Temu: Upsized 50% Cashback for New & Existing Customers (Uncapped) @ TopCashback AU

This deal is back again with 50% cashback uncapped for both new and existing customers. Good for anyone who missed out last time or ready for another round of cheap bargains. The increase will be active for the duration of Tuesday.

It's worth noting that the final cashback figure will exclude GST (10%) and the USD to AUD currency conversion on Temu's end (3% for me last time) - TCB have no control of this. Regardless it's still an impressive amount of cashback considering it's uncapped cashback with no limit on orders. My ~$600 worth of orders last time have successfully tracked without issue.

      • Might not be related then. I was thinking opendns could be blocking one of the tracking sites though. Did have a similar problem with cashrewards and generally have no tracking issues with any other sites so might be a temu thing.

          Just to add to the fun I had both my Shopback Temu order not track last week via Shopbacks website/brand new Temu account via PC, then with the same Temu account following the above steps with TopCashBack not track on a completely fresh PC/different network. Seems like there's some Temu issues more than cashback side of things. Hopefully both cashback platforms will be able to fix it up

    It may be totally on Temu's end, but I can see why people are not trusting Topcashback as they are new. I had 4 transactions declined, total of $140 which I brushed off in the last deal because it was still a good deal, but there was an explanation with the boost fiasco. I hope there will be an explanation this time. Really want to just send the order back when it arrives, but I need 1 or 2 items in it. Will be furious if cashback is not eventually given and not some explanation. Companies seem to be really trying everything to get out of paying cashbacks at the moment.

      In this case Temu themselves are having issues tracking for all affiliates (Shopback, Cashrewards and myself included). They haven't elaborated yet on what exactly invalidates the affiliate income. I.e. using coupons that auto apply, applying price adjustment, using the desktop site versus mobile site. Or something as simple as their method of tracking (i.e. cookies) not working properly.

      TCB and others are definitely pushing hard on the affiliate team for answers. I'm inclined to say what Temu are using to do the tracking is stuffed considering the number of people having tracking issues, as opposed to declined cashback.

        Thanks, yes I agree I did have problems with the increased cashback with cashrewards too but then when I made a smaller order it worked perfectly. Followed all the rules so I guess I will just hope it will be rectified and wait. No coupons on My end. I had problems disputing the cashback with cashrewards with temu because temu inflates the prices to make it seem like a crazy discount was obtained, and the rep who contacted me thought this meant I added a discount coupon, but thats just how temu markets its prices.

  • What are the chances of receving cashback if it didnt track? Is it worth waiting and hoping? The annoying part is many of the items were a little higher than usual but with the 50% off it didnt matter. Package arrived and not sure whether I should try and return it and just make a new order.

    • Log a claim and @tightarse will have it solved.

      • I did, it says it has been unfrozen, and now tracking and waiting for investigation or something.

          Hey guys, and thank you. As I commented here, we're already in talks with both TEMU and their affiliate partner network to get this resolved. As they are based in China, the responses have been slow but we are making progress. We know there's an issue, and it's just a matter of them finding the root cause & fix. For now, please lodge a claim if your order failed to track. You won't hear back until we've sorted this out. Note also we've taken the precautionary step of pausing TEMU on TCB for now.                     • @armageddeus: Also one of the things temu does is claim you can have price adjustment, but its only on the actual listings you bought. There could be countless of the same item much cheaper. Prices fluctuate drastically and if its a big saving the whole listing expires and disappears rendering it inelligible for any price refund. Just while waiting for this answer (Because it likely will be a convenient excuse to not receive cashback) The listings are already gone so missed out on $5 or so in refunds.

          Hi. I’m honestly not sure. Personally wouldn’t risk it if you have a large cashback owing, but your call as it will obviously affect your order. Sorry I can’t offer more than this.

    • Malwarebytes are going to the shitter. First it's spamming popups on their free version and now click bait articles. Temu app permissions can be denied at first installation or anytime. Prompting to set permissions isn't malware - it's standard OS operation.

        Sounds like the concern is more than Android permissions.

        Further, the lawsuit alleges that Temu is capable of recompiling itself, changing properties, and overriding the data privacy settings set by the user. If true, this would make it almost impossible to detect, even by “sophisticated” users, the lawsuit said.

    Hi everyone and thank you for your patience. Here's an update as promised re untracked TEMU claims.

    Please note that after numerous emails backwards and forwards, all TEMU claims have now been submitted to the merchant. Provided they meet terms of the promo/s (code use, empty cart, gift cards etc), they will be moved into your accounts and approved in the next 8-10 weeks, just like they would have been had they tracked.

      8-10 more weeks means it’s going to definitely go over their return window. If the claim isn’t approved…Personally i don’t think it’s worth the risk. TCB have definitely let its customers down… not a reflection on you TA. But that’s how i feel…

        Absolutely no reason why it would be declined as I've stated (unless you blatantly broke the terms). And trust me, TCB has not let you down. To the contrary, if you knew the amount of work that's gone on behind the scenes to sort this out, you'd think differently.

        What I neglected to mention is that results show around 20% of all TEMU orders from the two promos failed to track, so the positive aspect is that 80% were successful. It’s not as if there was no tracking at all, so could have been a lot worse.

        Please have some faith. I'm extremely confident you'll be very happy with the end result so relax and please don’t worry. Thank you.

        • Thanks for the response, I know there wasn't "no tracking at all" as I mentioned earlier that my first order tracked as it was a low value one, but the 2 others didn't. So there was obviously no blatant breaking of the terms (in fact the first order used up some credit i had and that's the reason i made a smaller first order - but it did track!)

I've had one of my items which I bought 2 of, which was about 30% of the order price, break, really extremely low quality because its not the type of item to break, and now I don't know whether to try and return all the items and rebuy to not be out of pocket or just cut a loss, and say well atleast (Hopefully will) receive 50% cashback.

    My cashback tracked correctly but tracking is still Pending status and not Confirmed/Payable…
    I'm guessing the people whose cashbacks are Payable are those who had to submit a missing cashback claim/contacted TA?
