Temu: Upsized 50% Cashback for New & Existing Customers (Uncapped) @ TopCashback AU

1223

This deal is back again with 50% cashback uncapped for both new and existing customers. Good for anyone who missed out last time or ready for another round of cheap bargains. The increase will be active for the duration of Tuesday.

Purchases made via the TEMU app are ineligible. Please use the desktop or mobile site instead. If you've had tracking issues please see the response from TA here

It's worth noting that the final cashback figure will exclude GST (10%) and the USD to AUD currency conversion on Temu's end (3% for me last time) - TCB have no control of this. Regardless it's still an impressive amount of cashback considering it's uncapped cashback with no limit on orders. My ~$600 worth of orders last time have successfully tracked without issue.

Important Information:

For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost. TopCashbackAU must be your last click . Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

    • I have lodged missing cashback claim, but wait is very long to know the outcome

      "Once you’ve lodged a claim
our investigations take on average 1 - 3 months from the date the claim is submitted"

    • +1

Have you heard back from Temu @tightarse about the selective tracking? First one tracked others didn’t?

  • +2

Another possible issue is from add-ons in browsers. Not only common adblocker add-ons that people need to be aware of, but also other add-ons maybe like ClearURLs, Privacy Possum, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes, etc.

Better use Chrome mobile browser (no add-ons) in your phone, based on my personal experiences with these cashback companies.

For shopping with cashback, avoid Chrome desktop browser, Brave browser, Firefox, Kiwi browser, etc … They have add-ons.

    • +1

Basically any kind of privacy plugin that blocks cookies, ads, tracking or anything like Honey that gives you coupons (through their own affiliate links) will cause you trouble. Even an antivirus with tracking/cookies blocked will cause issues.

    • Thats commonsense, I dont use anything like that and still didnt track. Have them all disabled for cashback sites.Could just be an issue with temu as theres been issues with other cashbacks.

      • maybe use mobile with wifi off and don't use any apps?

  • I'm having a hard time getting the Temu website to load.

  • How long does tracking usually take with Temu? My experience to date with TopCashback has been excellent with most items tracked within 1hr. Purchased over 2 hrs ago and nothing yet, hopefully Temu just takes longer than usual..

    • +1

      Usually 24 hours.

    • +1

Update: Both my purchases tracked. Used the TCB app on IOS and paid with Apple Pay for first order (purchased @11am and tracked @ 11pm) and PayPal for second order (purchased @ 12noon and tracked @11:30pm).

  • so best to use mobile TCB app and mobile browser

    • Said the app was not elligible for this deal.

  • +2

Mine wasn't tracked and no customer service attending my query. I would avoid this dodgy cashback company to save time and effort..

    • +4

Hi. As I stated here, once you submit the claim and receive the initial response, there's nothing further to do but wait on the merchant to respond. Not sure how much simpler it needs to be than that. And why dodgy? TCB is one of the biggest cashback companies in the world for a reason, and with your help, will be just as big in Australia. Criticism is one thing, but please substantiate it with constructive feedback so it can help us improve. Many thanks.

      • +1

I had done this a few times, even though, it’s a pain to raise claim manually, and also, the updates are very rare or it sounds standard like - this has been raised with the merchant, etc,. so, it kinda sounds like it’s a standard response, I did feel like no point in spending effort, however, I did get my claim approved at the end.
I had raised claims with Shopback and Cashrewards too, the difference I see is - both these send emails and conversations get a response and it makes you feel someone is looking into it. With TCB it wasn’t clear.

      • +2

I can't understand how they can track the first transaction, but the subsequent transactions even when clicked through the website fail to track.
The clicks show up when i go to submit a claim - so they know it was clicked through their nertwork

    • I think I’ve had one purchase not track at TCB, and it was fixed pronto through their support.

Dodgy? I don’t think so. Some times people just have to admit user error.

  • +2

    Wish 2.0

  • anyone had their claim approved?

    • Nope, still not showing from the 27th May purchase.

      • +2

Hi. As stated previously, once you lodge a claim, the transaction will not show in your account until such time we hear back from the merchant, and there is nothing further for you to do. Hope this helps.

        • Hey @tightarse, just wondering what the chances of Temu honouring the last deal if it didn't track? Cheers.

  • How is such a large discount on low-cost products even possible? What is the catch?

    • +2

Temu are employing the "loss leading strategy" of doing business. Look at how much attention it's given them. Even ACA are doing stories about it.

      • Loss leading I am familiar with. How deep does it go? This seems like a step beyond their regular strategy of loss-leading products on the front page.

