Netflix Basic Plan INR₹199 (~A$3.68), Premium INR₹649 (~A$11.50) @ Netflix India (VPN to India Required)

1904

My Turkey subscription broke when my CC expired previously so I have been holding off on buying till now.

I managed to get it to work with Nord via India.

The process is:

  • Wait for your plan to cancel (I don't know if it will work on existing plans)
  • Stay OFF the VPN
  • Sign in to netflix.com
  • Connect to the VPN
  • Go to the renewal page
  • Subscribe to India prices.
Pricing
  • Mobile Plan ₹149 (~A$ 2.75)
  • Basic Plan ₹199 (~A$ 3.68)
  • Standard Plan ₹499 (~A$ 9.22)
  • Premium Plan ₹649 (~A$ 11.50)

I've had my plan back on for about two weeks now and it seems to be working.

I'm sure I'll need to update this post with other info as you all comment and tell me everything I didn't know or factor into this.

Not risky - it's all cached through RD. No need for VPN

  • Won't accept ANZ Card "There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use."

Mine came back today with a billing error. Not sure why mid-month. Put in CC details again and all seems well.

    Weird.

My ~$8 premium Kenya sub is hanging in there - it asked to renew this month but I just used a VPN - connected - resubscribed - it asked for a phone number, I just logged in again & it didn't ask for a phone number the second time.

    • Mine just died :(

  • Does this still work?

    • I bet it will stop soon. I have begged my dad to provide me his UPI & I have to pay him every month . $3.88

  • Turkey is still my go too with Gift Card. Just renewed till Dec. Seems to be going fine no issues. Even forgot one month to top up and it still worked after. I think that is the best go to.

  • Signed up for Premium. Working fine for now.
Payment failed with Wise (Tried twice) but worked with Latitude.

  • What’s the cheapest country to get a 4K premium Netflix sub these days?

I’ve seen some people use Turkey and others use Nigeria or Kenya.

  • Netflix Türkiye is asking for CC details, 28 degrees card doesn't work.

Any security issues with Stremio + Real Debrid?
How safe is it to provide them with your CC details?

India Netflix payment fail every month with the same credit card details. Need to pay manually since last couple months

    • Best way is ask someone in India. If you have a family member just ask them to login and pay for your Netflix on auto renewal every month. Pay them 6 months through wise & you will save a fortune.

  • OP, I'm on netflix. It's set to Turkey.

Wait for your plan to cancel - Payment has failed, so it keeps asking for payment
Stay OFF the VPN - Yes
Sign in to netflix.com - Yes
Connect to the VPN - Yes
Go to the renewal page - What is the exact URL for this? Else, it takes me to the update payment method page
Subscribe to India prices - does this mean just pay with an intl ccard?

When I try, it wants to send a code to a Turkish number:
"Let's confirm your account: For your security, we’ll send you a text message with a one-off code. "

I can't change the intl' code on that number.
What am I doing wrong? Am I stuck with Turkey forever?

    • You should download ping me and get a one-off turkey phone no. which will work

      • I tried it for Turkey but both options, One-Time-Use Only and One-Month-Use, Renewal are unavailable.

Anyone figure out yet how to stop the payment failing every month?

    • Interested in this as well.

    • Sorry mate. Netflix can track geo location after a few days of use, however if you have a friend or anyone living in India & happy to pay for you monthly is a way. I hv paid my sister for full year in advance & money keeps deducting from her a/C monthly as Netflix does not have yearly plans.

  • I can verify that this technique worked with the Premium Plan.
I was an existing customer with an expired membership and I used Nord VPN - India Mumbai.

Does Netflix still terminate your sub if you sign up to an Indian or Turkish sub but use it from Australia?

  • Thanks, this just worked for me too. Had an expired membership.

  • Do we need to have a Indian master card ?
I tried to make a payment from Australian card but got declined?

  • Any free vpn that allows you to vpn in India? Most ‘free’ ones online i could find wanted subscription to activate vpn in India.

  • Seems you need CC from India

  • Why is my westpac debit card not working when trying to pay for the subscription?

    • My sub randomly dropped out despite updating my payment detail in late Dec.
Looks as though they're cancelling accounts or some such.
I'll consider Stremio or other options, especially as YT's workaround for Premium is similarly too convoluted these days.

Seems there is another crackdown. My auto payment kept declining every month but if I update manually it would go through. Now this does not even work. It seems they are not accepting Australian credit cards.

        • I can't renew my Argentinian (Argentine?) subscription as of this morning. I caved and renewed YouTube Premium in Australia, but Netflix just isn't worth it. Off to the high seas for us.

  • Anyone else having issues getting this working?

I've been using this a few months but today it's rejecting my aus credit card

    • Same here.

    • Same here, just the Nab card was working now that is blocked

    • same here

    • Yep same

    • Same :(

  • Yep revolute card no longer works. Also not accepting the disposable card which previously worked.

  • same issue, tried various cards and none work any more. bloody netflix…any other cheap countries that still work?

  • Revolut card stopped working.. seems like another crackdown. What method would work now? G2A Turkey GC? Ahh.

    • Is the Turkey gift card trick still require 30 days VPN to turkey before u can use it in aus?

      • Yes

    • G2A Turkey GC I move to Turkey
