  • What are the cons of grey import mobile phones compared to local stock?

    • +1

Local stock has a real 2-year warranty. Local stock can also be used for Samsung trade-in. Maybe imports can be used with 3rd party trade-ins, I don't know.

    • +27

When something goes wrong with an import device, Samsung Australia won't help you.
When something goes wrong with a genuine Australian product, Samsung Australia won't help you.

  • +1

If the 24 is the snapdragon variant it may be better than the Exynos Local stock

    • +2

What do you mean by "better than the Exynos Local stock"?
Australian Samsung S24 Ultra uses the Snapdragon.

      • +1

        but not the standard 24

        • +2

Have no fear, seems this one has both! Just a quick snippet from the product page:

          Chipset: Qualcomm SM8650-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm) - USA/Canada/China
          Exynos 2400 (4 nm) - International

It seems you might have to roll the dice on it and see?

        • Oh, got you.
I thought the post was only about the Ultra, but I see the link to the standard version as well.

  • No warranty ,Also may be Dual Sim instead of E Sim

    • 12 months mate

  • We have had alot of questions about the daul sim nano function , if both sims can use Volte the answer is yes 100% works - thanks for reading

  • Esim is way to go.

    • Why? What is so good about esim?

      • +1

You have multiple esims in your phone and enable any ONE on demand.

        • Oh.. that's pretty cool.

      • Can travel then buye online on the way and ready before your feet hit the ground.

  • I've been thinking about buying S24 Ultra and just waiting for a sub $1500 deal.

Would I be better off buying outright or buying on a plan and port my personal voice SIM over? If I already have SIMs with voice and a work paid data SIM.
