Vegan Protein Flavours

We have 8 flavours available to choose from.

All our flavoured Vegan options are naturally sweetened using a combination of thaumatin and stevia. Thaumatin accounts for approximately 80% of the sweetness given how potent it is relative to stevia. The unflavoured version is not sweetened at all.

Fancy Flavour Descriptions:

Written by Chiara on our team, she is far more articulate than me!

Banana Mylk: A smooth shake that blends subtle vanilla with the rich, sweet taste of ripe bananas, enhanced by a slightly nutty undertone from the natural flavour of vegan protein.
Caramel Butterscotch: A rich buttery caramel flavour, with undertones of French vanilla and hints of Himalayan salt.
Choc Cherry Delight: A twist on a classic Aussie chocolate bar, combining the deep richness of dark chocolate with the sweet tanginess of cherries and a touch of coconut.
Chocolate Bliss (New and Improved): A smooth, velvety shake featuring sweet and rich milk chocolate notes.
Latte Coffee: A perfect mix of buttery vanilla and the bold, bitter notes of robusta coffee in a satisfying shake for coffee lovers.
Masala Chai: A flavourful blend of chai spices with sweet, smooth vanilla undertones. This flavour is an absolute must try for chai latte lovers.
Smooth Vanilla (New and Improved): A perfectly balanced vanilla flavour, enhanced by light notes of caramel.
Unflavoured: This will represent the raw/earthy taste of the core pea and rice protein blend, however no additional flavouring or sweeteners have been added.

Flavour Availability:

Flavour availability will change throughout the deal. I will this area updated as flavours run out.

      • Thanks Jay I will give it a spin.

        • No worries and thanks for the order @mwahahaha!

          Jay

  • Does this dissolve well? Every vegan protein powder I've tried has a grainy texture that sticks in your throat.

    • @tetra yes it does. I'd recommend using a shaker bottle.

I have tried a number of the vegan proteins and I know exactly what you mean. Ours is not particularly grainy/gritty (typically as a result of the pea protein).

If you're not happy for whatever reason, we will back it with our 110% Guarantee, so please don't hesitate to reach out.

      Jay

  • whats your most popular flavour?

    • Hi @ChatCPT thanks for asking. The most popular flavour is Chocolate Bliss.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

      • thanks just trying to decide which one to get. Not a fan of chocolate but sometimes protein powders taste nothing like their flavours

        • No worries. If you don't like chocolate, Vanilla is a very close second, followed by the banana.

          Jay

        • Be sure to clean your protein shaker thoroughly. I find it affects flavour. Plant/Vegan proteins are more delicate flavours as opposed to whey counterparts

  • any non-vegan deal, OP?

    • Thanks for asking @xiaozaocha

You'll get 30% off the entire range with free delivery by using this same code. This is the best discount we have on offer. So for example with our WPI that will be 30% off the full price and with free delivery.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

  • Hi Jay (@aminozcomau), I can't find the chocolate honeycomb flavour in the list… can you please check?

    Thanks

    • Hi @indian81, we don't have a chocolate honeycomb in our Vegan range, only our WPI. Was this what you were looking for?

      Jay

      • May I please ask what else is contained in WPI range that won't fit this product for the vegan range?

        Thanks again.

        • Do you mean in relation to flavours?

All of the flavours are unique to each range and they will have a different flavour profile.

Even though they are different, the only similar/comparable flavours are chocolate, vanilla, banana, chai (similar to chai latte), choc cherry and latte coffee (similar to iced coffee). We do not have a caramel butterscotch in the WPI. And all the remaining WPI flavours aren't in the Vegan Protein.

          I hope this helps.

          Jay

          • @aminozcomau: Hey Jay, thanks for being prompt. sorry I should be more specific to my question? does the WPI range contain gluten, fish or any other animal's fat except the one derived from cow's milk?

            Thanks

            • @indian81: Oh no problems, sorry I missed that.

There is the Aussie Choc Malt flavour in the WPI range which does contain gluten. But otherwise, there may only be minute traces of gluten and fish as we process gluten and fish-derived products in our facility.

Please let me know if this clarifies.

              Jay

  • thanks bought some. look forward to trying the flavours

    • Thanks for the order @SpiderBite!

      Jay

    • Thanks for the support @DraggyX!

We'll certainly consider these other products for deals in the future too. I appreciate the suggestion.

      Jay

  • Awesome deal. Bought this and some non-stim pre workout to try this time round, and used some Z-points along the way. Thanks for engaging the community Jay.

    • Thanks for the new order and the ongoing support @dottydotdot!

      Jay

  • Thanks Jay, I have placed my order.

Just checking whether you plan on stocking the bandito labs pre workout again?

    Thanks
    Mitch

    • Thanks for the order @mitchfrost!

Currently we don't have any dates on getting this one back into stock again I'm afraid.

