Thanks Op. also you can stack WINE30 for 30% off on selected wines.

    • -1

      I don't think you can

      • +1

        works

      • +1

Definitely can. You want to spend at least $142.86 on wine so you can benefit from WINE30, CHEERS25 and, of course, CAKE.

        • Anyone know if my "When you complete a $160 shop at Coles each week for 4 weeks" will still work if I add $160 worth of stuff to my cart but use the above codes so the total order is below $160?

          • @videoman: Nope, needs to debit 160 from your card.

          • @videoman: $160… I guess you spend a lot at Coles…
My guess… if you stop visiting Coles for a while, it might drop to $50 per week for 4 weeks… Dunno how long it will take

          • @videoman: you would have to add enough to the cart that the discount would still take it to $160+

          • +1

@videoman: It depends on the specific coupon I think, others say it doesn't work, but it worked for me last week with the SAVEMORE one.

            I ordered on the 28/05

            3 x $48 carlton cases ($144.00)
            1 x Hahn Super Dry Cans ($53)
            Totalling $197.00
            Less $45 coupon

Charged $152.00 and qualified for the first week (spend $160).

Incidentally, the cans were not in stock; they tried to give me bottles so i had to refuse the bottles (1l less beer), so they refunded the $53 a few days later.

Not sure if same applies to this coupon, but certainly did for the last savemore coupon.

Tracks in flybuys app as a $197 purchase.

  • Does alcohol count towards the flybuys spend requirements?

    • I didn't think it did? Just looked up, seems alcohol does count

    • Isn't the requirement to spend at Coles, not liquorland?

Edit - interesting. I never realised you could order liquor through the Coles website. Why do they even bother with a liquorland website if that's the case?

      • This is sort of new for Coles can order Liquor and they also recently got a big liquor discount.

Would the bigger shopback % with Liquorland with specific product discount one of the reason? ;)

Coles freebclick and collect required $50+ while Liquorland does not gave a minimum spent requirement.

      • Why do they even bother with a liquorland website if that's the case?

Most people know them as two seperate entities.

    • +1

Yes, just not the cookware credits.

    • +1

You have been able to get liquor through Coles shop for ages BUT only certain stores have click and collect. And there is no easy way to tell. You need to select stores near you and try. They also don’t sell the entire Liquorland range. Other than that all points, etc apply as if you are buying bread and milk.

  • guess it depends if there are any of those specially marked Carlton dry cases left and if they give you one in your order

    • The 2000 first app purchase headline does show up from time to time in app.

I got the screenshoot while the T&C for first app purchase is in the Coles online offers and rewards. This is my first post and I will figure out with the screenshot later after work ;)

      • I looked for it this morning online and found it….said was between 29th May-4th June, but now can't find it….I should have taken a screen shot then

finally found it again at the bottom of the page and have now taken a screenshot

in the app promo this does say min $50 spend required.

      • Ah ok. I just saw it on the website. Good to know.

  • is this going to stuff our spend XX for 4 weeks offers in the future? I did a couple of alcohol purchases online last week to get the $45 off. At least I have my husband's account if it stuffs mine….he didn't get the spend xx for 4 weeks deal this time. I did have mine down to spend $50 each week x 4 get 10K points….oh well.

i will let you know once my order finalized to tonight and the invoice available if this counts toward week 2.

      • ok, thanks. I'm not picking up until tomorrow 4pm and I was going to do my Coles shop tomorrow (I have the spend $50 x 4, plus bonus 2000 points to spend $60 this week)….I just ordered 2 x beer today, plus free mudcake….if they have any of them left by 4pm tomorrow pick up slot….has to be 4pm earliest for NSW for alcohol pick up

      • +1

It counts towards 10000 points weekly spend - it is like buying bread, etc.

        • +1

Just to also confirm this counted for week 2.

      • did it show that it counted towards your spend?

    • +1

@souths123 it likely will stuff up the minimum spend in the next few offerings… has in the past for me :/

      • yes, that is what I was thinking. I missed a few earlier this year (for no reason I could see) but I think this might do it again. Hopefully my husband gets offered it the next couple of times. I do the shopping and just use his card instead of mine

  • @thanks9527, did you get your cashback from the St.George promotion? I shopped for the last two months and still yet to receive $10 cashback.

