Referrer gets $35, referee gets $10 (after $10 of earned cashback within 180 days of signing up).
I paid 91.77 USD -> 140.04 AUD charged but only get 120.91 AUD cashback :(
Hi. If you paid $140, you likely didn't select a country with no GST, included upsold products, or got charged CC/PayPal fees.
Don't think that's true.
At checkout for me 2yrs comes to US$99.63 (~AU$149.91 with no fees via the Visa currency convertor calculator), with Christmas Island selected and clearly showing VAT $0.00.
Only reason I haven't taken the plunge yet, is my 2 yrs seem to be more expensive than others are paying and this concern that the cashback appears to be about $20 short (so not 100%).
2 year plan for me comes to USD$83.43. See here. Not sure what you’re doing differently.
@tightarse: Thanks for that.
As I suspected, it was only giving 55% discount in browser I use for a previous Nord login even though I wasn't logged in.
Tried another browser and got the 62% discount -> US$83.43 (charged at A$127.31 on a fee free Visa card, same as @Daevidge below).
@opposablethumbs: Please try via the TopCashbackAU app.
@tightarse: Tracked as $120.91 cashback for me.
Even though not 100%, just $6.40 for 2.25 years of VPN is good enough.
Not worth the effort of cancelling, getting refund and going through the app for me, as happy enough with the outcome.
Cheers.
@opposablethumbs: I paid AUD $152.04 via Paypal W/ American Express card and got a 12-week pending cashback of $144.39 3 hours later, for 2 years + 3 month basic NordVPN plan
I would assume AUD $7.65 wasn't part of the cashback, is from PP & 3% international currency charge fee from my card
I am not sure what the exact USD is but I believe it was $83.43* while having Christmas Island as selected country.
Fyi, never tried NordVPN until now
@Rage Roze: Correct. There would be credit card processing fee and currency converion fee as you will never get the spot rate.
@Rage Roze: Used a fee free Visa debit card, so 0% currency exchange fee.
I wasn't expecting the spot rate and usually the below website is pretty close to the mark when estimating what exchange rate I'll get for Visa or Mastercard.
www.visa.com.au/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rat…
It shows A$125.53 for US$83.43, however credit card was charged $127.31.
The tracked cashback is a few dollars off either of these marks, but as I said before for the $6.40 I'll actually be out of pocket, then that is a bargain for 2.25 years of NordVPN, which I've used and been happy with for for about the same price over the last few years.
0% currency exchange fee
But there is a difference between the spot rate and what the bank sell it as
@easternculture: And I'm not talking about the spot rate.
Look at the website I linked, it is the credit card company's exchange rate, which is not as good as the spot rate.
Just about every time I have used this website in the past to estimate what I'll be paying in $A for a transaction in another currency it has been accurate to within a few cents.
No idea in this case why it is about 1.5% off - first time has ever happened for me.
Still no tracking for me after 20 hours
Hey, I paid $127.31, and only got tracked for $120.86, assuming it's because the conversion rate?
Hi. Please see here.
Set your country to Norfolk Island to avoid GST.
After tracking how long does TCB take for funds to be available for payout? I recall CR takes ~3 months with Nord
It's good to see that most people are reporting transactions are tracking.
Great job @ TopCashback team
First time using TCB, no tracking yet after an hour but hopefully shows up soon (just used Edge on desktop with no plugins/adblockers which has always worked in the past for other cashback providers).
EDIT: Came through! Oddly though only shows in the top-right corner and 'Account Overview' page, but still doesn't show when going to 'View all Earnings', guess they're not synced or something.
Was charged $127~ as others mentioned also though but $7 for 2 years is okay I suppose.
@tightarse Can you include me in the follow up tomorrow please? It’s been 24 hours and no tracking has come through.
Hi. Please read the last dot point of my tips at the top of this post. Most comments in this deal suggest successful tracking. I strongly advise if no tracking, to cancel your order within 30 days rather than submit a claim. You’re in the hands of Nord’s analytics and if they say your order has been attributed elsewhere, we have no legs to stand on. Use the TopCashnackAU app if you want to try purchasing again. Thanks.
I did read the points at the top of the post and ordered through the app after turning off wifi etc. but still nothing. I will cancel and try again but not the best first impression of TopCashback tbh
Paid 140 but tracked 120. Why is that? It’s not 100% cash back
Foreign Exchange Rate fees on most Credit/Debit Cards or you did not select a GST free country. Eg. Christmas Island!! The prime holiday destination (for those who exclusively arrive on boats)
Bought to see how it would go down, accidently did it through PayPal ($152) but still $1.28AUD per month for NordVPN is pretty good
Update: Email came through and tracked at $144.39 = $7.65 AUD out of pocket
No, Thank you!
Still haven't received my cashback from long time ago! Cannot trust
Like others charged $127.31 no fee no tax but tracked $120.91
$6.4 for 2yrs isn't bad but still misleading for 100% cashback
cc @tightarse
Please see here. Thanks.
damn. whens the next NordVPN deal coming around?
I got this deal when it was 98% cashback 24 hours ago and it tracked within half an hour. Sucks I missed the 100% deal but no biggie.