      Jay

  • Amazing! I was just hoping that you guys would do a deal on the vegan protein powder. You guys are the best!

    • Thanks for the support of the deal @gollux!

      Jay

  • I still have like 6kg of unopened protein powder but can never say no to these deals! Another 5kg on the way 😅

    • +1

🤣 Thank you so much for the new order @MikeyKadabra7! There is after all plenty of time on the best before dates. I really appreciate the ongoing support!

      Jay

    • +1

      I have 23kg already, buying another 20kg

      • Hahaha do you live off protein powder?

  • i really want the water protein, not the milky protein.

    • +1

@Hugh G Rection do you mean like the clear whey protein? We're currently experimenting with this one but we don't yet have anything worthy of release.

      Jay

      • +1

thanks jay, hit me back when you get that fruit flavour clear whey. feel free to send me samples so i can share my unbiased opinion.

        • +1

          No worries @Hugh G Rection

This one likely will be a while off. When we finally develop something that we feel is good enough, we'll be doing a big announcement. We're currently battling with a few challenges, particularly in relation to frothing and bitterness in the flavouring.

          Jay

  • any deals on wpc or wpi?

    • +1

      Thanks for asking @jiminyjillikers

You can use this code for 30% off the rest of the range, including both our WPI and WPC, with free delivery. That's the best offer we have available currently.

      Jay

  • Hey Jay, just wondering how this vegan blend differs from the pea protein? I bought 5kg last sale and love the vanillia!

    • Thanks for asking @JobbaWobba!

This is a similar product and is primarily organic pea protein, but we have added in organic rice protein as a secondary protein to improve the flavour profile and texture. This one is a bit more popular than our straight pea protein and we've recently revamped the chocolate and vanilla, but also released a bunch of others too.

      Thanks for the support!

      Jay

      • Ahh interesting! I havent got any of that typical "flour" texture you get from normal pea protein so ive been very impressed with it. Is the organic pea protein a higher quality protein than the organic rice protein? I.e. is there any reason to buy the pea protein compared the mix?

        • @JobbaWobba yeah we spent a considerable amount of time trying to source a pea protein that didn't have that floury/grainy/gritty texture that you're referring to.

Honestly they are similar products, but we have been focussing on releasing more flavours in the "Vegan Protein" blend as opposed to the straight Pea Protein. I would say the key difference is the flavour range.

The addition of the rice protein does improve the texture a little, but if you've been happy with the Pea Protein, I don't believe it's going to be revolutionary. The Pea Protein is the primary protein in this Vegan blend also.

Thanks for asking about this and I hope this sheds some light.

          Jay

    Hi Jay/Vanessa,

How many servings are in a 1kg bag of Vegan Protein compared to a 1kg bag of WPI? Had a quick look on the site but couldn't see. I have some WPI from the Feb sales but will jump on and try some Vegan to get away from lactose. Cheers!

    Pub

    • +1

      Hi Pub-

Both are with suggested 30g to 40g per serving, depending on the flavour (you may also check via the Nutri Info tab).
ONE kg bag can make 25 to 30 servings :)

      • Vanessa
  • Hows the taste of the vegan protein? Are they really tasty compared to say ON? Are the flavours strong or weak?

    • @Bangerbargain I'll preface my comment by stating that I am obviously biased as the owner of the company and also the guy putting together this deal. Plus, flavour is extremely subjective so it's hard to give you a concrete and unbiased answer here.

I have personally tasted a number of other plant based proteins on the market and, in my opinion, I do feel that this has both the best texture and the quality of the flavours are comparable to whey based proteins.

Take that with a grain of salt and I would encourage others to chime in here too. But what I can say is that we will honour our 110% Guarantee if you're not satisfied with the quality of this product. Try it out and if you're not happy with it, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to refund/replace or give you 110% back in store credit.

      Jay

  • Hello Jay,
Any plans to start shipping in NZ?
    Thanks

    • No firm plans presently @Karansingh. We have had a number of requests for this, this is on our list to look into how feasible this will be for us. Sorry I cannot make any promises at present.

      Jay

  • Ordered 5kg - looking forward to sampling them all!

    • Thanks for the new order @zapzap1!

      Jay

  • Hi, what is the closest or exact product that you may have in the range as https://switchnutrition.com.au/products/wpi-switch

It is WPI and lactose free as it seems plant or vegan protein is grainy texture. Thanks.

    • It has lactase added to it as well. I would really be keen as I'm lactose sensitve

    • Thanks for asking @bansid

So we do have a straight WPI which is the most comparable product. It does contain a small amount of lactose (1.2%) and we do not add in any lactase, so I am unsure if this presents an issue for you if you are lactose sensitive.

