Was looking for a new glass kettle as our last died today and did a bit of research and came across this one Russell Hobbs Brooklyn Glass Kettle Copper 1.7 L combined with this offer
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849487

The amount worked out to be $66 plus delivery but I choose up to do free (C&C) that gave me another $5 off making it for $61 final price for me, also did an online comparison via Google and this one works out to be the cheapest amongst all the retailers
Reviews seems to be okay.
Happy ozbargaining

The last we bought was from spotlight and was also a glass one for $39(pursonic)lasted for about 3 years had no issues and was constantly used it everyday for 3 years I guess Russell Hobbs is a far better brand
I like the Kogan tea kettle. Been using for a few years and still love it https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-17l-double-wall-smart-ket…
Thanks, got one. Came in at $66 total but looks like they give out a $5 voucher for click and collect to be used for a future purchase.
There's also a Russel Hobbs Brita 1.7l glass kettle from Amazon for $55 ~ $59 if you are also after one that can filter water. Price matching Big W.

I really wonder about the usefulness of having the filter inside the kettle. Would be interesting to see if there is any data on how much of the adsorbed impurities just get stripped from the activated carbon and ion exchange resin by the boiling water and end up back in the water you drink.
The the whole brita filter assembly is removable. I never use it with the filter inside and the holder is all plastic.
I had this for a few months and it worked fine. Recently replaced it with https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-15l-double-walled-kettle/ to avoid the plastic lid and lip and it also works fine.
It's a shame they made the spout plastic :/
I got this one last year. Works but much slower than my previous two cheapo kettles. The kogan one was faster than this.
Seems to boil bloody quick, impressive.
I'm just a little wary of glass kettles, but i'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
