amazon is matching and has free delivery

I was going to get the Ryobi stick vac after having very good experience with the 18v hand held vacuum but hmm now not sure which way to go..

Brilliant! Would have ordered from amazon, but had a few JB gift cards left over that I managed to use.

Have heard great things about the Ryobi dual roller, but at $599, I felt it was a bit too dear, though it does come with 2 batteries and that's usually the first thing to fail on stick vacs. My old dyson and my dreame v9 both replaced due to failing batteries rather than anything else. The Ryobi will give you more longevity from that sense.

Just takes away my excuse for upgrading though :P

      • Yeah my dreame v9 died too. I got swept up in ozbargain fomo when for that weird period where it seemed like every ozbargainer and their dog had one.

        • Lasted 4 years, pretty happy with it for $300!

bought the ryobi dual roller after my dyson v7 battery died for the second time. 6 year warranty is the key thing for me. works quite well although emptying it can be a bit painful but that's a really first world problem. The stand also is not designed to support the whole weight of the vacuum - more to just hold it in place….which is a bit shit imo. I'm buying into the ryobi ecosystem after using AEG and Hitachi devices - Hitachi has been excellent but it's more professional and lacks skins that are one hit wonders….AEG…that was disappointing.

What it is missing is a flexible hose that is compatible with the tools, that way you can turn it on and get into tight spots as trying to using the tool on the vacuum as it is design is quite clumsy … apparently there is a hose from another company but my google fooing is failing me.

        Cheers
        TSK

  • I can’t get the mid-morning infotainment commercials out of my brain when I look at Shark vacuums

“Order now and get a second unit absolutely free, PLUS this completely unrelated kitchen gadget that slices, dices and tosses your salad! But that’s not all, for the first 100 callers we’ll DOUBLE the bonus item! That’s right - TWO vacuums AND TWO multi choppers for the price of ONE VACUUM!”

    • tosses your salad

      It what?!?

      • With extra dressing if you know what I mean

439 on good guys have 15% cashback?

  • How does this compare to a Dreame v11?

    • +1

      They both suck

      • Well played

We have this one and are happy about it so far.
I haven't used any premium stick vacuums before, so can't compare. Having said that, there are tons of comparison videos in YouTube.

We use a combination of Shark Stratos and Tineco S5 steam and the results are good.

Just received mine and had a play - excellent suction! As good as a corded vacuum!

Will definitely miss the convinience of a charging dock, but aside from that, first impressions are impressive!

Adding to this, wanted to give it a good test.

The anti-hair wrap is real - absolutely no hair. Brilliant!

I have a cheap Jashen V18 that we use upstairs, and I'd done a vacuum of the main bedroom on Sunday. I did a vacuum of the same room today and it picked up lots of dust, way more than we get on a weekly basis from the Jashen. We do use a proper wired vacuum once a month or so upstairs, and this picks up very similar amounts.

I also tested the motorised power head thing on the stairs, and it does a pretty good job. Similar to the dyson powerhead and the Dreame one.

The dustbin is a bit small, which is exacerbated by how much dust it pulls up, but I probably did empty it each time before it hit absolute capacity.

Emptying it is very easy, no need to put your hand in and pull stuff out like on dyson and dreames.

Overall i'm happy - again, wish it had a dock and somewhere to store the accessories. Might see if I can find something I can 3d print instead.

The odor neutraliser thing puts out a nice little scent - probably a bit of a gimmick but cheap enough to replace.

This thing is a beast, beats my previous Dyson and Dreame comfortably, highly recommended.

      • Hi
Is it easy to use on stairs?

        • Yup, I use the smaller powered head and it's easy to use on stairs.

  • Anyone know when the deal ends?

  • I ordered one of these several days ago, and it was showing an expected delivery date of 17 July(?) so I assumed they were on backorder and awaiting stock (despite the page showing it was in stock). I checked the "Track Package" link today just in case, and it now says "there has been a delay with processing your order …" and showing as unfulfilled.

The vacuum is still available on the website, and now shows an expected delivery date (and yes, I know that's not set in stone) to my postcode of 25 June?? So there's a delay in processing but if I ordered it today, it would be expected within a week, not a month?

    • Mine arrived the next day

      • I contacted JB HIfi via their live chat this afternoon, they advised that these are on back order, and the expected delivery date is still 17 July :(

  • Has anyone found where to get spare batteries for these?
