Citibank Gold Card Reward Redemption: Nokia N82 for 12,800 reward points!

342

Redeem a Nokia N82 with 12,800 Citibank Gold Card reward points.
For a $500 phone, I say it's quite a bargain!

Normally with the same amount of points, you can only redeem a one-year subscription for a magazine!

UPDATED 10/12/2008

The new Reward Points needed is 130,900.

    • Hey,

I can PM you the code, but your settings arent allowing it at the moment! =P

  • Got mine on Friday 19th Dec. Delivered by Australia Post Registered Post.

I have one question… it does not come with a tax invoice / reciept… does this mean it does not come with warranty?

Also, has anyone opened theirs? What is inside the box?

I am thinking of selling mine on Ebay too.

  • Hi gavt,I just changed my settings. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thx :)

  • thx gavt for the code. much appreciated :)

  • They've dropped the price to 100,200 pts + $17.00 freight

NOKIA N81 8GB with Free Nokia BH-101 Bluetooth Headset

      • grin

        Definitely :)

But I am surprised that they jacked up the points, only to drop them a bit a few weeks later … I wonder what is going on … :P

  • I am still waiting for my nokie N95, I claimed mine on the 08/12/2008. Still waiting……..

  • I claimed mine on 05/12/08……… still waiting too.. called Citibank Rewards, they sd it will take up to 28 days for delivery. Twiddle thumb.

    Is this phone unlocked?

  • it should be unlocked, have you got your phone yet ?

    • Yes, it was unlocked - all good except shocking battery life!

  • I am still waiting, not happy:( Just called citibank today and the operator has submitted a request to the reward centre and they will call me back within 5 working day.
    Still waiting and counting……..

  • I sumbited mine on the 6th of Dec, last time i spoke to rewards people they said I should have it by 6th Jan…..hopfully get it this week.

  • Woohoo! My phones finally both arrived today (ordered one on 6/12 and one on 8/12), delivered by Aust post messenger, and as reported by others they are the N95-1 plum model, with the "from" address saying "harvey norman corporate, taren point road". Can at last give my positive vote to this deal. Now have to:
    * check have latest firmware, and update as needed: http://europe.nokia.com/A4577224 (later v30 firmwares apparently are much better than the early versions)
    * Switch my phone carrier to PlanetISP: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=859393 (call rates are as marginally less expensive than my current carrier, but data rates are much less at 33 cents per Megabyte versus $26 per megabyte [yee gadhs, still can't get over eye-wateringly expensive that is!] ).
    * Have bought zagg shields for the phones using this 50% off voucher: SHOWSP09 (but shipping is US$11 per order, I could not find any way to avoid this).
    * Install some 3rd party apps (use google to seek out recommended free apps, but fring sounds useful).

  • brillaint, I am still waiting on mine and ordered same time as you so hope I get soon.

Thanks for the heads up about add-on and carriers info, let us know what else you add to it.

I was hoping to store tv eps on a memoery card and playback on phone, but I am not sure what video format it takes…any idea ?

Also do you need to convert video to fit nokia screen size or can you just drop video files (eg:divx) on to a memory card and play them on the phone straight away ?
