    Hey guys. These tips should help answer some questions. Have a great day everyone 🙌

    • A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your TopCashbackAU account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same TopCashbackAU account as always, and you're good to go.

    • Click/tap through TopCashbackAU, don't click/tap away to other sites looking for codes, don't use any 3rd party plugins, and avoid browsers such as Brave. Best to use the TopCashbackAU mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN is not instantaneous and may take a few hours.

    • All plans (discounted or not, excluding upsold products) are eligible for the increased cashback (2-year, 1-year, monthly). Remove up-sold products such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback. So unless you really need or want the extras, best option (IMHO) is to choose one of the Basic plans and not Plus or Complete.

    • A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.

    • And finally remember you have the safety net of NordVPN's 30-day money back guarantee. Should tracking fail or if you’re not happy with the product, I strongly suggest cancelling rather than submitting a claim as you're then in the hands of NordVPN's analytics for attribution.

    TCAU have been pretty good when it comes to tracking. Although I am a bit curious/skeptical as my cashback on a $2.8k purchase was about $230 more than what I calculated against it. Will be interesting to see if it gets corrected.

    Im under the assumption that for this NordVPN offer it only applies to the "Basic" plan and not the Plus or Complete Plan.

    • I got the plus plan and paid A$212, only A$163 tracked. I guess 100% cashback only work on VPN basic plan or similar amount in plus or complete plan. The extra part won't have any cashback. Hope this info can help you.

  • Just to give you an idea of how long confirmation might take, I bought the NordVPN 100% cashback deal (on Cashrewards) back on 7 March, cashback was confirmed a few days ago on 16 May.

    The amount confirmed was a little different to the amount tracked (a couple of dollars) due to AUD/USD movements.

    • I took the same offer from Cashrewards. Got tracked in 2 hours. Paid $127.10 and got tracked $124.04. Nord is far much better than my Surfshark.

        They were hacked in 2019 and all accounts were exposed online, and since then you still can find new accounts leaked on telegram, even though they claim they were never hacked.

        Also, on many forums you can see they they were exposed of data logs, do not listen to advertising websites everywhere. So reading experienced users and experts direct.

        Anyway, it was an advice and everyone to his own choice.

          I can primarily find conjecture and opinion but not too much with proven fact on many forums - do you have any links to some known and proveable facts on the circumstances? I'd definitely like to read a more technical analysis.

          From this June 2021 techradar article it appears that a single server was 'breached', not that all accounts were exposed', and it makes some interesting and relevant points. Well worth reading all the way to the end.

  • Just signed up to TopCashback AU, purchased Nord however, within the sign-up, it asked to DL iOS app and didn't let me proceed without doing this (on my Mob), which I did and that was where it ended and reverted to front page of topcashback.

    Can confirm NordVPN is working and all but was expecting a receipt or reference at the end, anyone know if this will track?

        TCB app shows 120.86 pending. So I got 95% Cashback.
        If others are also getting ~$8 less, it might be 95% instead of 100%?

    Hey guys. Can you please check your accounts and tell me if the status of your February NordVPN transactions now shows payable rather than confirmed? For reference, please note there are three different statuses that each transaction goes through once tracked… pending, confirmed, payable (this is new to me too, and confirmed via a chat with the UK this afternoon).     I just went to join the Topcashback, using the random referral code. I then filled in all details including a bank account.
    Then I go NordVPN, but I cannot see any button for TCB.
    In Cashback and Shopback, there are buttons at the top right corner of Chrome, that allow me to activate to cashback deal. I cannot see any button for TCB. Have I missed any steps?

    • Hi again. Managed to check the affiliate network and can confirm that we're giving 100% cashback on exactly what NordVPN is reporting to us. Here's the evidence for transparency. So the difference could be a matter of NordVPN reporting to us (via the affiliate) an after-tax amount of some sort, or perhaps allowing for an international conversion rate, or a card/PayPal fee (although you stated using a fee-free card). Sorry I can't offer more than this without actually speaking with NordVPN themselves.

    • I think thats the consensus from alot of comments on ozbargain and TCB are aware of this, and I've mentioned it in alot of comments. But @TopCashback AU Rep and @tightarse are committed to improving the CB experience so let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

      I myself have an inquiry on a $200 CB via compare the market that hasn't changed for over 2 months.

  • Be aware that Nord no longer works in China and hasn't for months now. Techies seem not to have a solution, where other VPN providers do.
    Unfortunately I didn't check when taking up an earlier deal, so I've paid for 3 years of pretty much pointless VPN.
    Just a heads-up for those to whom a functioning VPN is important.
    Try Express or Unlimited instead.
