So what you're saying is, we should order 79 of them at $1 each for free delivery

    • +4

      Max 10 per order.

      • +1

        that's no fun :(

  • +4

Already out of stock (well at least the Frosted Glass Pump and clear glass spray was as that’s what I ordered)

    • +1

agreed, none would work for me

    • Just ordered Frosted glass pump, along with the charcoal glass ones.

    • Didn't work for me

      • Bummer. I’ll delete comment.

  • Anyone know if the hand wash bottles work with foam soap?

    • +1

Hi yes it does, I use this and it’s been a good addition to the home

    • Should only work for normal liquid soap

  • +5

Don't even bother. The items start dissappearing from your cart by the time you checkout.

  • +1

    Error message at checkout, OOS

  • OOS for all :(

  • -8

Bought 10 charcoal glass pump, not sure if they will honour

  • -5

    OOS, checkout doesn't work.

    • Just bought some no issues at all 10mins ago but I wasn’t excessive I got what I actually need.4 spray bottles 2 hand wash and 2 deodorants.

  • +2

was able to get x2 spray bottles and x2 of the bottle pumps, lets hope they honour! i just kept trying to add into my cart and checking out until the order was confirmed.

  • +2

I had to be a bit patient, and re-add things multiple times before the cart was accurate, but everything ordered just fine. There's also a 25% (sorry, 20%) off price for signing up for the first time.

    • How did you get 20% off? I only got a 10% off code for signing up

      • I just signed up via the popup, and got an instant 20% off code (and emailed it too).

        • Are yours also minimum $30 spend?

          • +1

@ozilicious: Yes, $30 minimum spend. I didn't realise that because I didn't notice the fine, fine, fine print, and I'd ordered $40 of stuff!

  • -7

Able to get 10 charcoal pumps.

    • -1

T&C's state "Orders are limited to one per customer". Best of luck with your order!

      • +1

When you enter the quantity it says maximum of 10.

Each order is limited to 10 units of promotional items

        • Ah, you can have up to 10 per order per item but are limited to ordering once at the pay what you want price. My bad.

    • 1 for every area of the house… you'll never be far away from a hand pump now xD

  • Worked for me, got 2

  • Thank you. I am too late to the game.

  • Got 10

  • +1

I don't really understand why they are doing this?

    • Cheaper than recycling?

      • +3

nah are they trying to promote their brand or raise money for donations or they just getting rid of stock….

like $1 is nothing so just trying to see what their intentions are

    • +2

They are very cheap when they buy wholesale and they are getting cheap advertisement for selling a few hundred of them. Like kmart 1 litre glass jars are 2$ each, which includes manufacturing, shipping from china and profits.

      • -1

I'm aware of the brand but they're not getting my business but I would use their products if I didn't have to pay

        • Ya, you may not, but others might get to know about them. I didnt know they existed let alone paying 18bux per bottle at full price.

          • +1

@John Doh: if you been around Ozbargain long enough you would know just about everything

            • @Poor Ass:

I don't really understand why they are doing this?

Agree, I was just answering that.

Or maybe they thought someone would order thier soaps to fill the jars and buy 79$ worth of items to get free shipping. lol. I didnt order the free bottles as i didnt need one and its still 10$ shipping.

              • @John Doh: loss leader strategy

                • @Poor Ass: Definitely raising brand awareness, although I honestly doubt they're making any loss

                  • @ozilicious: nah doesn't mean they are making a loss overall

it means they make a product that isn't gaining any money in return for people buying other stuff with them or affiliated like refills

like when people walk all the way to the back of Costco to get the BBQ chicken while it's not making money they might go past something that interest them and they might buy it during that walk

                    • @Poor Ass: You're right, it doesn't mean they're making a loss overall.

My comment was stating my estimate that they're easily able to cover cost at $1/bottle based on my experience working in the industry.

        • I guess its brand recognition, companies give out free bag packs, shirts and mugs at various expos related to professions so people think of their brands more.
Also even though I don't want to pay extra for soap, because of these bottles I am tempted to try one of their soaps to go with the bottle.

  • Thanks! Got a couple of the pump bottles and sprayers.

  • +8

Get the deodorant, fill with clothes washing liquid and use on stubborn stains. Works like wonders! Thinking of using spare one with sunblock from a big container. Hopefully works as well as for the clothes.

    • note that sunscreen should ideally be kept in an opaque container (ie the one it came in). but if you must, use the black glass one (but even then it's not very dark/opaque) but also keep it away from light.

  • +8

In what universe is a tiny glass bottle $27.95

    • +3

      non-discounted jacked up universe.

    • +1

One where they want to sell it through Woolies/Coles and leave enough margin for the stores, buyers, merchandisers, and goodness knows what else.

  • +1

Website is terrible, in stock, out of stock, can't find item… Eventually managed to get a few and checkout. 50/50 if it turns up or not

  • Finally was able to buy 4 items. Barely a 'deal' to be honest, and a waste of time trying to get checkout to work without stock disappearing.

Honestly I think they've intentionally set it up to be frustrating as some weird tactic.

    • Maybe there were 100 bottles each. I see 2600 clicks. I dont think so a neg is warranted.

      • +7

It took probably 10 times for checkout to work - items randomly showing up as out of stock during checking, during shopping etc. Lots of wasted time…

If they want to limit the amount sold they should come up with a better way than whatever this method is

        • Selling 500 bottles at 1$ = probably 500$ loss. Asking thier IT infra to re-tune for OZB sales = 5000+$

        • +1

I don't think the company expected it to be listed on Ozbargin and their servers are just overloaded. It's annoying I'll agree with that but we're still able to order which shows they want to honor the deal, which can't be said for most companies when they see the massive uptick in site visits/sales during a promotion. I also agree that a neg isn't necessary, websites getting hugged to death is just part of the fun Ozbargin experience imo.

