MODEL: 32GS95UE-B.AAU
Slightly cheaper than from PC CASE GEAR $2199+ Delivery.
Correct. If money's any consideration then I dunno why someone wouldn't wait a month for the alienware to drop to 1500 odd with 20% off.
It's not exactly the same, these 240hz / 480hz models are using WOLED panels by LG, whereas the other 240hz-only 32" 4K monitors are using Samsung QD-OLED panels. For most people tho I reckon the Dell offers the best value by far if you don't mind a curved panel.
Yup, I don't want a curved monitor, but the pricing of the Alienware has ruined all the other OLED offerings this generation for me.
@TheContact: 100% this. Might be a while before the MSI, Gigabyte and ASUS even are in reasonable stock levels in AU - let alone deeper discounts!
Samsung G8 might be a sleeper that comes in under radar. But not a glossy screen….
Dell's model also supports DolbyVision, has a wider gamut and better priced to boot
this one has the whole switcharoo to 480hz gimmick, very niche though
I couldn’t care less about 480hz, but I’d like to try the woled as have a first gen Samsung oled and not super impressed by it.
I actually had this one on order from lg direct and with codes got it to under 2k - cancelled as I thought dropping that amount with lgs questionable oled warranty policy was not very savvy.
I’ve current got an order open with jb for the dell but on the fence if I’ll cancel as I think the lg seems to be one of the better 32 oleds..
And the sensible thing is to just wait for the 39 5k panels due here next year.
God I’m indecisive.
Anyway, this one will come down for sure, I’d personally wait
QD-OLED is brighter and has a much brighter gamut if you need photo-editing. WOLED panels only really cover DCI-P3 with no meaningful extension to AdobeRGB, especially in greens.
I think there’s plenty of wiggle room for this one to come down in price in future, especially considering the prices of other 32” 240Hz 4K monitors. Here’s hoping for a price closer to $1600.
