  • I have the case for the non-oled version and it's sleek. Much nicer than the bulky OEM case the deck came with.

If anyone didn't know the 1TB Oled carrying case comes with removable liner meaning you can take it apart and get a slimmer case. The 512gb model does not though.

  • Hmm I might have to grab one of these. I always struggle to fit the SD in my backpack

  • +1

great case, YKK zipper is very stong. Been using for travel for a few years now

  • I really like the case that the Steam Deck comes with, but I've used the Switch version of this case and it is nicely made, so it's probably a good option if somebody wants to try different case.

yep - tomtoc cases are great - well moulded, high quality zippers and slim design

wish there was a broader colour choice, but the grey is nice compromise (not black and not dirt magnet white)

hopefully they expand into the retro handheld console market too

    is a much slimmer case

I have this case, while it's slimmer, it's not much slimmer and the Deck feels loose inside. Multiple reviews go over this.

It's not a bad case, the quality is good and the zipper is good too, same quality as their Switch cases. I've used it a fair bit, but the MSRP is a little questionable for what it offers. On sale it's acceptable. I don't use the "pouch" for anything at all.

    • I just received my Tomtoc case today and agree 100% with your review. It's not "much slimmer" than the bulky original Steam Deck case at all, contrary to what some reviewers claim. I would classify it as "marginally slimmer". The official Tomtoc promo photos are angled in such a way to make the case look slimmer than it really is. The case is well made and of high quality, but it really feels like it doesn't offer anything new.

And yep, it feels like the case is designed to be big enough to fit a Deck that has one of those slim protective snap-on shells fitted.

  • Is there an external difference between the deck and deck OLED? Are dbrand skins, cases and rear shells compatible across generation?

    • They are exactly the dimensions, even the overall glass size for the screen is the same (bezels on the OLED are smaller). So all skin's, cases, shells and screen protectors will fit both. Its honestly really well done by Valve.
