      Plenty of reviews on YouTube also, seems to be a professional machine with in chamber and external vacuuming as well. Aldi is only external.

      Yes and no

      Chamber sealers create a pressurised environment and can remove more or less air from the bags as set. They use smooth bags and can preserve foods better than the domestic countertop sealers. You can also use these to create quick infusions and pickles, because of the pressure.

      The countertop ones don’t create any pressure, they just vacuum the air out of a channeled bag, which never removes all of the air, which doesn’t preserve as well. When cooking sous vide, it leaves enough space for gasses to expand and create a potentially unsafe cooking environment on longer cooks.

    • My local butcher uses this. I have seen him use it for years. Must be a good one

      The plastic top cover has a few cracks and a lot of sticky tape to seal it back. Probably from the high pressure, or he might have broken it himself. 😅

    • It's 120V, won't you need a transformer robots in disguise for it?

      • If you scroll down the page you'll find two more copies of the specs that both say it's 220V.

  • Hi! I'm very instead to get this one. My old ALDI sealer is so pathetically weak that I keep getting bubbles in the bag for SV.

    The marinating function sounds interesting! In the video there's two-second glimpse of a bowl being put inside the chamber for marinating.

    What if I want to marinade more food than that? What are my options?
    Would the external vacuum hose from Wevac work with this FoodSaver brand container?

    I can't decide if I should transition into this style of machine over my usual vacuum sealer. I buy meat in bulk and freeze in 250g-500g bags and have my workflow down to be able to do it quickly. I never freeze liquids, just meat and occasional veg etc. Has anyone switched over to this style? My initial thoughts on watching videos is that it's much slower than the usual style?

    • If your current system is fine, stay with it, zero need to change to this.
