    • Duration. I can blow up a balloon at 300 LPM… except it's only for about 0.05 seconds

      • +1

It doesn't have a tank but I think it can keep working as long as it is not too hot. I'm not too sure and not sure if it can be used with other air tools.

        • These are primarily for pumping up tyres, not running air tools.

          • @Khunaus: I think so because it can get hot quickly as it runs at 100A.

    • Ask this in the forums. Comments should be related to the deal.

In my rush, I forgot my main question. Does SCA sell VW parts like this cos I couldn't find any. 😅

  • Ugh just spend $200 this morning at SCA

These ones don’t count for store credit back do they ?

    • take it all back for a refund then buy during sale? or hit up online chat

    • +7

You'll get the difference back as a club credit providing it was recorded/scanned.

      • +1

Yep, this. Says so on the email too.

    • +3

If you're a member you should get the difference credited.

    • +1

Better to just repurchase… cash is better than clubcredit

      • Depends how often you shop at Supercheap.

  • Need a new tyre inflator gun for my air compressor.
Does anyone own the Blackridge ones they sell that can provide some feedback on it?
Wanting an accurate pressure gauge on it.

    • +2

I've have one that I got 5ish? years ago. within 1psi of my kept in a case dial gauge (maybe they are both wrong?)
      .

      • Damn, that's helpful

    • I’d be interested to know too.
I don’t need an inflator that reads all the way to the moon. Just something that tops out at 100psi at most.

    Shame about excluding Kinchrome.

  • +4

I've spent over $500 at supercheap in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully I can get some some sweet credit so I can buy some more stuff I'll probably never need.

    • +1

can always buy the same stuff now with the discount, and return the new stuff with old receipt.

      • +1

Pretty good idea but I don't mind accumulating some more stuff. He who dies with the most, wins. As they say.

      • SCA automatically give you credit if you buy something and it goes on sale 2 weeks later.

    • You need therapy. Can I suggest some handpicked remedies from repco, then other prescriptions like auto superstore, south eastern cleance, temu etc

    • +3

Tbh they regularly have 20-25% off everything all the time these days.

  • +2

Website says "Buy Now and we'll credit you the difference". Looks like any purchases from the last 2 weeks will get credit
    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/best-price-credit.html

    • Yes, if you're a member.

    • +2

Yes but they still have the money. It's just a credit off future purchases not a refund.

      • +3

And it expires within a month I think

  • Are special orders included?

I need to order a starter motor for my car.

    • Nevermind, just priced matched it with them. $355 down to $240

  • Looks like it's already live in the website.

But the things I'm looking at are more expensive than recent catalogue sales, so will just wait a bit longer.

  • is this items also matched on amazon ?

  • +3

    better off repco

  • +1

    Any bargains?

  • Was looking at the karche k4 compact but it does not look like the % is worth while.

  • +1

Yeap all the items I need are cheaper at Repco
Only a few dollars difference but they add up

  • T&C's says Clearance not eligible but I've just paid for a Ridge Ryder solar blanket 200W.
It was previously on clearance from $499 down to $300 yesterday, but since 5pm is now $180.

Maybe other clearance items are getting discounted?

    • yes all, just search "clearance"

    • FYI - The included MPPT doesn't support lithium batteries.

      • Does this mean I can't use it with this: https://www.bcf.com.au/p/companion-rover-40ah-lithium-power-…

        • You could still use the solar panel with another lithium supported MPPT, just not the included one. Looks like the battery in your link has an inbuilt MPPT, you'd need to check the battery pack manual to verify which panels are supported.

          • @MeagerDollarBucks: Thanks for your help! The manual states this:

Charging by Solar Panel (not included)
The power station has a built in MPPT controller so you do not need to use a solar ccontroller. The solar panel MUST be
connected directly to the power station with unregulated solar.
Step 1. Turn on the power station by holding the power button for three seconds.
Step 2. Insert the adaptor plug into the input socket on the side of the power station and other lead to your solar panel
            Anderson connector.
Step 3. The power station will automatically begin to charge. The battery status will be shown on the LCD display and
will also show the minutes remaining until fully charged.
Step 4. The power station will automatically turn off when it is fully charged.
Note: The charging input is 5 Amp max, so a 120W panel would charge the battery in approx. 8-10 hours.

  • Anyone received credit yet for earlier purchases?

  • +2

The battery I was after was still $20 cheaper at Repco - little point price matching with SCA as they will only beat it by like a dollar at best and the process is not that quick with the time you spend waiting for live chat to come around.

  • +1

I think 20-40% is the normal price now.

  • +7

Cheaper at automotive superstore, even with postage. Bought some sakura filters there with 10% first time user with newsletter sub

    • Thanks, supercheap looking more like super expensive these days.

  • Thanks OP! Got the Bissell AutoMate and paid 190 delivered using Macquarie GC.

  • 7% off with HCF Rewards giftcards makes it ok.

    • Or 10% with Budget Direct Rewards

      • I made the mistake of buying a GC this afternoon from AGL rewards. Still hasn't come through…
Budget Direct has always come through very quickly but don't have access anymore

        • Yeah that happened to me once before as well, Budget Direct has always been instant.

  • Any storage containers worth considering?

  • Thanks, OP. I bought…

    Kärcher K2 Pressure Washer - 1750 PSI
    Item No. 587086
    $151.99

Ridge Ryder 200W Solar Blanket with MPPT Regulator
    Item No. 580574
    $180.00

I bought 3 x $100 gift cards at 10% off from Budget Direct Rewards using this card which will put me over the monthly threshold to get $100 cashback: https://www.nab.com.au/personal/credit-cards/nab-low-rate-ca…

    so I effectively paid $205.37

People aren't wrong about SCA prices being a joke. Just went and bought a full set of Bosch Aerotwin wipers for both of my vehicles:

    SCA "Sale" Checkout Price: $169.50
Automotivesuperstore.com.au: $135.80 ($122.22 after 10% first purchase discount code applied)

28% cheaper and also includes a free gift (50ml Bosch Windscreen Wiper Washer Fluid).

    • +1

Yup. Bought at the same store after checking prices.

  • I noticed they cut the discounts on various suspension items about 30 mins or so before the sale actually finished. Sneaky.

That cost them the 1k that was in my cart. When it went up to 1.6k I pulled out.

F that. Wasted a few hours of my evening.