    • got May $10 quick quickly after start of May spending.

      • Ok, thanks :)

    Thanks OP.

Crazy how many targeted flybuys deals there are that stack at the moment.

I just ordered $102, and will be getting:
    - 4,000 points ($20) for first online shop > $100
    - 2,000 points ($10) for one shop > $80
    - 2,500 points ($12.50) for one of my 4x >$60 shops each week for 10,000 points (at the end).
    - 5x points on dairy products & bakery products
    - 10% off on cleaning products
    - Free mud cake

    • Good on you!

    • Do you need to check out with flypay to receive the points or does linking your flybuys card to your coles online account automatically apply flybuys at checkout?

      • Not sure what flypay is. Doesn't say flypay in the t&c. Have to wait for a couple days for the points to show up so not sure yet.

      • linking your flybuys card to your coles online account automatically apply flybuys at checkout

Anyone else noticed there is now a "packing fee" for delivery of $1.50. On my last purchased they called this bags. Given I only had one item that's an awefully expensive (shitty) paper bag.

I suspect they copped a lot of flack over charging $1.50 for paperbags, so it's now just called "packing".

    • I've had the packaging/bag fee not actually charged on many of my recent orders so I'd suggest waiting and seeing.

      • my tue 28 may invoice was charged as a product item

        %Coles 100% Recycled Paper Bag Per Order 1 each 1 1.50 1.50

    • Agree that the bags are a rip off but its worth it overall if you choose $2 shipping

Thanks OP - scored 2 Coriole sangiovese and 3 Pikes Riesling (and a cake) for $76.50 plus $2 delivery and (probably) $1.50 'packaging'. Not bad given that Dan's is charging $27 for the Pikes alone. (Now to see if Coles can actually deliver!)

    • Nice price. Can't get Pikes in WA otherwise I would have done the same.

    • did they deliv

If you've linked your flybuy card to your coles online account does it automatically apply when you make transactions?

    • yes, you should see your card info showing

  • Expiry is June 18

    • First app purchase bonus point is tmr. With Coles only count the checkout day that you cannot change your order, this would be today or tmr.

      • I don't remember whether I placed an order on app before. Is there a way to check?

        • appear to me the app would only show instore and app orders before but not the coles online via web browser

          • @thanks9527: Thanks for the reply!!
            I just checked it.
For the orders placed via web browser, the app does not show the orders placed last year but it does show the order placed last week.
So, I guess they changed it this year.
I tried to place an order on the app anyway, but it shows an error. I tried it on 2 different phones but they all get the same error. I had to order it via web browser.

  • Tried to claim the cake on my online order this morning. Adding the promo code decreased the amount of items in my basket, but INCREASED the total cost of the shop!

    • Did it add the cake to the order though? On mine it added the cake, but at the same time took the cake cost off the total

      • cake added when applying the promo code, not adding it during cart.

        • hhhmmm, seems strange. Mine added and stayed in cart, took off the cost of it and I picked it up this afternoon. Can you try it on another browser or in the app, whichever is a different way of doing the order to what you are doing now. Is the total of your cart more than $50? Maybe it won't let you add it until it gets to $50+ as it says a min order of $50

  • Apparently flybuys NZ is closing down but not our local version?

    • wow, that is crap for NZ. I certainly hope it doesn't happen here!

Coles have recently added their own barcode to scan in their app. At the checkout it prompts us to scan either of this or our Flybuys. Could be a step towards Flybuys closing down here?

      • damn, I hope not!

    Mission accomplished, thanks OP.

Haven't had a mudcake in years

Any ideas how to check if we've met the spend required from online orders with the spend $x per week in one shop for 4 weeks and get 10k flybuys points?

Receipts from in store purchases usually tell you if you've achieved or not

    • All of your orders, in-store and online, are available when you log in to the Coles website.

      • I think they mean when you do an in store shop the receipt says congrats you have completed week X shop, but the online order doesn't let you know

        • +2

Online order receipt will also tell you at the end

          • @thanks9527: not on mine it didn't, doesn't even say how many points earned…just what the points total was yesterday

            • +1

@souths123: I checked the invoice from last week and it shows the info on the last page.