          • +2

@Annoying Source: Agree, when you go out to a park and there is free food served, there will always be a queue. Food might get over by the time our term comes or it might start raining and get windy, or even mosquitoes might bite. All those things cannot be blamed on people serving the food. This is the same just digital way. And nobody is blaming the people who bought 10 or created multiple accounts and bot more.

        • +1

After the second try I'm out, you chose to try 10 times and then complaining about wasted time is a bit hypocritical

    • +2

Barely a 'deal' to be honest, and a waste of time trying to get checkout to work without stock disappearing.

Time is the price you pay for a bargain. If you are time poor, then pay full price, or get something from your local Kmart instead.

  • Ended up with 4 pumps clear for $2 each and 4 spray bottles for $2 each

  • OOS

  • +3

Said OOS when entered at $1 each. Tried at $2 and they went through. Reckon they have allocated certain number of stocks for each price point.

    • +2

$2 each was sold out, so went to $3. Think you might be right.

    • yea don't be too cheap and you'll get some.

too bad the aluminum ones aren't on the same deal.

    • I went with $2 each and checked out with 4 black glass bottles and 3 white ones. Looks like it worked

  • -2

Just got 10 clear frosted hand pump. Thanks OP

    • $1 each

  • +1

Tried $1 and $2 OOS, then try $3 order placed.
    Well…

  • +2

I'd rather pay $2 for a frosted glass bottle without the branding

    • Where can you buy the non-branded one from?

  • +10

People ordering 10 of these things is the reason we can't have nice things.

    • Seriously wtf are these morons going to do with 10? Do they have 10 bathrooms/sinks in their mansions? Just pure greed it’s pathetic.

  • Does anyone know if the pump/spout foams the liquid soap?

    • +2

Foaming requires aeration. I dont think these small pump heads have them. And they are not selling foam liquid. So probably not.

  • +1

    Got
    - 1x Black and 1x White deodorant at $1 each.
    - 2x Charcoal pump at $1.10 each
    - 2x Spray bottle at $2 each

Very happy with that, this is going to be genuinely useful, thanks op.

    • +1

      How did you manage that?

It keeps removing anything I put in the cart.

      • +2

Did the same for me. Persistence and I'm sure luck.
I think if you opt to pay more there's less chance that it will disappear. I really wanted the spray bottles but they seemed to always disappear very quickly, so I opted for the higher price and then they stuck around for the whole time while I faffed about with the others disappearing.

        • Thanks, yeah I'm putting $2 for everything but it keeps removing them pretty quick.

I'll give it another crack, see what happens.

  • +5

Why don't they ever show if the item is out of stock right up at the front page? Such a waste of time as this bails out after payment screen

    • This ^

Wasted half an hour of my time I'll never get back.

  • +34

Don't get me wrong, I love a bargain as much as the next ozb addict, but to my knowledge this company is super charitable and generosity-focused. I have bought their products in the past, and they are good stuff, and have a heartfelt (and legitimately impactful) global kindness message.

Is there a point where we maybe don't fleece a company for offering a "pay what you can" option by paying the absolute minimum for products we don't necessarily need, and could likely pay more for (without hurting our wallets)?

I understand there is a moderate chance I'll be flamed into oblivion for this post, but I just wanted to put it out there.

    • +4

I bought their soap & deodorant to fill their bottles with this offer where I wouldn't normally have otherwise, so in terms of a marketing stunt it does work.

    • +10

Is there a point where we maybe don't fleece a company for offering a "pay what you can" option by paying the absolute minimum for products we don't necessarily need, and could likely pay more for (without hurting our wallets)?

I agree with this. Even beyond your post, I think it's fine to pay $1 for the bottle, but at least only go for it if you actually intend to use it, not just to throw it into a cabinet somewhere never to be seen again.

Also the complaints here are just petulant in some cases, particularly around wasted time - nobody is forced to go for a bargain. If you're busy and don't have time, then no need to click. The "frothing at the mouth" that goes on in this place every time there's an opportunity to get something for free (regardless of whether it'll be used or not) and then just complaining like entitled children when they don't get said free thing is just childish.

    • +1

A donation has been made in your name to the Human Fund.

    • Absolutely agree.
I just wanted to get one pump bottle and one spray bottle but missed out last time and still unable to get them this time.
I don't know why they can't put a limit of 2 per person, a limit of 10 is ridiculous.
Shame on those who paid $1 each and got 10 bottles.

      • -1

Hey,. why shame ozbargainers with large families who can't afford to spend $6 a bottle for these items like yourself.
They paid what they could afford which is what the promotion is all about I think.

        • +1

The promotion is a loss leader to get their logo permanently placed in your bathroom & kitchen so that next time you shop, you're more likely to buy their brand rather than another.

  • +2

Hi please be patient I just locked in an order so try again..

  • Ordered frosted glass pump @$2 each

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought spray and pump bottle for a $1 each. Checkout is easy if you use express checkout and pay using Apple Pay.

  • I tried 7 hours ago with no luck with different browsers and again 20m ago, all times saying out of stock… - using PayPal express. And different prices with max 5 items, not 1$ either. Fuk it!

  • +1

Put through an order just now, no issues

  • +1

I was able to get frosted glass pumps

  • +1

Ordered from the last deal but won’t place any order this time round. Will shop for their thankyou soaps once my Sukin ones run out

My 2 cents. It took me many attempts on the previous deal to go through. Many times I selected an item and then when I tried to put a different product to cart, the previous item disappeared. Be patient and after all they do give back to the community. I have seen a lot of entitled OzBargainers in the comments which saddens me to see how the future of OzBargain might turn into

    • The cart is fine but when I go through PayPal express and continue with order it states items are out of stock. After several times I give up lol
