Model number is WF-007. (mod edit)

Looks to be Tuya compatible, but not sure how much effort it would take to integrate it with Home Assistant.

Is it though? The listing is a bit ambiguous, it says Tuya compatible in the title, but also says it is using TT Lock Bluetooth in the description, which means the lock is using the TT Lock app instead of the Tuya app.

You are right, the correct model number is F1 TT and is not advertised as Tuya compatible.

  • Can i trust my house with these?

    • I'm not sure, will your house keep this lock secure?

nek minnit: WAIFU Smart Door Lock

Don't think it has any Australian fire safety ratings (need for an apartment).

Even if it is fire rated the doors & locks are common property. Then if you managed to get approval from the strata you'll have to pass yearly fire inspections which can be a nightmare depending on the inspector.

That's in NSW anyway. Not sure about other states.

      • Yes, that is why i asked the inspector before going down this rabbit hole. I.e. documentation needs to be present when they inspect to verify it. Potentially if it comes with a scannable sticker, you can place it on the door jam. The other option is to add the lock behind the door leaving the original in place always unlocked (if yours are not one-way handles).

    • Ive gave up, I've spent hours to read through posts regarding this topic and still can’t come up with a definitive answer if it’s ok to install smart lock for apartment

    • Fire testing costs around 30-50k, if they had spent that, i'd say they would advertise it.
Being that its a latch and bolt, it wouldn't pass anyway.

Also doesn't look like it's been tested to any standard for security, not that the Aust standards are that great, but it's better than none!

      • Seems a little exaggerated according to this article. https://electroniclocksaustralia.com.au/fire-rated-electroni…

        • "Currently the price to test a lock is around the $15,000 mark."

That's one burn, on one core, they list 3 different cores, Pyropanel, E-core and Firecore, that's 15k per core you need to test (they are not universal burns) and if it fails, you need to re-do it.

And to get it at that price, you usually do a half door, and you put on other hardware at the same time to test to spread the cost over multiple products (that is 1 lock, 1 set of hinges, 1 door closer etc)

I am currently trying to get products fire tested, it's a PITA, they have passed every fire test around the world, but still need to be re-done here.

  • notice me Senpai!

  • Unsure if my Waifu is ready for a 2nd Wafu.