            • +2

@souths123: There should be two things printed on the last page of the PDF invoice under Orders: a petrol voucher and your week 2 qualifying shop (if you met the spend)…

              • +1

@MELso: ah yes thank you, checked the PDF invoice and confirmed I've met week 2 required spend, nice. The presumable targeted 10% off cleaning products offer is only adjusted after an order is placed, so a note for those who're wanting to use online order to hit their weekly required spend.

  • I ended up paying $11 for delivery because I thought I was a Coles plus member but I'm actually a Coles plus saver member which seems to be something different so be careful with that…

    • Can you cancel the order and do click and collect?

    • Coles plus saver still eligible for $2 midweek delivv slots ?

      • +1

I'm pretty sure I did see that option, just didn't choose it cos I thought I was getting free delivery

  • If I select $109 liquor but pay $84 after using code Cheers20, do I get 4000 points for a shop of $100 or more? The exclusions are discounts, specials and vouchers. A code is none of these. I have messaged Flybuys but probably won’t hear back by SMS in time as points deal ends Friday. I will call but often hold for eons before giving up.

    • i could see my transaction logged in flybuys as original value (including paper bag) before discount / code / delivery fee.

      • You don’t see anything in Flybuys until a day or so after you collect your order or it is delivered, even the basic points,

        • +1

I prefer Woolworths when it comes to reward points. I can check straight after
          Flybuys is too slow

          • +1

@Suricate: And they show the points online before you finalise your order, no guessing at all. Same at self serve checkout, and assisted checkout I think.

    • I didn’t risk it so I did a $125.20 order that came down to $100.20. I also had a last minute 10 times points offer. So, I got the 4000 points, of course, BUT I also got 1250 points not 1000. So, using a code DOES NOT affect the cart cost you need to reach even though the code takes your final invoice cost below it.

NOTE - I did this once before on a $70 shop for 2000 points that came down to $56 odd after using 20% off liquor code. Didn’t want to risk it this time though.

  • No helpful explanation, they cancelled a day later:

This is a courtesy notification that your Coles online order has been cancelled.

Not sure why you have received this? Please contact our customer care team on 1800 455 400, or you can also text us on 0429 989 656 and we'll respond within 30 minutes during opening hours . We are always happy to help.

    • whats ur order about

      • Johnnie Walker. So their email said "Not sure why you have received this? Please contact our customer care team on 1800 455 400…", I called and after a long wait in the queue, their CS shed no light on the reason and said it sometimes happen.

  • Anyone know when this deal expires?

The CAKE promo wouldnt work for me, then I noticed that the mud cake offer is showing as out of stock for me at https://www.coles.com.au/offers/25th-birthday-sale. Tried changing to several local stores but no luck.

    • came to say same thing CAKE OTU OF STOCK WTF ?

  • +1

Flybuys manually credited 4000 points for $100 gross spend after I sent email about $106.75 order for liquor less $25 code ($76) and free cake ($5.75) less $14 for 4 pack out of stock.

My spend was $62 in the end and I got 92 points initially.

So, now I know their codes count towards spend required to earn bonus points and have email proof.

    • So, now I know their codes count towards spend required to earn bonus points and have email proof.

interesting given that T&Cs of their offers generally always state something similar to:

      • $100 or more must be spent in one transaction, after all savings, discounts and vouchers

Wow, I had such a good time with this over the last fortnight…

I happened upon one item at my local that was listed as in stock but is never stocked when my order is fulfilled on the day. What happens is they subtract the full price pre-discount ($78, in this case) from the total order, which equates to giving a $25 cut to the other items that made up my $100 eligible purchase (i.e. $25 off the >$22 required to meet to minimum spend).

So I ended up with a whole bunch of purchases ranging from $0-10 to stoke up on some decent reds, sparkling, 6-packs, cheaper spirits/mixers.

Not the first time, it's happened 2 or 3 times before, just maybe never as good as this. I remember happening upon a brandy that they never stocked and having that (~$30-40) subtracted from minimum $50 spends when 20% discounts were applying. Just the luck of the draw when you pick something that's listed but never stocked.

Coles really does provide unbeatable liquor deals sometimes. Even the original 20% off (or $25 off here) are usually better or at least on par with the cashback offers, without the waiting period and cashback approval risk.

  • they shouldve made the cake promo available to all 3 of the range (choc white caramel) and not just the choc mud
