    • Yep, it looks like a lot of people forgot about the Samsung shop app discount.

No stock in Sydney JB stores other that display/floor items. I think this is definitely a better deal.

  • stock was tight today & probably would've been better off buying it yesterday. but rang around the various JB Hifi's here in Brissy & i may have just bought the last one in Garden City. would've planned to pick it up myself tomorrow but it's abit tight inside the soccer-mom car / SUV & will only be tighter with the backseat down. will pay for the extra $59 for delivery instead of risking it for the almost hour-long drive to Strathpine.

thanks for the deal. hoping this ex-display will be just as good as the brand new one.

I hope they had a thorough look over it for burn-in? These things are left on all day every day.

They checked it prior to re-packing it. but i'll have a closer look when it arrives next week.

        • You should be able to get the exact number of hours the TV has been on in the "Service" (or "Developer" menu whatever they call it):

Type 12345 while in the App menu on your remote.

Sometimes, people have been having trouble enabling this, eg if you have the new remote.

So, if your remote doesn't have the number pad you may need to use the Samsung TV remote app, or use one of the methods below: https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+the+code+I+have+to+t…

Remember that if you need assistance from Samsung (say over the phone) and you allow them entry into your TV's remote service menu, they'll also be able to see the total number of hours the TV has been on - not since you bought it, but since it left the factory).

I'm not sure if this would affect your warranty, especially if you knew it was floor stock?

Note: it's probably a good idea to check this when you buy a new Samsung TV, to make sure it really is new.

          • @BooYa: you can see usage hours on smarts things app on phone, just click 3 dots after selecting TV and select information, you will get all data. I had 0 when I got the TV and now at 57

  • S90D(new model) 77 is 3799 on the Samsung EDU store with $100 trade in.

Might be able to get another 10% off it.

Going to go into jb tomorrow and see if they can do me a deal, watch this space

  • Anybody know how this compares to the LG C3? Thanks!

    • It's better in everything besides motion smoothing on 24p content.

  • Just ordered the 77" from HN for $3825 along with a bonus $300 gift card.

    • How did you get the gift card?

      • +1

HN are offering bonus gift cards on interest free purchases. Spending between $3k-4k will net you a $300 bonus gift card. Having said this, I'm still waiting on the gift card :p But, the TV just arrived at my house 5 minutes ago :)

  • Had a massive stuff around at a JB Hi Fi store on Friday (10/5) trying to get the 65inch S90C from this deal. Long story short ended up scoring a new S95C 65 inch delivered with 5 years warranty for $2,345. Happy days :)

    • Thats a great price. Would you be able to share the reciept via DM?

      • +1

Unfortunately the receipt says that the price cannot be price matched as the price was given to me under special circumstances.

I definitely do recommend anyone interested in buying to push hard with the haggle, especially with runout models. Staff seem to be more receptive to lowering the price. And ask them to sprinkle in extended warranty if possible.

  • Hey guys, can someone please confirm if I can use my current wall mount to hook the 65 inch Samsung up on the wall? Currently I have 55 inch LG that I bought in 2017. The wall mount can take up to 85 inch TV’s.

If it can’t, do I have to buy the slim fit Samsung mount or go for an after market product? Thanks.

    • What's the max weight your mount supports?

      • I can’t recall exactly.
When I was getting this installed it said supports upto 85inch TV’s. I am getting someone from Airtasker next week to help me hook this up and do few other things. It’ll be interesting to see what the Airtasker handyman says.

        • +1

I've hung multiple TV's at my place, given your mount supports up to 85", It'll be no problem as this one's only 21 kg

I cannot believe myself. I just made the most expensive purchase today just because of this post on OZBargain. Got the 65inch TV for $1570.63. OZBargain and Ozbargainers are crazy!

If anyone can answer my question about the wall mount (above), that would help a lot. Freaking excited. Getting a new tv after almost 7 years.