This Vegan Protein that we have in this deal is lactose-free (note a possibility of minute trace amounts as it is processed in the same facility as our WPI). However I do note that it is not a whey protein isolate, which is the core ingredient of the Switch Nutrition WPI you linked to.

Our Vegan Protein does not have the same grainy texture as many others on the market. We have spent a lot of time sourcing a pea protein that doesn't have this typical texture.

Should you order any of our proteins and should you be unhappy for whatever reason, please feel free to reach out and we will be happy to refund/replace or give you 110% back in store credit. Taste, texture, digestibility or any other issues should you be unhappy.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

  • Am I correct in saying that WPI is 1 scoop, but this would be 2 scoops per serve?

    • +1

That's what it says on the website. Would this mean WPI is the better value protein considering you need double the amount of this Vegan Protein?

    • +2

      @sildosaggins @chouri

The serving sizes will be comparable, as in the Vegan Protein, 1 serve is generally 31-33g and in the WPI, 1 serve is generally similar.

So in terms of total value, it is comparable as the serving sizes are very similar.

The difference is that we have a smaller scoop in the Vegan Protein. We will be transitioning to a larger scoop because it's not typical to expect 2 scoops to equal one serve. This is something I have highlighted with the team just now also as this clearly can cause some confusion. Thanks for asking about this!

      Jay

      • Thanks for clarifying Jay. I've ordered 5kg "Plant Protein". Also looking forward to next WPI special

        • No worries, thanks for the support of the deal @chouri!

          Jay

      • Yes cheers for the clarification, I thought that might be the case. Indeed it is a bit odd with the 2 scoops. I might have to try some now. 🙂

        • No problems @sildosaggins and thanks for the support of the deal!

          Jay

    • +1

@blindy you can find all the lab tests we have published on the product page, under the "Lab Tests" tab. Currently we only have individual ingredient reports up.

We are in the process of getting independent lab tests done on the finished product, like we do regularly with our WPI. We've recently redeveloped the Vegan Protein and launched an additional 5 flavours, so that's why we haven't got any up yet. But this will be prioritised in the coming months for transparency.

I will highlight this to the team. Thanks for asking!

      Jay

Got the banana flavour and it tastes pretty good! Thanks for giving an option for those who choose to avoid causing unnecessary suffering of innocent baby animals.

    • Thanks for the feedback @deejaygrub! Our team will be chuffed with this and I really appreciate the support!

      Jay

  • +1

Ordered a kilo last week - Wish I had’ve waited! Paid 50 bucks for the Banana Mylk and would recommend. Very tasty and I’ve tried every brand of plant protein under the sun.

    • Thanks will try

    • +1

Thanks for the order prior to this deal @warningspooky

If you only just ordered, feel free to shoot over a message and Vanessa can look after you.

I greatly appreciate you sharing this feedback and I am very happy to read that you've been impressed! I'll also pass this along to the team.

      Jay

  • Hi Amino, when should we receive the store credit after purchasing, and is it automated?

    • Hi @Voucherd thanks for asking! It will be added into your account within 10 days of your order shipping. Yes, it is automated. Any issues after the 10 days, please feel free to reach out to our team.

      Jay

  • Just wanted to check but I used to take your WPI (1 scoop with milk), can this be used similarly? Thanks!

    • @NoiceMemes thanks for the question.

Yes, this can be added to milk and used similarly. The key difference is in the type of protein used - the WPI is a dairy-derived protein, whereas this product uses a combination of pea and rice derived proteins. Flavour and texture will differ between the two.

      I hope this helps!

      Jay

  • -1

Yeah was wondering how to get the $20 credit (not a member), do I need to sign up?

    • This might answer your Q (copied info from the post)

Receiving Store Credit: Store credit is assigned as "Z Points" to your account within 10 days of your order shipping. It can then be applied to any future order that you place.

    • Thanks for asking @Krayzii (and thanks for helping out @pinktrumpet). I'll expand upon this.

No, you will not need to sign up.

So if you haven't purchased from us before, you will receive $20 back in store credit if you purchase 3kg of the Vegan Protein. You do not need to sign up before placing your order.

If you don't already have an account, our system will create one for you, so we can issue you the store credit.

Then, within 10 days after your order ships, the store credit will be added into your account automatically. This will be in the form of Z Points, which can then be used as a discount for any new order that you place.

I hope this helps and thanks for your interest!

      Jay

      • I only remembered about the credit after placing an order and didn't create an account, this answers my questions thanks Jay!
I will just wait for your system to create one for me.

        • +1

No worries. Thanks for the order!

          Jay

  • As one of the people asking for a sale of the vegan line on your previous posts, thank you! Have tried both vanilla and choc previously, keen to try the new flavours. Thanks Jay and Vanessa

    • Thank you for the feedback and ongoing support @sandman28!

