Some more info would help: Do you have to boost an offer? Did you get an email about it first?

    • +1

I got an email but there was no link to boost, it just told me to switch to get the 2000.

  • +7

Got the email and will switch back as soon as I've got my 2000 points

  • +1

So you can switch back after the promotion period yeah?

    • +1

I'd wait until the points are deposited

      • T&Cs say points will be deposited by June 13, so switch to bank points on June 5 (last day to do it) and switch back on June 13 (after points awarded) is what I'm planning.

  • Got a notification on my alt
    "Fancy twice the reward? 😲
Simply shop at Woolworths until 5 June - all 'cause you're banking for Christmas"

    But..
    a) There's nothing in my app
    b) I'm not banking for Christmas
    c) What is the reward being doubled?

    Um thanks Woolies? XD

  • Is the pts added immediately? How long it will take to add .it didn’t show up in my account after making changes to bank for Christmas

    • +1

It says points will be credited by 23:59 on 13th of June in the OP.

I doubt they will add them before the promo ends (5th of June) or they have to reverse a heap of transactions. People who tried pulling a swiftie would then complain when the 2000 points disappear from their account in a few weeks.

      • So do you think switching on the 4th then switching back on the 6th might satisfy?

        • +1

It might, it might not. Previous experience shows that waiting until the last few days isn't a bright idea though.

      • Hmm it happened to me in the past, points are not credited for some other offer

      • +1

For similar switch to xmas offers, they used to give you the pts in just a few days after you switched. That is the sooner you switch, the earlier you get the pts.

  • How about if you already are on bank for christmas previously. Can i opt to qantas then transfer back to bank for christmas to?

  • +1

Actually I got 1000 in April and they have upped it to 2000 now..

  • +1

Damn I'm already on bank for Christmas to save the points for next year Qantas Points Club.

I got it on 9 accounts. 90 Bucks. Seems like a win.

    • Did each account get an email about it?

    • wow…. that's great. how many accounts do you have?

Had 12, 3 stopped getting offers so I ditched them. Use the dot trick so I get extra email addresses and then have them all go to one folder with the Flybuys offers too. Flick through about 30 emails each tuesday and pick the best offer or two and then delete the rest. I never boost anything less than 10% (2000 on 100 spend). Normally end up with something closer to 20%. eg. This week, one of the flybuys got 4 by $50 for 10000 and a rewards one got 5400 for a single 80 spend which will cover us this week.
I then always pay with discounted gift cards which gets me at least 4% more or greater. eg. our motoring club gets 4% off supermarket gift cards and at woolies I am using the coles mastercards that were on sale 2 weeks ago for 5% off.
If nothing else is happening I use one of my woolies insurance 10% off shops.

Sometimes people say that must be a bit of a bother. I save about $100 a month on shopping and it takes me way less time to save this money than it would to earn it at my job. I'd estimate less than 10mins effort per week to save $20. YMMV.

    • Why does this get a neg? Jealousy? What?

  • +2

If you switch back to money off shop after the points are awarded can you spend them immediately?

    • +1

      Yes.

  • +2

    Points are in already

    • Yep did the switch a couple of nights ago and got my 2000 today

  • +3

Some accounts get all the luck

  • Damn should have activated this

  • Fantastic! Points credited
