You gonna get negged. Best to put the aud amount in the title.

Pls make the price in the title AUD as the USD price confuses people

  • Is this a good deal or should I wait for another 4060 deal? Looking for a budget gaming laptop to connect to an external monitor.

I'd say the slim may be a better deal. Local stock, a bit cheaper (even adding 32GB ram and 1TB ssd), and I'd rather have the 8845HS for better efficiency given the thermal limitations of a laptop chassis - gives more chance for the 4060 to boost.

The Pro 5 design might have some advantages that aren't apparent from the spec sheet, not sure.

      • Pro has better cooling and uses more metal and feels sturdier. Doesn’t really matter on AMD as their CPUs draws less power, but if you need intel for whatever reason the pro is the one to pick.

    • You can get a 4060 deal for around $1200 to $1500. But if you want a 4070 instead, https://www.jw.com.au/product/msi-katana-15-b12vgk-15-6-i7-1… is available for the same price.

      https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-nitro-5-15-6-inch-i5-12…

Both of these are 4060s and are under $1500,

But it is low end MSI … will their quality even on par with Lenovo?

      • A laptop is the sum of its parts. Not just a 4060 in the cheapest available chassis.

no guarantee of warranty on a US model, 15% restocking fee in case you got a bad unit and wanted to return it (b&h is notorious for this in the states), and no clear value proposition over lenovo AU 4060 legion deals. sure thing, 32gb ram upgrade and 240hz screen is already factored in, but it is also a '23 unit. While gains between most 13 to 14th gen is not big, 14700HX to a 13700HX is.

I dont see a point to this.

  • I'd buy from AU website with AU warranty when the 10-15% shopback cashback is active. You also get lenovo reward points enough to buy one or two legion accessories like a mouse or headphone

    This really isn't a deal. I got the Legion Pro w/ 4070 for $2100 Q3 last year.

  • The price just dropped to $1,200 as of now
