      • Wow, that s a lot of GCs. May i know which suburb? Thanks

  • Anyone know how I can use 2x $500 cards to pay for vehicle rego with WA dept of Transport, amount is $894? Thks

    • +1

If they allow PayPal add it to PayPal and do split payment. Or go in and pay in person

      • +1

Only if WA GOV allows split payment in PayPal like NSW GOV. PayPal has no control over it.

  • Can anyone confirm this: "Bonus points can take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card from date of purchase."

Has anyone received the points already or do we really need to wait for 14 business days?

    • For my purchases it has been instant, it even comes up on the screen about how many points will be awarded when you pay

      • Damn I don't see anything on my app. Made the mistake of using the assisted checkout (human operated) instead of the self serve. I asked the girl if it picked up my rewards card and she said "yes". Gotta reach out to their customer service on Monday now ☹️

        • +1

It is usually instant or never on giftcards with Woolies. If you dont see the points during checkout most likely you will need to get in touch with the CS for a manual "goodwill credits"

        • +3

When Everyday Rewards is scanned successfully, the screen facing you would show a loyal program icon (or something like that).

It's actually preferred to go through assisted checkout in this instance, because self checkout will popup too many warmings.

          I recall five:

          1) After entering $500 for the first card.
          2) After entering $500 for the second card.
          3) Reaching limited of 2 variable card.
          4) Business details Yes or No (because over a thousand).
          5) EFT payment over a thousand (can probably avoid this one if pay $16 in cash).

In my case there were additional overrides because the payment card was declined twice, the assistance had to come back and forth that many times.

    • Bonus points show up in Everyday Rewards app instantly.

  • Anyone been asked to provide their address? Hasn't happened to me before. Staff said it was asking for business address / business details for some reason but it wasn't gonna be used anywhere.

    • +3

Yeah, have been buying them daily, only 1 staff member asked about it, just ignored her.

Business details are only important if you are going to use the receipt for tax purpose, because purchases over a thousand need to have name and address on the invoice to be valid.

If you refuse to provide, it will just print "not supplied by customer".

It's possible that they are obliged to ask the question to give you an opportunity to provide such details, but you are certainly not obliged to provide any details.

Not sure how paper receipts look these days, on eReceipts there's a Business Details section after Payment when total amount is $1,000 or above.

      Business Details
      Not Supplier by Customer
      Street Address:
      Not Supplier by Customer
      Suburb:
      Not Supplier by Customer

      • I see! Yes my receipt has those 3 fields, with my address that I provided on it. Next time I'll ask if that can be skipped. Thanks ☺️

        • +2

Just buy the cards in two transactions. Just like with the recent TCN Eftpos promotions, the one transaction per day requirement for variable cards isn't being enforced.

    • I've been asked a few times to supply business details and didn't provide so they just put in something not too sure what. However at a different Woolies someone else asked for my name and address (not business) so I had to provide :( . I was lucky enough to be served by a real manager 2 times so far and it was a breeze, the rest was a bit painful

I found lots of the $25-$500 Vanilla GCs in Woolworths stores I visited this WE!

Before you ask where, I'm currently on holiday in Tasmania…haha!

Have gone to town literally…have bought 8 x$500 this WE :)

  • can we use this card to buy ultimate gift card in coles ? thanks

    • +1

Sure can, bought a few Ultimate gift cards earlier today, along with other groceries (not sure if that made a difference).

The ETPOS machine asked for a PIN, which I didn't have, so just pressed OK. It then ask for signature verification, assistant asked to sign on a stub but she didn't care to verify (there's no signature on the prepaid card).

Anyway, now I know I can setup a PIN online and have done so to make things easier next time.

      • +3

You can enter anything for the Coles Mastercards, most likely the same for this.

      • Wow, this really works?

      • yeah because last time someone report that staff stop you buy gift card with prepaid mastercard. just anoying

  • Does anyone know when purchasing a $500 Vanilla GC can you split payment for it over 2 credit cards?

    • +2

      Yes, I did that yesterday.

      • Great thanks! Did you do self-checkout? Hoping there's still some left today

  • If anyone is on the Gold Coast, the Runaway bay Woolworths has a ton of variable load ones available.

  • If any left around Melbourne?

    • I have never seen this since last Wednesday

  • Just bought 4 of these cards, is the best approach to purchase shopback supermarket cards with these and then use those cards to buy TCN/Ultimate GC/Apple gift cards at supermarket when 10% off?

Just want to confirm these cards do work on shopback cards, and that shopback supermarket cards do work on TCN/ultimate/apple gift cards at supermarket
Couldn't see it on @WookieMonster awesome GC faq

    • +1

Just want to confirm these cards do work on shopback cards

I do not cover the ShopBack gift card portal on my FAQ, partly because I do not actually use ShopBack myself! However, the plethora of comments I have seen indicate that Coles Mastercard gift cards and Vanilla Mastercard gift cards (which are almost identical) can be used on the ShopBack portal.

shopback supermarket cards do work on TCN/ultimate/apple gift cards at supermarket

It should work fine, as long as staff do not stop you.

The only TCN gift card you cannot purchase using a ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift card at Woolworths is a TCN eftpos gift card(eftpos.gift) (i.e. the open-loop gift cards that can be used basically anywhere eftpos prepaid gift cards are accepted).

Managed to load up while in regional areas (not wise to the arbitrage of free points), and a quieter suburban outlet. As I was out of town a few days, I hit two cards behind some very niche products, still there when I got back tonight.

    • -2

Why am I being negged? 😂

      • +1

Presumably because you admitted to hiding gift cards.

  • Anyone manage to reach the Mastercard Gift Card Customer Service at +61 (07) 5660 6022? I've not been successful for the past few days.

I just called that number and got through to the automated menu options (with the annoying American accent).

      • Strange. I just called and it still said the number I called is not taking any call now. Did you call 07 5660 6022?

        • +1

Yes, that is the number I dialled

  • +1

Thanks. It's strange that I'm not getting through. Will try tomorrow.
