Seems to be the cheapest it's been in awhile.

Weirdly if you view the catalogue online it doesn't show the price just says "hot buy".

Credit to Steve Vella on Facebook page Aussie Gaming Bargains for the photo of the catalogue.

Also Dualsense is $79 (Mod: $71.20 with CODE XJUN2024)
PSVR2 $699

    VR2 $629 with everyday extras (10% off)

Worked for you? Mine kept throwing error.

      • +1

Testing it on my, it spits out error while PSVR2 and DualSense was in the cart, but no problem as soon as the PSVR2 was removed.

So yeah, looks like they've probably tagged the PSVR2 as a "console" (which the Everyday Extra code excludes).

    • Mind elaborating on the path you took to do this? 🙏🏻

    Wait for the pro version

    • I wouldn't if you want a ps5 now just get one for cheap. Consoles are consoles they will play the games in a playable format. Won't be PC levels of fps but it will be playable levels.

  • Just got the PS5 slim for $679 😒 from Big W

Can I get the refund ?

    • Buy this one and then return it on the original receipt?

  • FWIW if you have Amex, I wonder if you could get Sony to price match, and then you'd be able to stack with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846838 ($350 to get $50 back) - slightly better than buying/using 10% gift cards…

Nevermind. Supposedly not valid for PlayStation.

  • Last year's black Friday deal still the best offer ps5 has ever been. Shame they didn't throw in a game with this one for the same price.

  • Stack this with 10% off with woolies everyday extra

    • not game console

      • Darn it. At least I'll get credit card rewards.

  • It will be interesting to see what Meta do with Quest 3 pricing once the PSVR2 PC adapter is released. I wonder if they will reduce pricing. Looks like the PC adapter will be about US$60 so imagine it might be $99 in Australia to keep it neat. So basically the PS2VR on sale + PC adapter equals same combined price as a Quest 3.

Edit: Apparantly adapter will be AU$94.95 https://www.kotaku.com.au/2024/06/psvr-2-pc-coming-soon/#:~:….

    • I think they've got a Quest 3 Lite coming.

    • Meta won't be worried in any way about the PSVR2 coming to PC.

  • Anyone recommend the Pulse Elite Headset for $199?

I’ve read some user reviews saying the sound is great but issues with micro disconnections, has this been fixed?

  • so we can use code XJUN2024 to get 10% off? also, is it possible to use both discount code and gift card in one online order?

  • +1

    Online now.

Don't forget XJUN2024 for 10% off with Everyday Rewards.

    • Code not working with game console

      • does bigw accept gift card for online order?

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got it for $67.55! from big w. (10% woolies5, and 5% gift card).

    • where did you get 5% off gift cards, or was that from an earlier deal? best I could find was 3% off bigw gift cards through the app

      • Through my racv. I can check if I can get the code for that if u want, then I can pm u.

        • +1

          yeah that'll be good, thanks!

    • there is also an offer of 1000 pts for $70+ spend via the bigw app, might be targeted though… could bring it down to $62.55 if we include the $5 value of 1000 pts.

For those of you who are like me and can’t afford to spend the dollars during this sale period remember you can always Layby at Big W for 10% of the total plus $3 service fee (keep in mind $20 cancellation fee if you cancel the order).

I just did this for the digital and only had to pay $61.95 today to set it aside.

    • I believe I saw none of the items can be laybuy during toy sale

      • +1

I asked for the PS5 in store, they took me to the service counter and processed the layby which scanned at the sale price on the first day, so I'm sure you can.
I just checked the T&C plus FAQ page and can't see anything about Layby. The only part I see about Layby is that Afterpay can't be used on Layby purchases.
"No, Afterpay or Zip Pay cannot be used as a payment method for your Lay-by".
Maybe that is what you were referring to?

Hopefully someone else can confirm if they were able to. Goodluck all :)

Edit: Actually just saw on the front page of the Toy Sale Catalogue they are promoting Lay-by's for this sale.
"Toy Sale Lay-by BIG W's extended Lay-by for Christmas is returning for our BIG Whopping Toy Sale, which enables customers to pay off their purchases over up to 20 weeks with collection by 8 November 2024. In order to help families plan their Christmas, this year we've lowered our Toy Sale extended lay-by fee to $3. "

  • Is XJUN2024 still working? Its not working for me. I'm trying to buy the dualsense.

  • Looks like Costco pricebeat, it's $669 in-store and online. So good price if you already have costco membership. https://www.costco.com.au/Computers/Gaming/Gaming-Consoles/P…

  • Purchased this on BigW via Everyday Market to get 3x EDR points (total 3370 points = $16.85).
Also used cash rewards 3.9% cashback for new Everyday Markets customers for $26.29 cash back.
Currently free shipping for purchases over $30 on everyday market.

After cashback (and cashing in some everyday rewards points at the Woolies checkout) should leave me out of pocket $630.86.
    Thanks OP!

    • easily save another $60 by price matching at JB and use the current on sale TCN GC.

  • Received a Dualsense through this deal, and it's clearly a repackaged return from someone else and not brand-new. Probably not uncommon, but controller had some kind of dirt/debris all over the front and sweaty handprints on the back. Time from order to dispatch was also way longer than I would have liked; 3 days compared. In future I'll stick probably with Amazon.