        • Loss-leading is part of it. They get you hooked with specials and you need to spend $x to get coupons, $40 min in your shopping cart… there's games which I don't recommend that get you in the habit of logging in daily.
Another reason is most of the stuff is junk and costs pennies to make.
Watch a few shorts of this guy to get a feel of how cheap they can manufacture goods and the insane markup we're paying. eg $800 Dior shirts made for $20. Unfortunately you won't find quality clothing on Temu, but it gives an impression of manufacturing costs and how they're able to churn out so much so fast. https://youtube.com/shorts/g4pKo7mDP7w

          • +1

@BoltThrower: Yeah it's only worth joining temu for something of decent value with the first purchase and first cashback deal (30% and 50% usually). I haven't bought anything else since (min. $50 for free shipping). Then signed up again but using a different cashback promo. Not worth it for small junk you can get from AliX ($15 choice free shipping).

I also don't trust Temu, especially the app - google it!

  • Haven't touched Temu for awhile….any genuine deals currently?

  • +1

Lets hope it will work this time unlike last offer lol

    • +1

      It’s a gamble with TCB

  • Hi @tightarse,

I did two transactions, will they both be counted?
Went back and via TCB between transactions.

    • +1

      Yes

      • Cheers, Great!

  • Hope it works

  • if transaction is put through after 12am (but the TCB Temu link was clicked at 11.30pm), does the 50% still register, or immediate drops to 5% (current) rate ? Thanks!

    • Cashback is tracked according to the actual transaction time. So if the transaction time was after when the increased cashback has ended, it would track at the current rate.

  • Cashback which fails to track so you can buy manufactured garbage on temu. Double gross

    • You have to be smart to select items to buy with great reviews and possibility to return if garbage. If you play it well, it's not all bad. I did $500 worth of shopping in last 50% off and mostly it was good.

  • So far 6 tracked out of 11 transactions. Sigh..
My gut feeling is whatever tracked in first few hours of making transaction is all that gets tracked. I don't expect any more tracking to pop up in next 24-72 hrs.

Then long battle to raise claim and wait wait for 2-3 months.

    • Update: All 11 transactions tracked. Happy days. Bring on this deal again @tightarse

      • 11 accounts? Or could you use this deal multiple times?

        • You could do multiple transactions. 1 account only.

          • @amsaini15: Sounds ok for this promo.
I used two different cashback apps recently to get the first purchase discounts for Temu.

  • My purchase from yesterday has tracked, yet my same temu purchase with topcashback from two weeks ago did not track.

    Must be random.

  • All four of my separate transactions tracked within 10 hours~.

I used mobile chrome in incognito mode, and closed it after every transaction (logging back in each time).

  • How long is this promo running?

  • Purchased last night, fingers crossed I get a notification that it has tracked shortly

  • +1

Yet to be tracked and it's been nearly 24 hours

  • This time only one out of two purchases tracked & confirmed cashback lol

    • +1

Did either have any coupons auto apply from Temu at checkout?

      • +1

Nah, I manually un-ticked and removed coupons.
Only thing that can not be removed is Temu store credit :)

Might just be delayed for some reason…
Guess I'll wait and see lol

Edit: Wish TopCashback would list all clicks to merchants instead of them just listing the most recent clicks

        • +2

you can see all your clicks when you "Start a Claim"

        • +2

Agree with @amsaini15 100%. TCB needs a page like Cashreward's Click History.
They also need to clearly state on each merchant's page how long the tracking will take to update from 'Pending' to 'Payable' status. At the moment, we can only to find out how long it is after purchasing…

          • +1

@Alinnia: Hopefully @TA can use his experience at CR to guide them. Having a top notch website should be a basic starting point to be successful in a business especially when your competitors have it.

        • Enough waiting LoL
time to lodge another missing cashback..

  • +4

Put through five separate transactions throughout yesterday and over the evening and into this morning each have appeared as tracked. True to the commentary of excl. GST and roughly 3% conversion loss it works out to be an average of 43% discount. Thank you @Clear for the deal!

My only question is if you utilise Temu's price adjustment feature which basically gives you a credit for the difference where an item has dropped in price since buying - does this impact the cashback? Noting it's a 12wk turn around.

    • +1

Yes I would be interested in knowing that too. Also if you return one item, you forfeit entire cashback for that transaction?

    • @Clear ?

      • Whats up

        • +1

Do you know if putting through a price adjustment in temu will impact the cashback?

          • @anthman: Wouldn't do anything, have to hold your tongue right. Same goes for exchanges returns all of that (imo). Only buy stuff you know you want.

          • @anthman: So one of mine that tracked, had its transaction value in TCB adjusted after the price adjustment in temu

  • Only 1 out of my 3 transactions have tracked so far….

