Heads up, don’t buy the Aldi pegs instead of these.

The Aldi one lasted a few months in the summer sun and then started breaking.

    • +7

…buy the Aldi stainless ones that will last decades.

    • +3

the kmart ones break all the same, i've bought 1 pack per year.

    • +6

well these hurt my nipples more then the aldi ones, so its a coin flip.

    • +1

These from Kmart last a little longer, but they also become brittle over time.

    • +2

That's a symptom of all cheap pegs, they are not UV stabilised, always best to buy more expensive pegs once, instead of cheap pegs many times.

Public service announcement: these pegs are terrible. Much prefer the Reva ones from woolworths. They do fade but last for years. I'd rather pay for them than get these junk ones again for free.

    • Disagree; while these pegs are effectively disposable, they work much better than the standard Revas.

      • Work much better… it's a peg, genuinely curious how the reva pegs could not work for you?

        • They don't grip clothes well. The Reva Supersize pegs are fine.

    • Reva was an excellent product years ago. They changed to cheaper plastic and price. :(

  • Thanks mate, ordered 2. Free delivery with OnePass.

  • I can picture it now, walking on broken bits of plastic that have faded, cracked and broken off over the year. I perfer the stainless steel variant, it might cost a couple of bucks but less of a pain

Neg reason: flawed product. Plastic pegs are unsustainable garbage and perish / break far too easily. Stainless steel or gtfo.

    • Agreed. Have pincinox pegs. Then bought then for the whole family. Great gifts for friends.

Pegs for a present, wow really?

        • +2

My thoughts before I read your comment lol. They do look like they would last a lifetime.

Anyway the Kmart deal isn't one due to lack of UV protection, durability issues and environmental impact.

Low price is only one consideration for something to be considered a bargain. I hate contributing to landfill.

    • +3

Agree. No uv stabilisation. Didn't last one summer

      • +2

Now I know what you did last summer, bought cheap pegs.

    • What does gtfo mean?

      • +3

GTFO - get the f**k out

      • +4

It means please go far away.

    • +1

Not back in the day, everything cheap now from China is garbage

Thanks OP! I can finally start pegging

Buy wooden pegs, they last longer and are biodegradable once you're done with them.

    • i have some but the spring keeps slipping, how do i stop this

  • They are good to dry laundered money

    • or even to launder dry money

  • Same at Target

  • These pegs have lasted two years already for me, and they look like they will last a few more years. Having our hanger under shade helps with its longevity.

  • +3

Please don't buy cheap pegs people. I'm never making that mistake again. Everybody loses. It's more expensive for you in the long run. It's bad for the environment. And Kmart surely isn't making much money from it.

    Hegs Pegs ftw.

  • 24 nights of fun!! thank you.

  • Shows not available online

  • Bought these a year ago and they're already breaking apart.

  • +3

    NEVER EVER buy this rubbish.
Spend a bit extra and get 316 stainless steel pegs that don't rust

You can also get 304 stainless steel which is a bit cheaper but not recommended if you live near water

OPs deal might be good if you want them for arts and crafts

These have lasted me for at least 4 years if I can recall. We take the pegs inside when not in use.

    • +4

Yep me too. Who leaves pegs on the line all the time? No wonder people are having problems with UV damage

    • I posted this because I've had the same set of Kmart pegs since 2018. I take them inside after like you too.

      • Yeah negs for this post is unfair

        it’s $1

Not much effort taking them inside and they will last.

  • ikea ones are my fav

  • +2

These are garbage. One dropped dropped from the clothes line today and snapped in half. The plastic is thin and cheap and does not last in the sun.

  • +3

    These should be illegal

    • Where are all you neggers when Reps post overpriced plastic junk on here?
