According to RANZCOG guidelines breastfed babies are recommended to have 400IU daily vit D supplementation until 6 months of age
Formula fed babies will generally get enough from formula
I would rather buy this. It's 250 dosage @ 0.2ml (400IU).
Nothing against OP but this is cheaper unit price
But the this one is for kids 12 year listed one is for infants
You can use this one for infants too. Just calculate dosage
Probably not because of the added orange oil
Helya, same boat. Ostelin Infant Vitamin D3 Drops 2.4ml and adult version at the Amazon link.
Been doing search and dig and go through all the detail.
It just a dose amount problem - calculation as long as you work out the exact amount after dilution by dropping the correct ml that less than 400IU intake. Perhaps, parents need to aware of additional intake vit D if formula is mainly consumed daily. What's the catch here? Someone in that field, please enlight me.
Well there may be one during my searching, the additive orange flavor causing allergies. Most of the times, infant supplements often advertised as no added addictive and flavor. But, I did see a brand Vit D with toffee flavor? So I don't understand…
Yep it's the additive
Thought it was a sale on Durex based on thumbnail…
This one below is much better value with 187 doses vs 80 at a lower price

This one dispenses 200IU per drop so you need 2 drops. That comes to 93.5 doses. It also contains sucralose/butterscotch flavour which I would not give my infant
It’s 187 doses.
My kids all had this when they were babies. No issues at all
What only 400IU!
Babies need at least 100,000. start them young…..
