Just found this from BigW website, it is 120cm tall, free shipping. It seems a good deal for me.

The 120cm Oxford Pine Tree (Tree No. 1) features:

    Nice price, although yesterday I was at Big W and they had a few trees set up. They looked NOTHING like the pictures on the box.

          So there's the story of a Japanese shopping centre taking delivery of a crucifix, xmas tree, and Santa Claus to be set up in their food mall. Thing is, being Shinto adherents in the main, they weren't completely up to speed on the whole Santa story.

          An American tourist shows up, after the tree has been set up, and there's Santa Claus, at the top of the tree, nailed onto the crucifix.

          That's right, they crucified Santa…

    these are really tiny and ugly.
    Better to choose a branch from a tree, $0.

    And a reminder: Christmas trees traditionally go up on CHRISTMAS EVE, by which time they are 1/2 price in the shops.

    Put one up any sooner, and you are a victim of corporate mass-advertising, aka brainwashing. (Aren't we all?)

    Last year (mid November) I ordered a Christmas tree from Big W, didn't arrive until the 23rd of December. Nice one Big W, great work!

    Surely there are many differing traditions around Christmas and Christmas trees, depending on your country, your religion and even family traditions that you have enjoyed (or endured) over the years. We always put ours up on Dec 1, and while I never knew anyone who waited to Dec 24 to put one up, I will take your word for it that some do, however I know what my tradition is, and that will continue to do for me.

    i'm cheap, i have a big conifier in the backyard. Going to tell the kids santa took away the star at the top because of OH&S issues.

      Yeah same for me, I rang Big W customer care, and they placed the order over the phone, they found it was adding delivery charge their end as well. They just did a manual override. They were very helpful I must admit.
