Who do they use as the road service provider? Some of the el cheapo ones keep you waiting hours and may have no presence in rural areas

    • +1

      This, anyone have previous experience?

Edit: Provider: Digicall Assist Pty Ltd

Key features of Everyday Roadside Assist include:

      Flat Batteries

      Emergency Fuel

      Flat Tyres

      Lost or Locked Keys

      Towing

      • +1

Digicall Assist Pty Ltd appear to get good reviews overall.

        • -8

          Digicall is so dodgy.
The vans that come out are just white and unbranded

          • +25

@Wiadro: As long as they come out, does that matter?

They probably do call outs for 20 different roadside companies.

            • +1

@Binchicken22: I wouldnt want the wife to have someone pull up in a white van and have to hope they arr the company

              • +5

@Tleyx: If they’re stuck on the side of the road you have bigger concerns tbh.

              • +4

@Tleyx: Yeah the old white van wife snatchers are running rampant in this country, it's a valid concern I guess.

          • +2

@Wiadro: I definitely would feel more comfortable with a branded vehicle showing up. It's worth something to me.

      • Nope but it’s only 20km free towing to your mechanic which isn’t that far.

        Automotive Assistance
We will arrange, where it is possible and safe to do so, most common Breakdown related
problems to be rectified including inflation of a flat tyre, replacement of a flat tyre with the car’s serviceable spare and jump-starting of a flat battery. Where appropriate, this may also include providing practical tips or advice, on a reasonable endeavours basis, in relation to simple car operation, any safety warnings or lights that may appear or practical information regarding the
        car.

        Minor Automotive Repairs
We will arrange for minor breakdown related repairs to be carried out where it is possible and safe to do so at the location of the car. However, if major parts or factory diagnostic equipment are required, the car will be transported to the nearest Authorised Repairer. The cost of repairs, including labour and any required parts, will be your responsibility.

        Flat batteries
If your battery is flat we arrange for a jump start or coordinate a replacement battery if required. We do not cover the cost of the replacement battery but we can arrange the supply as part of our service.

        Emergency fuel
If you run out of fuel we will arrange for the delivery of enough fuel to allow you to reach the nearest petrol station. If you drive an LPG fuelled car, we will arrange for the towing of your car to the nearest petrol station. The delivery is free, and the maximum value of fuel provided is $10.

        Flat tyres
If you have a flat tyre, we will arrange for it to be changed with the car’s serviceable spare wheel or transport the car to an approved tyre outlet. Should additional services be required for any reason, these services would be at the driver’s cost.

        Lost or locked keys
Where the key has been lost or stolen, or has been locked inside the car, we will arrange for the spare key to be delivered or arrange to gain access to your car. The most we will pay for this service is $250, and this may need to be reimbursed at a later date.

In the event you insist the car be broken into to recover keys locked inside the car, we will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to the car as a result. Due to contractor limitations, this service may not be available in all cases.

        Towing
If the car cannot be mobilised on the roadside, we will tow the vehicle free of charge to your preferred repairer up to 20km from the breakdown location or to the nearest accredited repairer up to 100km from the breakdown location.

Please note that all additional towing costs and any repair costs (not described in benefits and conditions above) are your responsibility, and are payable at the time of the service.

Do you also get 10% off an in store shop at Woolworths every month?

    • Wondering the same. Bargain if so

    • +1

      Not with this.

    • No, it's not insurance.

  • Better to get Allianz imo. Cost bit more $99) but u get 50km towing. 20km is nothing. If u happen to drive out little Ull get slugged the extra kms should u have to tow the car back to ur area

    • +8

      Towing
If the car cannot be mobilised on the roadside, we will tow the vehicle free of charge to your
preferred repairer up to 20km from the breakdown location OR to the nearest accredited repairer
up to 100km from the breakdown location.

      • So it’s ok then

  • Wait, they want registration details of the car … are they just covering that car or any car you drive?

    • +1

The car and any drivers of that car as far as I can tell

      • +3

Roadside service is always for the car.

        • +3

Although interestingly RAA (the South Australian Auto club) covers the person for whatever car they are driving. You don't need to live in SA to sign up. The auto clubs cover you nationwide (although the benefits tend to drop a bit of you are out of state). If you have RAA cover and breakdown in Brisbane, you call RAA and they will get RACQ to turn up.

          • @tihir: I just looked at https://www.raa.com.au/motor/road-service
.. and their towing distances.. regular plan ($10.25/month) .. 10km metro towing distance.

And country /attendance/ (not towing).. 40km from wherever their authorised depot happens to be.

I'm not convinced (or in SA)

            • +1

@captain womble: If you do lots of driving in super regional areas you'd be mad not to get the top package with your favourite state based auto club

  • -2

Tried this but isn't working. Seems one needs to have Woolworths insurance to avail this offer. Not as a stand alone offer

    • +11

Gotta give credit to the scammers though. Hacked the real website and all just to make it look legit! That's commitment!

      • 😂

      • -1

        Going after super now !
Amazing you can't access it but scammers can .
        What's the government doing 🤔

    • +13

Why TF would the Woolies service counter know anything about their roadside assistance program as if they sell them in store?

      Maybe use some common sense…

      • True , but you'd think a quick check on their own website would get them up to speed .

      • The poster at the store entrance for a start

  • +1

Just joined. 50% off appeared after I logged in to everyday rewards. I don't have insurance Thanks

    • Can you please advise steps how to get if no Woolworths insurance and avail 50 percent discount?

  • Is there an option to cover the driver, not a specific car?

    • RAA

      • Then it won't cover if someone else drive your car.

        • That's right. You personally need to be a member to get RAA to do roadside assistance.

Basically everyone else doesn't care who is driving it, they turn up if the specific car is covered.

  • Any review on this?

    • Used them twice, very good.

  • +1

Sign up to arevo app. You will eventually be sent an offer for $10 for first year.

  • +1

Everything was good until I saw this at the end:

We will send out a renewal notice 1 month before your membership end date. For your continued peace of mind, we will renew your Everyday Roadside Assist membership automatically, unless you call us.

    Nope.

    • +4

Nothing wrong with that, just put a reminder if don’t want to continue with this before your 1 year is done right?

  • I once moved to this mob from NRMA a couple years ago - I guess mainly due to price. I had to call them once and the experience was terrible. I had a flat battery and just needed a jump start. The ETA was 3 hours in Sydney metro area. I managed to call a friend and get help and they came back to me hours after I returned home, I had even forgotten I had asked them for help. That was it for me and I immediately switched back to NRMA - I know it’s dearer, but worth the money IMHO.
At that time they didn’t have an app or anything and phone was the only method to contact which was painful as well - unsure if things may have improved since.

    • How much is nrma roadside assistance generally?

      • +1

About $100 on the lowest plan.

  • Have an offer with RACV for 50% off Roadside, is it worth going with RACV for $67, or this for $49?

    • I wonder the same !

    • RACV for sure

  • Does anyone know whether the start date can be future dated like in Jun25?

  • can you start the service in 2 months when my existing one expires?

  • If you allow your roadside to lapse, RACV generally call after 2 months offering 50% off all plans of which then you take it out on your others half’s car so you are both covered for the price of one. I have done this the past 3 years. $127.30 covers us both as it covers her car and any car I am “driving”

  • I just signed up to RAC roadside last week and it seems we can’t cancel the policy?

  • Thanks OP

  • Just purchased, thanks OP

  • Has anyone received any confirmation email after signing up? I was debited $49.50 but I’ve no reference number or anything 😔
