Just snagged this deal on the 75 inch Bravia 7. Cheaper than everywhere else by $600. I had vouchers for JB and had them price match it.

Sony Store was happy to price match Appliances Online, even with OOS. They have me an extra $20 off and I can use the 5% welcome code.
Must be a good T.V. set. Monstrous size!
Better than 75c855? according to the price tag, should be better?
I would purchase this over the C855 without hesitation.
Less dimming zones but far better image processing.
Incredible tv. I paid 2k for the 65". Blown away in all aspects
65 and 55 inch versions are also 50% off
X90L also half price. They any good?
Posted already, worth a read https://ozb.me/o/3ioH?u=em
X90L is a great TV at that price. We've got a 55 in the bedroom and a 75 in the living room.
Wish the 85 was this kind of discount
Which is better especially for gaming? This or X90L?
JB wouldn't price match because it's on backorder :(
ETA 14/2, thanks but no thanks. Bricks and mortar stores won't have a bar of it either because it's OOS. Oh well. Doesn't matter.
It's luck of the draw with price matching.
The person who posted this says JB price matched it.
JB price matched the X90L for me even though stock wasn't due until Feb 6.
Was ready for me to pick up at the store immediately and I got an extra $59 off to account for the free shipping.I've had other shops say no in the past but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I wouldn't buy it on back order though. Probably will be other deals between now and that date.
Yep - luck of the draw.
Got a TV and fridge both price matched earlier this week - TGG initially refused because on back order - tried again a bit later with someone else via chat and they did it.
JB happily price matched straight up on chat but listed the wrong model on the quote despite me listing the model and providing link. Got back in touch straight away and spoke to someone different and they flat out refused to honour previous discussion and price because model was on backorder. This was despite there being a chat transcript with them offering the match with that model and no issues…
JB Just declined my price match because it's on back-order.
Yeah completely agree. Went to bunnings on wednesday and asked if they would price match good guys commercial for the deco XE75 (3 pack) which is also on back order.
Not only did she matched thr price but she price beat it, so came down to $400.50 which is an ATL.
Also walked into good guys on boxing day to buy the 75c855, kept it short and sweet with the salesman told him what I wanted, told him the price others have got it for and showed the purchase receipt and he happily honoured the price. In and out in 20 mins.
Great deal, thanks OP! Was able to price match at sony where the rep did an additional $20 off, then used the 5% off welcome voucher. Final price at $2,433.90!
!How long did you wait for after subscribing to get the voucher in mail?
Edit: Got it in 10 minutes
I just did the same thing but did not received additional $20 off offer. Still a great deal with 5% off welcome voucher and hopefully 10% off cashrewards.
Asked on chat that apart from PM, can you shave a bit off.. they responded saying if you buy now, you'll get $20 off.. so got it for same price as @RowanLucas
Got the same deal as you. Happy as i was waiting on the c855 to drop again but think this is the better deal.
Can you confirm if your cashrewards has tracked?
Yes my cashrewards got approved.
@deckoy Approved or Pending status?
Ordered mine yesterday with the exact same details as you and mine is sitting at Pending@crazybeito: I’ve also ordered through Sony today and it’s tracking as pending in Cashrewards which is the expected status.
@crazybeito: Sorry, I meant pending.
whats the delivery wait times like from sony? do they have stock? not interested in waiting till mid feb for this
ETA 08/01 with DHL
i got the k65xr70 for under 2k delivered on ebay BF sales…absolute cracker of a tv
JB hifi online chat didn't play ball, so I called my local store and the person there did it straight to my phone via SMS.
Delivery costs weren't free, so they adjusted the base cost so the total including delivery was $2,582. Pick up was an option to make it cheaper, but it seems like only the distribution warehouses have stock (which is over 2 hours away from me in my state).
You got very lucky, I've called several stores in VIC but no luck. Their price match policy clearly states the item must be in stock. Well done :)
Damn that sucks! Seems like they caught on.
How does this compare to OLED? I want 75" but can't really afford that size OLED, so was thinking 65" OLED. Maybe this is the sweet spot?
Hesitant to pull the trigger on this because OzBargain seems to be all about LG C4 or TCL mini LEDs, haven't seen this going around at all, maybe just because there's not many deals on it?
It's because Sony TV's have been overpriced for a long time now (ever since Sony hit it big with the Bravia brand during the 1080p LCD era), so for the same screen panel technology you could get the TCL for several hundreds/thousand dollars less.
Sony didn't make sense when they were charging OLED prices for Mini-LED or Full Array LED products.
Now that Sony is doing these discounts to meet the market, I think you'll see more discussions popping up on this in the future.
EDIT: To answer you question, OLED is better in essentially every meaningful way, just a matter of whether you are happy to pay the price difference for the best main stream tech on the market at the moment.
I think it depends on your viewing environment. I would much rather put this in a bright room (eg: living room) over the Bravia 8 due to the superior peak brightness. A dim room (eg: bedroom) however, the Bravia 8 is a no-brainer. This panel war will end when Micro LED makes an appearance in the consumer market.
Have seen the sony x90L 75” on sale for $1950 also, is this worth the paying extra $600 over that model?
Not in my opinion. The X90L is excellent bang for buck right now.
Comparison: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/sony-x90l-x90cl-vs-s…The blooming is the biggest downside I would say.
Price matched the X90L 85’’ with JB, including free delivery. Called the number on their website. Initially, both TGG and JB refused when I tried in-store. Looks like you need to be a bit lucky to get a price match.
JB refused the price match on 65" on the first attempt (due to appliances online having it on backorder), but I just closed the chat and tried again, then they matched it. Was still $59 for delivery but said it was in stock for pick up near me.
JB online declined to price match but offered a measly $33 off their advertised price ($3188). Sony online price matched it and offered me a choice of an extra remote or a further $20 off. Cash rewards tracking successfully too.
Even cheaper than the boxed damage special during Black Friday.
Damn had i seen this yesterday i would of got this …. I was in the market for a 75” mini led to replace a 2021 65” Samsung Frame . As the room is a bright sun filled room so OLED wasn’t going to cut it .I really loved the TCL 855 but ive always had Samsung screens and I just couldn’t pull the trigger for a mid $2000 purchase TCL . Im sure they have come a long way and i felt for 75” under $3k the picture was the best . Yesterday the Bravia 7 was over $3k so i ended up sticking to what im familiar with and bought a Samsung neo qled ( mini led ) QN85D for $2750 + a Bose Smart Ultra and Bose 700 Bass Module .which was another $1800 or so
This or 85C855 for gaming mostly?
Thanks OP! Got this price matched from the Sony store they took $20 off + 5% off welcome coupon after dealing with sales support. $2434 delivered! Don't forget cash rewards another $221 credit tracked!
Great deal, great TV. Got mine for $2541 from Sony store but took me awhile.
