As per title, hoping to keep my number so I can receive texts for 2FA. What would be the cheapest 365 day prepaid esim I could switch to? I had vodafone but that just expired and it's now $165 minimum with a bunch of data I don't need. I moved to Canada and this was mid-2022. I looked everywhere and it seems cheap esim 365 day prepaid plans are going the way of the dodo. Do you guys know of any? Really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!
Yeah, you can get cheap sims, but not cheap E-Sims.
If you have a spare mobile, Aldi mobile. $5 for sim and $15 recharge which will last you 12 months.
Lebara has esim
Good to know!
Amaysim PAYG, $10 per year. https://www.amaysim.com.au/sim-plans/28-day-sim-plans/as-you…
Awesome I went with this as it looks like a relatively easy process to switch and they take PayPal. Thanks!
Can you receive international SMS for free.?
Look at the woolies and coles catalog for SIM specials this week.
Just thought I'd update this in case someone comes across this in the future. I ended up with Amaysim which offers a 365 day $10 prepaid esim and you can use paypal to pay if you don't have your aussie pay methods any more. I ended up paying an additional $15 for a roaming (in 90+ countries) 2gb/50 mins calling/30 SMS pack ($25 total). I think this is a great deal for a 365 day roaming pass. It's actually kinda red hot, even for anyone that just needs a backup eSim for travel.
Kogan - $120
Might be cheaper options though
