Lost Complete Seasons 1-6 on Blu-Ray from Amazon UK - Approx $59 Delivered

170

This is the complete 6 seasons on ~35 Blu-Rays of the ABC US drama at ~$10 per season delivered (the cheapest price it's ever been according to CamelCamelCamel)! Regardless of what you thought about the ending (I came to understand & accept it), it was some of the most original and riveting storytelling in US TV history.

Please note, the price says £41.99 when you first head over to Amazon UK, but drops to £38.57 (including delivery to Australia) on the final page of checkout. Amazon says these are region B Blu-Rays so they are compatible with Australian players.

  • Comparison price: £63.95 @ Zavvi delivered (AUD$98)

  • A very long-winded TV series. Season 1 & 7 are the best.

Except there is no season 7. :)

        I guess it was Lost!

        • cymbal crash :)

        • Ba dum tss

    • Mean season 6!

  • That's… wow. The Amazon US version goes for around $200.

Very tempted, though I have no intention of watching those 108 episodes ever again. Not sure if it makes sense to buy it anyway just because I can, or save my money.

    Suggestions?

    • Only you can decide really. I first watched the show when it was on TV. I then gave it a number of years an re-watched it again (in conjunction with reading the websites with theories, episode guides, etc. - Lostpedia @ http://lostpedia.wikia.com/ was my main resource). It gave me a whole new understanding of it. Found it quite rewarding actually, and helped me to better explain the story, especially since I didn't have to wait a week until the next episode!

I'm in the same boat or, plane, as you 'lostn'. I really want it on Blu-Ray, I loved the show so much, but the main reason I liked it so much was the suspense and twists.. Not sure if I'd fall in love with it again when I know what happens next

      • "know what happens next"

That seems to be the case with 'mystery' type/genre driven dramas. 24 on the other hand…

    • Double comment- I hate satellite internet

They promises dinosaurs, only to deliver smoke monsters.

  • While the show did end disappointingly, going on the fan forums after each episode was fun. Everyone had their own theories and explanations.

I don't think the Blu-Ray set will bring that fun back, but a bargain nonetheless.

    • You always remember the first time fondly! :)

  • thanks, grabbed this one.

Did you use their currency converter? You'd be better off paying in GBP and using a 28 deg MC. That should be closer to $59.

    • As per wxyz234, if you let Amazon do the conversion for you they do it in their favour since they add commissions. My conversions are always done on www.xe.com which is the currency conversion mid-market rate and doesn't factor these commissions in. It currently says the conversion is $59.2511. The 28 deg MC is popular because it also does not apply commissions and uses very similar rates. Enjoy the series and numerous bonus features!

  • Had the potential to be a great series…. but then it went all crazy in the story line because they wanted to stretch it out longer than they should have for the $$$$. First season or two was good, but the rest is for the birds.

    • They insisted from the beginning it be 108 episodes (that's what all the numbers adds up to). It was always going to be that long. They just weren't sure how to fill it up.

Like you, I found the crazier it got the less I liked it, but I was still compelled to watch it.

  • At least the show had the right name… I couldn't follow a thing.

At least I saved $59 today!

    • Its not so much "die another day", but more like "buy another day!".

  • Sorry all, price has gone up to £53.99 now so expiring the deal.