  • Mine tracked. Thanks!
    11 Jun 2024 $35.03 $17.51
I'd have bought more if it tracked within the time limit.
I used Brave, had multiple tabs open and the click-through tab wasn't the same one I checked out with. I did however unselect and reselect within the cart.
"I too, like to live dangerously"
Picked up one of the last 3-mode RGB keyboards in white. Not expecting great quality, but great for the price. Looked like a pricing error because the wired version was 50% more. https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=6010995147…

    • BTW, Brave had the "Brave Shield" (Ad and tracking blocker) disabled.
Didn't request a price adjustment, but cashback dropped. I did have $2 in store credit which was used during the purchase
      $32.52 $16.26

  • +1

Bought at about 4pm yesterday, hasnt tracked yet, will wait another day for TCB to track, has been alright with tracking for me thus far hopefully this one pulls through too

    • +1

still hasnt tracked, Temu requires you to put in a seperate claim PER ITEM, which means I had to put in missing claim per item because i had 7 items. Anyway I managed to click the same timeslot for 5 items but for the 6th one the TIMESLOT/CLICK disappeared, have raised a bug issue with the TCB team. My click to merchant record still indicates that I had a Temu click during the Promo period of June 11 but I cant submit anymore missing cashback claims for that particular click.

@tightarse wondering if you have encountered such a bug report before, I have raised this as a bug/error for support team so hopefully they can fix it

  • Same here. Bought at 2:30pm yesterday, hasn't tracked yet. Will wait until tomorrow morning before I submit missing claim.

  • No tracking from about 11.30 last night. Hope it works. Only ordered because of this deal. I did have a problem with cashrewards and temu though, which was rectified. Does topcashback have a click history?

    • See my earlier comment about starting a claim and you can see if TCB recorded when you clicked the temu link

  • Nothing for me after 24 hours, it's not looking good.

I see a cancel item button on my orders page, is that an option? It's still 'Preparing to ship'.

    • +1

Yeah you can cancel if you don't want to log a claim. Temu seem to be having issues with tracking. TCB will definitely sort it out with them in the end.

      • I went ahead and cancelled, there was nothing in the order that I really needed.

There were a few steps but it was pretty straight forward, and the refund was immediate (though I'll be waiting on PayPal).

      • Did 2 transactions. Both did not track. Sigh.

  • +2

Made two transactions, 4 hours apart.

    First tracked, second has not.

At least it is an improvement on last time, but frustratingly inconsistent.

  • Thanks Clear. 3 transactions made back to back, 3 transactions tracked. Flawless. Have a bit of an issue tho - my bank account is draining ;)

  • +2

Mine still hasn't tracked. Do I lodge a claim now or wait the full 7 days?

    • +1

I'd lodge it now. I'm doing the same.

      • +1

36HR since purchase, I've also put my claim in.

        • Sorry to ask this question as I am getting ready to put the claim. I have purchased 5 items in one transaction. The website is saying that you have to put the claim for each item separately. Is it how it should be done or we can submit one claim for each transaction? I have asked the help center but thought of asking here as well in case I get quick response. Thanks

          • @Ptl007: One claim per order

          • @Ptl007: I did what the website says - one claim per item.

If you have purchased more than one item, Temu requires you to submit a separate claim per item.

If the help center has a different opinion, please let us know because it's a PITA.

            • +1

@penno2: Thank you. i will update here if they advise anything different.

      • Doesn't the website say to wait 7 days even for tracking?

    • Me too :( I used a vanilla freshly installed Chrome browser with no extensions on my desktop.

  • +1

Still not tracked, all extensions were removed and followed the instructions like emptying cart which was annoying. It said not use browsers like brave, and I didnt yet someone above said it tracked with brave. Will cancel the whole order and send back with this as the explanation if it doesnt track.

    • Yes, I used Brave, but disabled the ad-blocker.

  • +1

36 hours for me, not tracked. Started lodging (won't bother with the smaller items).

Your claim has been lodged successfully, we'll now submit it to the retailer. It can take a few months before we hear back from them, but we will be in touch as soon as we have any news.

Could be 'a few months'… Not ideal.

    • Email received this morning stating cashback paid in full! Better late than never, that's for sure. Thanks TCB and TA for the deal and seeing it through.

  • +6

mine as well, not tracked. i have 2 cases now under review and have to wait for months. trust is started to crack. strike 1 2 and 3 will be the final straw.

    • +3

Yup Temu have screwed up big time.

      • +1

Why temu and not topcashback? I have bought from temu multiple times without issues.

        • Temu are having tracking issues with all affiliates including the cashback providers Cashrewards and Shopback. It's widespread.

    • +1

I'm just going to return my order if the CB doesn't come through (as I can't cancel it anymore)

      • Me too, its very annoying.

  • +3

Bought 3 items and none of them tracked, they didn't track the last it was 50% cashback too. Very annoying!

  • Followed all the steps, emptying carts etc. Only thing I can think of that messed anything up is anytime I clicked an item it opened a new tab. (nothing set up to do that on my end.) Then I searched for the item I wanted from the list I had. I also run opendns. Could opendns be blocking some tracking site?

    • I actually did the opposite, i always kept and used the original tab. When a new tab opened, i added to cart, closed the new tab and continued browsing with the original tab. Fyi, wasnt tracked for me either. 3 more days and ill have to file a claim..