This feedback (from both you and everyone else who chimed in/upvoted) is the key reason why we decided to run this particular deal. I cannot tell you how greatly I appreciate this feedback.

Glad you've liked both the vanilla and choc and I hope you like the new ones!

      Jay

  • Pea protein stops me - reflux trigger.

For those in the same boat, I've found Nature's Way Instant Natural Protein (chocolate is my preference) really good - never resulting in reflux.

  • Hi Aminoz team,

I really enjoyed your Ozb offerings over the years!
Do you have lactose free WPI (not plant or vegan)?

    • Thanks for asking @TheKas.

I'm afraid we do not strictly speaking. Our WPI, while low in lactose (1.2% based on weight), is not completely lactose free.

      Jay

    • +3

Yesterday we received a suggestion to offer an unflavoured version and I'm happy to say that the team have confirmed that we'll be able to produce it and have it shipped out this week. We're currently accepting backorders for the unflavoured and there will only be a minor delay.

Thanks @Hector for the feedback too!

      Jay

  • What is the flavour like of these compared to others? Prana on is meh, Blessed (EHP) is sickly, and Macro Mike is way too expensive for the protein/macro ratio.

I've just been using Bulk Nutrients future whey (vegan clear protein) as I got really sick of milky proteins, and it's one of the cheapest protein powders for its macro profile. Though I read recently that vegan protein sources aren't as bioavailable as meat protein and future whey is mostly bcaa proteins.

Anyone tried this protein and can you vouch for it?

    • I can definitely vouch for their WPI. Haven’t tried their vegan protein yet though.

    • @TeamSAXON I won't comment on comparisons as I'll obviously be biased, but if you do proceed to order we do back this with our 110% Guarantee. We'll onboard the financial risk if you're going to give us a go. So if you're unhappy for whatever reason (eg. taste, texture etc), feel free to hit us up for a refund/replacement/110% back in store credit.

      Thanks for your interest!

      Jay

      • Thanks, I might give it a shot. I'm just trying to decide between a flavoured or unflavoured version. Would you say there are any flavours that are overly sweet?

        • Thanks for asking @TeamSAXON

Out of the flavours, choc cherry would be the sweetest. Banana and Caramel are pretty well balanced in terms of sweetness.

If it's too sweet for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team and we'll be happy to refund/replace or 110% back in store credit.

          Jay

  • How does this compare with VPA Premium Plant Protein, do you know? I've tried that in the past and found it quite grainy. As well as shakes, I mix protein powder with Chobani Greek Yoghurt as a snack and I found the VPA Plant Protein to be very thick, grainy and like a paste. Do you know how your vegan protein mixes?

Your WPI mixes perfectly, very smooth and silky with Greek yoghurt.

    • @thriftylashes I have not personally tried this VPA product and cannot make any comparison (hopefully someone else has).

I can advise that the texture of this product was top priority for us, as many plant proteins on the market have that grainy/gritty feel to them. I am confident that ours does not have that typical texture.

If you do proceed to order we do back this with our 110% Guarantee. We'll onboard the financial risk. So if you're unhappy for whatever reason (eg. taste, texture etc), feel free to hit us up for a refund/replacement/110% back in store credit.

      Thanks for your interest!

      Jay

      • Thanks for the thorough reply. Will give it a go.

        • I tried one of their vegan samples not expecting much (I haven't tried any other vegan protein before, I use wpi)

It's very smooth, but quite thick so keep that in mind. Basically smoothie consistency (at least when i tried the older choc flavour)

  • I'm always amazed how quickly the orders get sent out and appreciate the updates. Hopefully it tastes as good as the casein and WPI.

    • Thanks for the support and the kind feedback @johngrey. We'll be open to any feedback you may have on the product as we're always looking to improve.

      Thanks again!

      Jay

  • is the website running slowly for anyone?

    • @jeongjinny I've just checked it and cannot find any issues, is it still slow for you?

      Jay

  • Hey Op, can I stack the code with my Platinum membership discount?

    • +1

      Thanks for asking @serbpie

No, this promotion won't stack and with any other discounts or promotions. If you have Z Points in your account, you can however use these as a discount on top of this deal price.

      Jay

  • you guys are exceptional!
When does this promo end? Still have bags from the previous deal but will be ordering since we recently became vegan.

  • Guys I've been wondering for a while…
regardding the regular Protein . I seem to receive two textures of powders

Some runs uniformly like dry sand.
Others are a bit clumpy and hold shape like wet sand. Is that excepted ?

I prefer the dry style cos it mixes more easily and consistently.

    • Hi @capslock janitor yes, this seems about right. It's due to the flavouring that we use, so we will find that some flavours run less smoothly than others.

We are working with our flavour companies to transition the entire range over to a consistent and finer texture of the dry powder for the reasons you've identified above. I'll also pass this along to the team as feedback. Thanks, I appreciate it!
