For Left-hand drive vehicles only

Looking for Bosch Aerotwin wipers for my Mazda cx5. Checked the price from the Supercheap deal and A1 Autoparts Niddrie deal, still cant find cheaper price than what's currently on Amazon for a set. Hopefully this helps someone.

please double check if these EU wipers will fit right-drive vehicle. see bottom of pic 3 on amazon lising.

Just curious since I need a pair, why would that matter if it's LHD or RHD?

      • +1

The curve I guess. Since the long arm is on whichever side the driver is at.

        • +2

But if the long and short arms are just mirrored I can't see how that would change anything. I mean everything would be symmetrical wouldn't it?

          • @Notatightass: If the mounting bracket is not reversible, then the wipers will be upside down.

            • @Richardc: and the water will wipe up but not down… XD

            • @Richardc: You just put the right length wiper blade on the right side, regardless of what side it's on the mounting will be the same.

              • @Willy Beamish: … but the blades may be asymmetrical. I have Bosch (asymmetrical), Wipertech and Michelin (both symmetrical).

      • +6

        Product spec on Amazon says

        For left-hand drive vehicles ONLY

        • I guess it would still fit, just need to install these in reverse.

Larger blade on the RH side instead of L

      • +2

I think it's because these Bosch wipers have an asymmetrical spoiler

        • I guess that would make sense

      • Because the drivers side wiper is larger than the passenger.

    • +1

Thank you, will put this in the Post description

Not on sale for my car, doh

    • +4

      Beware of orientation.

    • +2

Hope your left hand drive vehicle enjoys them…

    International delivery $44

      • Cool!

  • I don't buy Bosch any more , the quantity has gone way down 👎, I got streaks like 3 months in so I replaced them, same thing happened.

    • +15

      You meant Quality

      • +1

        Quantity has gone way up

      • You gotta buy more to last more than 3 months.

    • +6

Yet still better than Youtuber brand Wipertech.

      • 💯 wipertech 💩

    • Have you found something better? Mine get eaten from the fallout in the work carpark.

In Soviet Russia there was a massive rubber shortage, so people used to take their wipers off when they parked to prevent people stealing them. They'd leave the bare rubber-less metal wiper arms sticking out when they parked and went about their business.

    • Never happened. Ukraine propaganda.

      • This absolutely happened, it just had nothing to do with a rubber shortage.

        • -1

Ok, and there are no Nazi's in Ukraine either 🙄

    • +1

You're Austrian, how would you know?

    • +3

They also hides their tyres every night.

    • And yet left thier tyres on, which have way more rubber on them, yeah nah this is just a wild never happened thing

      • Did it iritate then lil fella if they left their rubber on?

      • +2

If it is a myth I think it's fairly widely accepted as the truth.

    • Isn't it just to prevent the wipers sticking to the windshield in extreme cold?

      • Could be. Maybe it's capitalist propaganda about wipers being stolen.

  • +1

They leave the wipers up in Europe in winter so the ice/snow doesn’t freeze them onto the windscreen

  • +2

    Rate these 100%

Have them on 5 of my cars. Replaced shit OEM and they glide across the screen.

    • +2

Only 5 of your cars? What are you running on the rest of them? :-P

      • +5

Here I am struggling with insurance and rego for 1 car…maybe I'm just living a different life

        • +3

          You're talking to Tom Cruise

        • Exaaaaactly, im looking at $2,000 a year for rego and insurance (3rd party) VIC near cbd. whats worse is the car is only worth $3,000.

          • @Headless: Only get third party then.

          • +1

@Headless: Similar boat - my renewal for full comp insurance was $1300 on a 3k car. Haven’t claimed on car insurance ever, been driving for 8 years. Thought to myself, better off only having third party then. Third party was only $300 cheaper. So you’re not really paying for insurance for your car… you’re paying for other people’s more expensive cars

  • +1

Cheers OP. Model I needed wasn't available via Germany, however they were being sold directly from Amazon AU for less than either the SCA or A1 Autoparts Niddrie sales, so that's a win in my books.

