  • Is it the same one that sold for $290 with $70 cash back a few weeks ago?

  • I got one one month ago. After cashback and tax refund, it was totally $200. Good price, but poor experience.

It has a poor battery, it is very heavy and hard to get a proper cover. The camera is very bad, the picture is like shit!!!

3G function supports sms but doesn't support the call. HD video play such as a mov format 720 video recorded by Nikon D3100 is not support too……

    • You are right about one thing that It's heavy but it performs well. I have downloaded some big games and it handled it well. One other annoying thing is the 3 buttons on the side. I always hit them and they revert me back to the home screen.

Overall I think it's still worth the $200.00 you ended it up paying. $300.00 is pushing it without the cash back.

      • The 3G is what gets me in on this tablet at this price. No 3G no deal…I'd go for the Samsung Tab 2 deal I posted today.

      • All right, cheers for the price. You can forbid the physical buttons in the settings.

    • I'd agree it's heavy but the upside is it's solid as a rock…will handle some hard knocks I think. I haven't tried looking for a case yet but I'll bet it's harder to find than some.

      • Ended up buying a good quality case from England on Ebay. Didn't like the Chinese cases.

    • For good video performance try out MX Player which handles all the various files I have thrown at it to play over my HDMI connection to my TV at HD specification.
Note that it will get you to download the correct codec for the processor in the lenovo.

  • Does anyone know if the Android OS updates automatically (over the air), or do you have to go through all this "flash" nonsense?

    • Yep OTA firmware updates, does it automatically once you get net.

  • +1

CM10 is available on XDA for this tablet but you need to ROOT under honey comb and then update to ICS while keeping root to install the CM10 rom.

Quick review of my stock 4.0.3:
there's a bug with the firmware which means you can't use CHROME browser on this reliably.
Good performance but I found it lack a little bit of power compared to my galaxy s2 phone.
In games the performance are generally good.
Micro stutters/lags and/or input freeze at random times, could be annoying for some.
Good reader with excellent text and picture quality.
Build quality could be better, flexing on my top left corner.
Pen is could be useful for some but I never have any need to use it.

Overall good first android tablet for people who never had one. For advance users, I'll stay away.

Bought mine in the previous Epic Hour deal that never happened for $250 (They honoured the price), and got the $70 powerbuy cash back (NOT available now). I reckon for $180 it was a bargain, but for $300 for 3G is not worth it.
