I found this bonus points on the Qantas Marketplace. According the the Finder points calculator the 2,500 points is worth $50

      Not speaking to the value either way, but these are compression packing cubes. The $15 ones at Kmart are just normal ones (that can be bought from Aliexpress for even less).

        $11 for 2 large compression packing cubes.

        I have this Kmart version and they are good.

        However, I have moved on to 'one bag travel' to avoid the need for check-in baggage. I now use the waterproof inner bag that came with my Topeak Bikepacking Bag - it's got an air valve at the end of it and you just throw all your clothes in and roll it shut, which squeezes all the air out through the valve. I can fit two weeks' worth of clothes in it (I'm heading overseas for two weeks on Saturday) and it fits comfortably into my 40L backpack. The backpack is only 6.55kg too including toiletries and electronics! I honestly can't believe it - it feels liberating to travel this way.

          I did my first one bag trip to Japan in Oct/Nov 2024 for 2 weeks. Loved it! I've upgraded to a Patagonia Blackhol 42L (last trip I used a RipCurn beach/surf back pack) for a 2 week trip to Korea in Oct/Nov 2025. I assume you've come across /r/onebag

    $65 for packing cubes is a lot of money considering you can get them from Kmart, Target, even Temu for a fifth of the price. Looks like you are mostly paying for the points.

    how do you calc 2,500 = $50 the $65 need 13k points. and i have more than 400k in my account how can I get the $8k for the points I have in my account?

    Finder's points valuations are overly generous to Qantas. A good rule of thumb is that you should never pay over 1 cent per point.

    If you're only interested in buying these things for the points, the best value deal seems to be this overnight bag which gets you 15,747 points for $249. That's a cost of 1.6 cents per point assuming you value the bag at zero.

    Personally, I'd rather buy wine. With the addition of the 5,000 points new customer bonus these six bottles would earn you at least 29,449 points for $449.94 or a cost of just 1.5 cents per point.

      That's a great find. I've had to find ways to top up points for flights. I've bought wine before but I don't drink. It's still in the cupboard. It was cheaper to buy wine than buy top up points direct from Qantas

    Is bonus points targeted or where does it show you will receive 'x' bonus points?

    Sorry if i'm missing something obvious but I went to the end of checkout and the points were around 3 per dollar with no bonus mentioned.
