[VIC] RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance Cover for 1 Year $10 (Normally $134) for New Customers @ Arevo Fuel Finder App

880

This deal is back again. This deal is targeted (as highlighted by Ikchu).

I was targeted (received email offer) by doing the following:
Make sure you have signed up with Arevo(arevo.com.au). (FREE)
Use the app (ie. fuel price search).
Wait for the offer email and click the "Claim Offer" button, then complete the offer. The email may take a few days to arrive.
Warning from the previous deal: *Make sure not to use special characters in your address, which can cause errors (e.g. 3/4 for unit numbers)

(previous instructions suggested that completing the promo link was required to get the offer. I don't know if this is correct, as the offer is targeted based on registering and using the app).
I registered with Arevo and the promo on Monday 5/8, got email offer Wednesday 7/8. I did a few fuel searches via the Arevo app in the meantime - and I'm actually interested if this is a better fuel finder app than PetrolSpy.

*Fair use policy applies. Offer is available to registered arevo users who are the recipient of this offer only. You must use your arevo account email address to sign up for this offer. Your RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance Subscription is activated after RACV receives the full $10 payment. The discount applied is $119. Offer is only available to new roadside assistance subscribers. Offer is not valid for Extra Care or Total Care products. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The offer can be cancelled at the discretion of the provider. Standard ERA Terms and Conditions apply. For more information, visit https://www.racv.com.au/cars-transport/roadside-assistance.h…
(T&C's have not been updated, RACV roadside assist has gone up by $5/year).

Follow Up!: I didn't receive the $10 invoice from RACV. I phoned them at the 1800 number listed on the deal website and was able to pay over the phone.

  • Does this look dodgy if I use this to cover an EV?

  • +1

Just cancelled after getting renewal notice, wonder if I'll re-qualify.

    • Mine expires tomorrow. Will try after that maybe

    • +1

Good idea cancelling, I constantly get nothing out of RACV and if something goes wrong and you are not a member you can call them anyway and they will help you for a fee - seems better overall.

      • The on the spot fee is massive though.

        • any idea how much?

      • +1

I cancelled mine years ago. Never used it and was just subsidising people with poorly maintained and unreliable vehicles.

        • Same. Never used them in 10 years. Cancelled mine last month.

  • Never get a call back ever :(

    • Try again?

      • I tried like 3 times on seperate occasion didn’t work for me b

  • Sydney and NRMA?

    • nope.

      • Yes of course. Too expensive now with reduced benefits.

  • I didn't receive any call or email from them

  • This is certainly a targeted campaign, using the promo link doesn't work.

    • Noted and updated description.

  • Does anyone know whether they still
    1 Do Hoyts tickets?
    2. Whether those tickets are valid outside of VIC and
    3. What each voucher costs?

  • Didn't work for me last time..they canceled my membership

  • "Member benefit - 50% OFF
Are you 17-20 years old? If so, you’re eligible for a 50% discount on your first year of RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance. That’s only $67 for 12 months.
Australia-wide coverage with unlimited service callouts* (Fair Use Policy applies).
Drive with confidence and know that the yellow RACV van will be there to help you 24/7."

Three years ago, I had a flat battery, stranded, not a member. Called RACV for help, got a new battery installed, cost a fortune but, what are you going to do?
Three months ago, flat battery but this time, at home. Hollered for a different brand, got here in 15 minutes, first thing he said was, 'Who the hell fitted this battery?' Turns out it was WAY too small for my car, only fitted in with a plastic adapter. I had been utterly ripped off.
    Not. Happy. Jan

Never get a battery from them lol, just get them to jump start you and replace it yourself.

        ^^ THIS

Goes for any emergency roadside assistance provider.

  • How will it work?
Will we receive an email with a code?
Is there any limitation on the date of starting the policy? e.g. can we pay the $10 and start in October if I receive the promo code in August?

    • +1

You'll receive an email from hello (at) t.arevo.com.au with subject "Hey mkowarkski, get RACV Roadside Care for just $10". In that email, click the Claim button. fill in the form.
The T&C's for my offer states the offer is valid until 31/08/2024, so I would assume you need to take up the offer by that date.

  • "We know how expensive it can be to get around by car these days, so we wanted to help you save with an exclusive offer of RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance for just $29!"

    Not $10 but still reasonable..

    • me too. I just received an email of $29. I will go for it. :)

If you maintain your car you dont need this

  • +1

Dumped RACV the other year as they outsourced all tow services, three attempts to get a tow all failed and RACV were absolutely useless as they don't track the work once outsourced so couldn't even provide a response if someone was still coming (which they didn't!). This was with the top cover option. Wouldn't sign up again even if it was free, completely false sense of security.

  • Where is the promo link? When I click, it goes to the general RACV Roadside Assist website

    • Promo link updated, though worth noting that completing the generic promo link may not be necessary. No harm done from completing it, but according to earlier post by @Ikchu, targeted offer must be received.

      • Thanks
I subscribed in the app anyway. Lets see how it goes

  • I received for$29 🥲

  • Has anyone received the email offer? I'm still waiting after signing up

    • Got the offer, filled it in (took 2 business days to get the offer). Waiting for invoice to pay. Will call Wednesday if i don’t get it.

  • I signed up to the app with a mobile number but I don’t think there’s anywhere to even add an email? Can anyone help?

  • I finally got this through - I didn't receive the $10 invoice from RACV via email. I phoned them at the 1800 number listed on the deal website, they could see that I was registered and there was $10 outstanding. I was able to pay on the spot over the phone.

    • can you please paste in the 1800 number here please

  • Never received anything

  • @braddsey can you please paste in the 1800 number here please

    • 1800 675 958

(though it's a single click to find it on the deal website, and really easy to see in the 2nd paragraph highlighted blue and underlined…)

  • Final update… got an invoice in the post from RAVC today! Weird this doesn't come via email…

    • I don't understand why this was so complicated for you.

I followed the instructions within your post description.
Once I received the offer, I went through all the steps (making sure I used the exact same details as my Arevo account).
On the last page, I was able to pay the $10 using PayPal.

  • Worked fine for me. Installed app on a monday, opened it 3 times during the next 5 days, got offer via email on saturday night, signed up online with no issues on monday.
