This previously popular portable monitor from ASUS ZSUS is back and a tad cheaper than last time. A good option for those looking for something a bit smaller at 14" with 1440p resolution and 350cd/m² brightness. I personally use these alongside my laptop when travelling for work and given the small size it can easily fit in my backpack.

Featuring a 14" IPS display with 2160x1440 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 15:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB colour gamut, 350cd/m² brightness, HDR, 178° wide viewing angle, dual speakers and weighs 500g.

There's two USB-C ports for display/power and power input, PD passthrough charging, Mini HDMI and a headphone jack. A portable stand, Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, USB-A to USB-C cable, USB-C to USB-C cable and charger are included.

Great option for a ‘troubleshooting monitor’ if you’re running a home lab.

  • i thought it was ASUS LOL

  • Seems like a good deal but the lack of a proper sleeve stand might be a deal-breaker if you actually want to use this out and about hassle free.

  • Can you just plug in fire tv in these? Would it just work with a remote then?

    It's weird to see a screen ratio '15:10' where it's actually '3:2'……

  • Anybody got local shipping notice yet?

    Mine is up to here:

  • amazing how light these are…

Doesn't work well with Game consoles, somehow the aspect ratio is not right and I've tried all the options and it all seems stretched a little bit vertically
Ie It does not letter box

also mistakenly ordered the non-touch version
Do touch versions of these go on sale much?.

    • This is a 3:2 ratio screen, totally unsuitable for modern consoles.

Might be quite a good choice for retro emulation though, it's a lot closer to 4:3 than a widescreen display 🤔

  • Looks like I can't adjust any settings on my one.

    Brightness is stuck at 50%

    • Are you powering it off the laptop or from another charger? Sometimes they need extra juice for higher brightness.

    • The controls are really strange. If your PC has HDR enabled, I think it locks the brightness…

Work around found and no HDR
I plugged in my Macbook Pro 14 and swapped to USB-C video, it then unlocked the settings. I changed everything to desired, then swapped back to HDMI, and it's working great.

Can't complain as I ended up getting mine for $40~ with my Alicredits

Edit: Using a RX7900XTX and HDMI on W11.

  • Just got mine, very happy with it as a second screen for my surface.
