  • Do you sell any high-end analogue gaming headsets?

  • +1

Decent deal but 398g on your head

    • +1

I use corsair virtuoso rgb wireless xt as my daily, they are 382g. Seems about right for this style of headset.

    • I use the Audeze Maxwell headset, they're a whopping 490g. Sounds heavy, but they're actually very comfortable. At least for me they are anyway.

  • +2

From last time I bought for$99

It's a good headset. Clamping pressure is a little high. Some people complain about drop outs etc but I don't have that issue. I have a fairly big head and it's comfortable.

Tempted to get another set for when my existing set blow up

    • Do you feel the clamping pressure gets too tight if you're using it for longer period?
And hows the feel? Does it get warm / too warm in a prolonged use?

      • +1

They will feel warm they use pleather ear cups. I always prefer breathable materials.

        • Ah good point… more hunting for new headset then… (my last headset ear cup is starting to fray)

          • +1

@dTazzie: Yeah man I have two of these epos headsets sitting on my shelf. One has the pleather I used it for like two hours before putting him out the pasture. The other one has better ear cups, but as others says it does have a vice like grip on my head. I now went back to using my Philips Fidelio X2HR and Senheiser HD599 with a desk standing mic from Aliexpress

          • +2

@dTazzie: I assume that you could buy different replacement earpads from e.g. Amazonfor them and leave them on a watermelon overnight to stretch if the clamping force is too much.

            • +2

@Stingy Student: Thanks for this :)
Found after-market earcups replacement for my headset :)

(there goes my excuse of buying new headphone lol)

      • Initially it was way too tight, like headache inducing after 20 minutes. But I kept using them because the sound was good haha. After about 4 listening sessions now they have loosened up enough. The quality of sound is quite good I would say.

        Pretty comfortable I would say.

    • Do you use bluetooth or the dongle?

  • +1

    Micro-usb…

Was in the market for a new headset, was holding out for a deal on the Astro A50 X, but at this price, there is no way the A50 X is worth 7 times more.

I did like my old Sennheiser PC373D headset I had a long time ago. For $99, willing to take a shot on this one.

  • +1

first ebay plus offer that has tempted me… should i do a free trial ?

  • Watched a lot of reviews on this, JayzTwoCents says the mic isn't great on it but liked most other parts of the headset

    • Yeah I read a couple of reviews before purchase - one descibed the microphone as perfectly fine for gaming but not recommended for podcasting. I think for gaming, phone / zoom calls the headset mic should be better than any headphones without a boom arm mic anyway.

  • +1

Is the headset good at canceling noise? Would like a active noise canceling headset that can be used for gaming.

    • +1

I loked into it, noise cancellation is actually for the microphone. The review that I watched, the feature blocked most of the noise from a mechanical keyboard.

    • +2

See my comment/review below. TLDR: passive noise cancellation from the fit is top notch, but no "electronic" active noise cancellation is present except for the mic.

  • +1

Used these as a daily for bit over 2 years, bit tight on bigger head but good sound, range and battery life.

Replacement pads are like $18 a set on Amazon and they just snap off and on.

    Would recommend.

    • +1

My earpads split along the seam after about a year, and Sennheiser sent out replacements under warranty no questions asked

While not the same model, I had an EPOS H6 Pro and it sounded like absolute mud

  • +3

These are just "ok" wireless headphones. They are ok at $99 price point but only on par with others, but were never worth the $500 point.
Mic is pretty bad, but does the job if really close.
Has a lot of silence hiss.
    Auto power off unreliable.
Sound without silence is quite good.

  • I have these. Sound quality is very good. Be aware that the Surround and chat volume dial only work on PC not on consoles.

  • +2

For those on the fence, my thoughts after receiving them today: Sound felt flat out of the box, but after installing the EPOS gaming suite software and using the "music" preset, it came alive. Crisp, punchy bass and great clarity. Appears to save the preset onto the headset itself, so retains that sound profile when using the dongle on another device (PS5 in my case). Main downside is that it's an absolute monstrosity of a headset, but the comfort (especially the plush and well sealing earcups) is top notch. I slightly preferred the sound of my Sony Pulse 3D's when comparing initially but after adjusting the EQ they surpass them with ease. Plus the passive noise cancellation achieved just from their excellent fit and seal is vastly superior. Recommended at this price for sure (side note: the included bonus mousepad is ass though lol).

  • received mine yesterday. I couldn't hear the mike feedback somehow. Any thoughts?

    • hey adam, download the "EPOS gaming suite" then in there click the "microphone" setting (middle button on bottom row that looks like a face speaking). Mic feedback level is determined by the "side tone" bar setting. I've got mine on 25%, enough to hear myself without overpowering incoming audio. Best of luck!

      • Thank you for the instruction! I end up returning the headphones. Seller charged 30% restock fees :(

        • ah damn, was too late checking back on the deal. hope you found a fitting replacement mate

    • N.B. you can record yourself with the "mic test" on the far right when in this settings menu to fine tune your preferences (at least that's what I did to get my settings)
