let me know :-) Thanks.

  • hows Ezysim? any hidden fees or crap like issue porting out?

    • From memory you need to reply to a text to initiate porting so best to do it on the last day while you still have credit. There is a number to call but if you have no credit, well..

      • -1

thats normal procedures..but other hidden stuff like fees or they make issue for you to port out.

  • Any referral codes pls

    • How does the referral code work to get the extra 10% off?

  • Need a referral code, thx

    • Did anyone dm you one? Just wondering if I should wait

      • Yes, but it seems no further discount. I asked customer service, but they didn't fix it. I signed up with one's referral link.

I can dm you mine, if you like.

        • DM me referral code for Ezysim. supposed to be 10% discount , no ?

  • Can anyone dm me a referral code? thanks.

  • Looks expired.

  • Never been on an esim before. When I leave, is it the same process to pretty from e-sim to physical? Will the service automatically close once the port goes through?
