    • pretty subjective depending on where and which lounge. I used this in HK for a layover and it was brilliant. lounges was very nice and very empty with plenty of room - just watch out for 'guest' fees which I have learnt the hard way depends on the lounge.

    • It depends where you travel. A lot of people find it hard to use in North America, however if you do most of your travel in Asia then you should have no issues getting in and will find a variety of options at the major airports (especially Bangkok which has more than a dozen PP lounges to check out).

  • My rant about them is that couple of months ago we were doing a stop over in Singapore and thought we could use the priority pass. Went to the counter and was told “sorry, there’s no membership linked to your account”, suggested I call up the Priority Pass (side note, they don’t have a local number in Australia)

Called them up and was told that my membership had expired over 3 years ago. Said how is that possible when we’ve used it multiple times (used it in December last year). They couldn’t explain it.. dumb asses

Never understood the hype about lounges. I have PP through Citi and rarely set foot inside a lounge. But have raided multiple cafes per visit.

Even the worst cafe food is better than the best lounge food, IMO.

Yeah, the main benefit of lounges is almost never the food (except high end, a la carte places, or the Silverkris buffet etc). The benefits are quiet and comfortable spaces, showers, and limitless booze.

    • Airport lounges are excellent for
      - hot shower especially at transit airport after 10hr flight or just got off from work and about to catch an international flight at midnight.
      - a quiet place to close eyes to rest . The chairs are much comfy than outside
      - catchup last minute discussion with your colleagues if the trip is work related
      - food & beverage. May be subjective to taste but they’re free especially you are paying for your flight and trying to keep cost low.

  • I just signed up with Westpac Qantas Black cancelled in 2023 and it still works! thanks Bomba!

    • Did you still have the card or how did you get the card number?

      • Yes I still had the card in my card graveyard

  • I have real unlimited through Citi Prestige + fake unlimited through AMEX Plat so I gave this to my friend and it works. Thanks OP!

Used this a few times at Changi for transfer - Plaza Premium Lounge, and Aerotel outdoor swimming pool. Both were excellent.

    • Wasn't aware you could use the visit to access the pool…that's great.

So I have both the Westpac Qantas Black & AMEX platty. What do I do with this.

    • I'm not sure why this was downvotes (perhaps because this was already answered earlier).

tldr; it's worth activating both - Westpac PP can be used on restaurants (2 visits per year), while Amex PP can be used for (unlimited) lounge access

  • Hmm myself and someone else entered a lounge in August, just checked the app and it says I still have 1 remaining complimentary visit. Should it say 2 and say I have none left, or is it 2 visits for both yourself and someone else per year, which in that case 1 would be correct?

  • thanks op, worked for westpac velocity black card altitude card
