Toshiba 47VL900A 47" FHD 3D LED $696.50 ($1999RRP) after Cashback @ JB Hi-Fi

1190

Seems to be an awesome deal for a 47" FullHD Smart 3D TV. This is passive 3D with dual full screen play mode, which means 2 players can play a game and get a full screen to themselves. It also comes with the wireless dongle I believe to connect to your network for all the smart features. I think it also comes with 4 pairs of glasses, at least the 55" does. 100hz native refresh rate with 400AMR

Price is $846.60, but Toshiba are offering $150 cash back which brings it down to $696.50.
This info can be found at https://redemption.isd.toshiba.com.au/Terms/TOSHIBA%202012%2…

The 55" is also available for $1356.50 and you get $200 cashback on that bringing it to $1156.50

Price is also available in store, or free shipping apparently

  • I ordered this online on Saturday - free delivery which is great as well.

On Sunday JB Hifi sent me a message asking me to send me a copy of my ID and a utilities bill showing them my delivery address - this will be a bit tricky since I bought it for my dad and getting it sent to his house.

Anyway, it seems really odd that they have asked for this information since they already have my credit card details and have access to payment. I can understand banks wanting this info, but I've never had any online retailer ask for this… Is anyone able to shed any light on this?

    • I guess with CC payments, bank can reverse payment on request while someone has the goods?

  • Yep I just got asked for documentation via email. Pretty crappy considering they can cancel your order if they go out of stock before you send off your documentation.. Oh well already completed it just waiting for a response.

  • Has anybody been able to play OU (over-under) 3D successfully on this? Each one I've tried doesn't work properly. SBS (side-by-side) works fine.

    • The only over under Ive tried is splitscreen Black Ops, using the LG dual view glasses. And that works good, each player getting their own screen. And then Ive tried the SBS in 3d movies which works very well, but ive not had a over under 3d movie yet.

      • And I've got my cashback already!
