Imagine living in Australia and being obsessed with the US President.

      • -7

I thought most Aussies consider Australia to be the 51st state of The U.S.
Nothing wrong with calling Sleepy Joe the President.

    • Hmm, mustn’t be working

      This virus got through

  • Can it be used with existing account?

    Defender is free too

    Bitdefender is great antivirus software.
But free trails from 30 days to 90 days are offered by all the others.

HINT: Bitdefender FREE version does the job fine
No need for the paid version at all.
    See here: https://www.bitdefender.com.au/solutions/free

However I recommend Avast FREE AntiVirus.
Its rock solid with excellent test results year after year
    See here: https://www.avast.com/en-au/free-antivirus-download#pc

AVG Free AntiVirus is also an excellent option.

    Enjoy for FREE!

AVG and Avast are both the same company, and are both terrible (owned by Gen Digital, who also own Norton). Avast was fined US$16.5 mln this year after collecting and selling user's browser data without their consent for advertising purposes. Just use Windows Defender and scan with Malwarebytes Free if required.

        This.

Use nord VPN if you want a VPN.
And a separate dark web scanner if you really need it.

        • +1

Sorry, but your claim they are terrible is totally unjustified.
Purely based on what?…..selling browsing data????
          Google does this every day.
          Personal information is not comprimised.

I say again from over 15 years experience
Avast is by far the best - rock solid
Never had a problem with them.in over 15 years.
          AVG is a close 2nd
And year after year, independent anti-virus testing always ranks them in top 3!

          See here:
          https://www.av-comparatives.org/test-results/
          And here:
          https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/

These anti-virus test results are all anyone needs to know

Unfortunately, if you check the test results, Windows Defender ranks nowhere near as well, sorry

@HeWhoKnows: I was just agreeing to the last part, I should have been more specific.

I have used Avast for YEEEARS. Probably had an account with them when they first came out. Always swore by them.
For the people who just want to set and forget, Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Free will do the job. Avast does offer more, but it's UI offers so many things, plus the popups put some people off.

          • @HeWhoKnows: Google does it because they are an advertising company, we all know they do it. Avast did it, denied it, then finally admitted it. If you have common sense, Defender is good enough (and with Defender for Endpoint even better). I would almost argue that Avast acts like malware with how hard it is to uninstall and the scareware tactics they use to upsell their premium product, not including how much it slows down a system. But hey, what do I know?

            • @ldd-mn: Not, much I would say.
Ive been using Avast for some 20 years. So I speak from experience

And at least 2 independant AV tests show Avast has MINIMAL IMPACT on PC performance.

Its not what you know or dont know..

Its research and experience my friend

  • “Our goal is to keep you, your family and every citizen of Ukraine safe from digital threats with free cybersecurity protection during this time.”

    Limited to 90 days.

    Sounds about right!

  • Isn't there a long running bit defender post somewhere that tells you how to get it for 6 months for free and then renew every 6 months, also for free?

Just download the Bitdefender FREE version.
Its same as the paid version without all the extras which you dont really need.

      • Thanks mate, good to know.
I use Avast, and am happy with them, so I'll stick with it. ☺

          Same here!
Avast FREE is the best Anti-Virus out there
