$30/year for IoT? You may have to do more than 15% off.
I'm paying $10 for Lebara standard plan, 2c/MB. They do eSIM and calls too, so good for a smartwatch.

$30/year for IoT? You may have to do more than 15% off.

It's a decent offer for a post-paid service … more interesting is what sort of interface they offer for managing 1000x sim cards at the same time.

I'm paying $10 for Lebara standard plan, 2c/MB. They do eSIM and calls too, so good for a smartwatch.

That's a pre-paid service. No one wants their IoT shit going down because someone forgot to top up.

      Should compare apples with apples.

    • I have the same for my smart watch.

      No Support for smartwatches…

      • And yet it is working just fine for me and many others.

        • should the main sim on the phone be from the same company as the watch eSim? I am a bit confused.

    • Which plan is this? Couldn't find anything on Lebara website.

    • Bargaino, does Lebara SIM support Cat M1 or NBIoT?

      • Says right on the order page, no they don’t

1nce do 10 YEARS for $10USD. That’s $290 cheaper that this plan, and that includes NB-IoT and CATM1

There is also seeek with their free low data sim.

Though it is really good to see some more sub $5 monthly plans, really need to be at the $5-$10 a year mark.

    • It seems they will charge an additional $15USD for every 500MB of data top-up.

      • So $30au for 600mb a year vs $15usd a year for 500mb (if needed as data expires after 10 years).

        My iot devices uses around 1.5mb a month. So the 10 I’m using would be $100usd ($10usd x 10 devices) for 10 years vs $3,000au ($30au x 10 devices x 10 years).
Even the first year comes to nearly half the price.

Different use cases, but most iot use tiny amounts of data. I’d be happy with 50mb for $5 year (instead of month) or $1 a month for 5mb.

        • Ok, you may have a point for your case. Previously, we offered a 5MB/month plan, but we discontinued it because our customers typically use between 100MB and 500MB per month. Many people prefer having a buffer to avoid data cutoffs for extended periods.

      • One other thing worth mentioning is the NCE1 sim also works in 173 countries without any further costs, and comes with 250SMSs. Lemon does not allow SMS. The one potential downside for NCE1 is they are throttled to a maximum of 1 Mbits/s. Lemon does not mention what throughput their IOT plans offer. 1Mbits/s is plenty for most IOT apps though.

Thanks for the lead - do you know anyone that does voice too? For elevator telephones that get used once every 3 months or so for a test.

For anyone wondering about the Network provider: Optus (Australia)

    • Yup, not really a deal if you can't even use the data.

Did you borrow the JBHiFi font and colours for your logo? legit thought this was a deal at JB
