@pizzaguy: Happy to be corrected as well:

I thought the same as well - until its courses started showing up on MK 8 Deluxe….I guess only way to find out is a matter of time.

For this price just get the Quest 3, Sony looks like it's abandoning ship for the PS5 title releases, we're not sure how it's PC VR adapter release will be, and you're not getting the main benefits of HDR etc that the main headset has…

Quest 3 wireless freedom with PCVR and standalone over this all day.

    • Quite a bit of FUD. No confirmation of abandoning PS5 titles and the HDR / other PS5 features may well be added in for PC titles.

I don't honestly know why anyone would consider this if they were using it for PC use. It's already missing a number of big features, and you just know that Sony only created the PC adapter in hoping to dump their inventory on unsuspecting PC gamers. It'll be completely forgotten about in the next few months with nary an update for PC.. or even the device itself.. Maybe I could have been a bit more sympathetic but missing a number of big features, it's already DOA..

I’d be surprised if they don’t get some of the software features working soon after release

Even without the features it’s still probably the best PCVR headset for the money at the moment

As someone who is very pro PSVR2 I would definitely recommend this if you already have a PS5 and want to get into VR.

But I'll be perfectly honest and say that if you don't already have a PS5 then it is a tough sell over the Quest 3.

I've had the Quest 3 for about a month now and the PSVR2 since launch. The Q3 is a better overall all round headset. The mixed reality aspect is very user friendly especially for those new to VR. It will help you get used to a VR environment. Also meta seem to be supporting it well with the store etc. Pancake lenses are nice and so is the cord free aspect. You will though need to buy a new head strap as the default one is awful and most likely get a head strap with a battery as the battery life isn't amazing.

But considering this the best VR games I have played have been on the PSVR2. Nothing on the quest imo compares to GT7, RE4, RE8 and Synapse. The PSVR2 is purely for VR gaming and it's better at the Q3 in that department. I would completely ignore those people that say there are no games on this thing. There are a bucket load of great games, you just need to try them out. Even the multi platform games that are on the Quest for the most part perform better on the PSVR2.

Haven't tried Synth Riders yet - but can download it as it's now part of the PS Deluxe tier.
