The actual box stated "Spring Festival" and never mentioned China so one could say that it's targeted toward East Asia rather than being specifically Chinese.
Red is a "lucky" color used by other Asian countries such as Japan and Korea and is not limited to China.
"Spring Festival" is also celebrated by other Asian countries such as Japan and Korea.
China and Japan use the same word "春" for Spring.
Basically, my original reply was for the comment about this "Chinese Lego set from Japan". That the elements celebrating Spring Festival are so similar between China and Japan, this Lego set can be used for both countries (and probably Korea too).