  • +2

Should include it in the OP 24"/16" = 600mm/450mm. Or better yet, in the title.

  • does Temu have wipers?

  • While I haven't used the Bosch I am currently using these on my Cerato
    https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_ssn=og_acatana&store_nam…

They are working very well but it has only been about 6 months.

  • I paid $62.92 from sparesbox for the 650mm and 400mm aerotwins less a $10 first order discount after subscribing to their newsletter during their weekend sale.

  • -4

Don't be in too much of a hurry to replace your wipers. Clean them with WD40. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PS0Za8mRHU

    • +6

WD40 destroys rubber - this is terrible advice

      • -2

Wiper blades are synthetic, not rubber.

        • +1

Bosch’s website states that they are made from natural rubber

      • It doesn't destroy it but I wouldn't recommend doing this.

I know from experience never again 🤦

    • Wurth rubber care is what you should be using. Not WD40.

    • WD40 is a solvent!!

These don't last any longer than any other wiper blade.. I've found Michelin wiper blades to be the best to date.. $15 from Costco.
I'll be fair in saying wiper blades are meant to be changed over every 25,000km. This range for us is 1.5 years and we have yet to find a wiper blade that lasts this long.

Lucky I didn't pay $90 from super extortionate cheap

    • +1

Bought Bosch aerotwin set to compare for myself. I have been buying Michelin blades for a while, as they are really cheap (especially when are on sale), but they don't last long and the performance is not holding consistently with them starting squeaking and not cleaning the windscreen properly.

      • +1

Michelin and these are the same finish and quality.. both Good but I'd save the $10 and go Michelin. Trico are also good from Autobarn usually on sale for $19 a blade.

  • +2

A lot of people are going to waste their time buying and returning these due to them being LHD….

    • Yep should be in the title. Too many upvotes means people are buying without checking/knowing.

      • +1

I've put it in the description, i'll put it in the title as well

      • Many people buying not knowing you're wasting your money regardless… Autobarn does a few brands of wiper blades which last equally as long as these and Michelin.. trico is the brand.

It's funny how people THINK they're getting something good for an extremely high price tag rather than looking for extremely good value in a lower priced item which performs the same.

Bit like buying some shorts from Big W at $15.00 vs Givenchy shorts at $1500. Quality, durability and functionality is the same.

  • i need 22, 24 doesn't fit.

its not about the length, its how you use it.

  • +2

Not sur why u tink tis a good idea 2 post left hand drive parts eer on an Australian website U bloody time waster

    Sent from my iphone

    • +1

      Martha?

    • It's the same thing, you just install them in reverse, larger wiper on the side instead of left etc.

      • Except the aerodynamic spoiler will be upside down which may make the blades shudder at speed.

        • There is no aerodynamic spoiler, aero is just the name of the model. I've had these wipers on my cars for many years now

          • -1

@Bretttick: My Bosch blades are asymmetrical. Bosch labels the AR602S as suitable for left-hand fitment only, but what would they know? Clear image here

            • @sumyungguy: Your a BANANA 🍌

here's a pic where you can see both sides. I HAVE these on my cars as mentioned. I'm not going off half a picture

              https://ibb.co/5YHmJBY

              • @Bretttick: Many models, like AR602S feature in Bosch speak: aerodynamic asymmetrical spoiler. But you're likely more right about this than the actual manufacturer. And racist taunts are unwelcome here.

  • +2

Need wipers, got excited to see a deal, only for left hand cars, thanks for sharing, wish you hadn't though

  • +1

Got some from supercheap price matching automotive superstore, was $28.95 each.

  • Anyone used braumach wipers?

  • +1

Downvote from me - what is the point of posting LHD blades on an Oz centric site?

  • Is this post real?. Who TF has left hand drive vehicle's in Australia.

  • I have submitted a request for this post to be taken down. I wasn't aware that it was only for LHD, only to be pointed out after posting the deal. My apologies
