short throw projectors had good value proposition a couple of years ago when the biggest TV was 85". But now that there are 98/100" TVs for almost the same price, without the light restrictions of projectors.

i got a 100 inch screen, and I ll recommend everyone to get a 98 inch TV when on sale instead now a days

    • You ignoring the portability aspect, which i would agree maybe not be a consideration for many but a big thing for others like me (and i am not a tenant, but I enjoy peace of mind with every possible flexibility i can get).
And then what about sizes beyond 100"? Also what's thw lowest cost of a good 100" TV has been?

      • Portability meaning moving one house to another and not moving the projector to a different room? If its the latter and I assume you have not experienced setting up a short throw projector, you wouldnt want to move it around the house.

    • It feels totally different watching movies on a projector screen with full sound system than on a big TV. Projector is not for everyone and needs a dedicated room. If people living in apartment building with one living area only then forget it.

      • I agree. my comment is specific to short throw projectors and not the conventional long throw ones.

  • I have the LG CineBeam HU810PW 4k Laser - its awesome!

its double laser and fairly bright. I picked one up for $3500 when it was on sale, you may be able to find cheaper one on marketplace or ebay

  • Deal for 100” UST alr screen?

Had an issue with an e-bike battery, these guys totally ghosted me even though it was well within warranty.

Probably better off going with a cheaper option elsewhere since the after sales support is poor.

    • I'd like to hear a response from the rep to this comment

  • Has anyone bought this USP? Also would like to know after sale support? Don't want to be ghosted like the ebike guy.
