Seems like a good deal?
128gb usb drive - market price approx $85
1TB 2.5" HDD - market price approx $80Not really, your quote for the 1TB is about right but 128GB USB can be had for $52 from eBay (generic brands).
We are talking about lacie!
you pay for the storage, AND THE DESIGN!
The usual price of Lacie is way higher than WD or Seagate.Yes, the 1TB is Lacie which is good stuff. But the 128GB USB is "onQue" brand which is the same as any generic brands out there. Get your facts straight.
You would do well to heed your own advice. Compared to WD and Seagate drives, $80 is reasonable for a 1TB drive, but the LaCie drive is not approx $80 on the market. A quick search shows that the cheapest you can get it for is around $130/$140 including shipping.
As for the USB, whether or not it is generic is irrelevant because WD and Seagate don't make flash drives.
Is the 128gb flash drive USB3.0?
i would like to know that too!
Judging by the pic on the site, the flash drive has the blue (typically representing USB3) tongue on the connector….??
And judging by the information from this website (http://onquedigital.com/#/usb-flash-drive/4568606136) the 128GB version of the flash drive is also likely to be USB 3.0
if it is usb 3.0, it will usually be put in the description,
since nothing there, most likely USB 2.0update:
find same combo here at http://www.savingsdirect.com.au/lacie-porsche-design-1tb-usb…
you can find more pictures
Any info on the flash drive?
"this deal is for american express card members"?
Is this USB powered or A/C?
Ohh dont u love how u have to pay on a site with an australian extension with a american issued card
mmm hey rep whats the difference between the Porsche Design P'9223 and the P'9220 one?
All i can read is that P'9223 is designed for Macs….. but dunno what that technically means…. different format, speed etcMac version has lighter colour to better match the iMacs and MacBooks.
Just ordered but noticed wont be shipped until 3 weeks after the deal ends (Dec 20).
Hoping it'll still seem like a good price mid Jan!!
Edit…. just read the terms clearly… posted out within 3 weeks after deal ends (in 6 days)… yeah thats like in mid Dec sometime… :(((((((
Yes your right - but Im sure on the order confirmation page it mentioned deal ending 20th Dec but the count down is as you say about 6 days
Anyone received theirs yet?
I emailed both the people of SavingsDirect and Spreets and SavingsDirect people who had the same deal with the bonus 128gb OnQue replied that it is USB3.0
Still waiting for Spreets to reply…. even though I already purchased one….
Say…
$50 for the deal site
$7 for packing and delivery
Leaving $100 for the 1Tb HD and the 128GB 'Flash' drive
SCAM
Got excited there for a minute - thought it was a hybrid drive!
