        I don't think so. Toyota's engine is not as picky as those European ones.

          If this is the correct weight oil for your car then most probably it wont damage your car. But it is suggested to follow the API specs for your car/engine.

      Seems good at first, but CK-4 is much superior to all this ACEA C1 through to C5 stuff. 20L of it is regularly $140ish at Supercheap, but you can find it even cheaper, delivered, online.

      *Unless you need specifically low W numbers for your average ambient temps (somewhere that gets below -10 Celsius).

    My car recommends API SM and above or ACEA A5 and above.

    This oil is API SN and ACEA C3.

    So the SN works, but im reading that ACEA C3 is not compatible with cars requireing ACEA A5?, is ACEA C3 considered above ACEA A5 rating, or is it a total different oil altogether?

    a bit confused.

      I'm pretty sure the C rating is for diesels. A5 oil is generally expensive and rarely on sale. Check your manual - it possibly says A3 is fine but A5 is preferred.

      Here is my unprofessional understanding, diseal cars have DPF filter thus low ash engine oil required and that is what C3 oil for diseal car. For me it's a upgrade with low ash feature from A3. Petrol cars don't need low ash feature for engine oil and such doesnot affect using C3 rather A3 oil.

      Again, it's my unprofessional understanding and I drive with diseal car with this oil. If you are uncertain about such, stick with original or recommeded oil is alway safe, plus paying for a recommened price. Good luck.

      google says 502/505 is LL, you should DYOR to confirm

      Dont rely on others unless you know they are correct and for sure you should not take advice from randoms on the internet

      I use 504/507 and change before 10k klm, might be possible for you or it might not, it also depends on your service schedule. E.g wifes car suggests LL but I dont use it, but service before 10k klm so instead of oil change every 2 years, we do it yearly still

      Yes, this nulon euro oil is basically the only other oil available in Australia (other than the Castrol LL) that's compatible with modern Audi, Skoda and VW engines.

      I usually alternate between the Castrol and the Nulon when I do my service depending which is on sale at the time. I've even mixed the two before with no ill effect.

        Penrite has VW504/507 and VW502/505……. So does Shell, Mobile, fuschs, Liqui Moly, Motul…. even Gulf Western. Any brand that has VW504/507 and VW502/505 specs on it, is compatible with Modern VW engines. Refer to Manufactures Specifications for appropriate use.

        VW504/507 is far superior to VW502/505 due to low SAP (Sulphated Ash Phosphorous and Sulphur) in the oil. Prevents the carbon build up on the throttle body from the Crank Bypass Valve gasses. Overall its a better engineered oil that can withstand the harshness of the EA888 engine.

      Nothing. I've been using Penrite Euro+ in my '09 corolla for years and its fine.

      Euro just means that the oil meets certain European manufacturer's accreditation for use in their engines.

        Depending on how many kays you've done in the Jeep, you may be able to jump up to 5W-30 without any issues.

      I have been using Penrite HPR 5, a little thicker at 5-40w and I change it more regularly. I believe the only reason it doesn't meet 504/507 is the longer service interval?

        HPR 5 does meet 502/505 standards.

        502/505 is also suitable for long service internals.

        Where 504/507 differs from 502/505 is that 504/507 is low SAPS and is suitable for Diesel (DPF).

        I believe that all 504/507 are 5W30. 502/505 comes in 0, 5 & 10 W 30 & 40 combinations.

    for some reasons, I mostly used 5w-30 castrol oil for my prius 2007, it run fine, I changed every year around 8-10k km. But this year when I change to this 5w-30 Nulon oil, the car run smoother and much quiet when accelerate.

    I am not so great at research regarding car engine oil (or cars in general, if I'm being honest) and was wondering if this engine oil would suit a Mazda 3 2017 Sedan.

      It will work well. Euro oil is designed for complex euro engines which demand less impurities than standard synthetic oils, hence the higher price.

      You're fine with 5w-30 oil just about anywhere in Australia, but if you're somewhere particularly cold for most of the year, just search up the recommended oil viscosity for your region.

    I change oil every 6 months so between 6k and 7.5k and use 5w/30 full synth. Ill take the risk with this as it won't be in there too long. Kia 1.6 turbo petrol.

          Cheap insurance against what? Does your particular engine model have a history oil related early life failures? 6k servicing on a non-track use vehicle with full synthetic is only insuring you against the boogieman.

            @howcan: Fair call I guess. Kia does stipulate 6 month 7500km service intervals for my car though. I have a Kia Cerato Koup. The same engine is also in Hyundai Veloster and Hyundai i30 SR. Kia Pro'ceed GT also ran this engine.

        Dextrose 5w-30 oil recommended for Hyundai & KIA, most Japanese cars also. :)

    Uggh! After going throgh commetns I realised its not compatible with camry. I always thought xW-xx (5W-30 in my case) is nacessary and sufficient condition for oil specs. Now what the heck is C3-5 suffix. Does it matter?

      Hey! Just curious why you're saying it won't work on your camry? This is my first time purchasing engine oil and I've been doing a bit of research, and unless your car is old and doesn't work best with synthetic and would rather mineral, I don't see why it won't work…

        So there are 2 approaches of looking at it.
        1. None of the standard sellers viz. Repco, AutoBarn etc. recommend C3-5 for Camry. A standard semi synthetic/synthetic 5W-30 is recommended. C3-5 is suited for cars with DPF (diesel particulate filter) and probably diesel engines.

        Approach 2 - Now that we have got it cheap, and it has the specs + extra additive, will put in an see what happens! Anyway, camry ain't a fussy car :)

      Yeah no kidding. Been a week and still hasn't shown up (and i'm in the same city as them).

      They gave me a tracking number beginning with "TESYD" and I don't know which courier it is.

        I raised the issue with tracking provided with eBay and the seller and they didn't mention the courier company they have used to send in their reply! Very odd
        Not sure what's going on but I have a feeling we won't be receiving anything from these guys.
