Marvel movies various under $10 Apple TV+

    $10 per movie???

    • Go have a look? I’m not sure if you’re surprised it’s so cheap for 4K or if you think it’s expensive.

      • Is that to view the movie or own?

        • It’s not rental or watch once, it’s the digital version of owning but they can revoke the movies at any time, it’s a trade off for the cheap price.

            @penanzer:

but they can revoke the movies at any time

so they give you your money back then?

            • @jv: Apparently not, not sure if it’s a very common occurrence

              • @penanzer: So they steal your property?

                • @jv: It’s the current controversy, search on YouTube

                • -3

@jv: Do you ever get tired of being a (profanity)? You realise your constant trolling is actually a form of bullying to your fellow members here right?

                      Thanks… reported…

Not the first time they've been bullying either…

                    • @HolyCr4p: I will. (edit: defend jv, I ain't reporting shit, who actually bothers to do that?)

A guy making comments (you could say jokes, I will say comments) about a product or service on a website, that hasn't targetted or been directed even remotely at anyone on said website, is probably not actually bullying anyone.

                      Shocker, I know.

Another shocker, many a (profanity) (myself included) genuinely enjoy jv and would be proper gutted if he were to disappear from here. I see that stupid avatar I'm too ignorant to know who it is and I know I'm gonna get a chuckle. And I didn't even have to pay for it, a bargain.

Sometime the post is shocker and no bargain lol

          • @penanzer: Is it cheap though? I bought Iron Man 1 ex-rental for 10 bucks in 2008.

I know, I know, 4K this, 4K that, but when a movie is a decade and a half old, I don't care how shiny the resolution is, it shouldn't go for more than 10 bucks, especially not when you don't even get to have the frisbee on your shelf anymore.

  • "full" 4k HDR? Not likely

Hardly see this as a deal, you can get a Disney+ subscription (Apple method) via Turkey for ~$75 annually which has the entire MCU available.

    • +1

I'm not gonna buy a digital movie for $10, but it's probably cheaper in the long term to spend the $10 if all you care about is MCU or a specific movie rather than spending $75 a year for a subscription service.

      • There are 33 MCU movies currently available.

        Excluding upcoming/future releases,

$10x33=$330, which is the price of 4.4 years of Disney Plus via Turkey @ $75 (this is Ozbargain after all).

Even if you make it 2-3 years of Disney Plus, accounting for future price jacks and excluding future movie releases, you are significantly ahead.

5 years can go in a flash

If youre going to buy the movie, get physical media, i have missing movies from iTunes that i had paid for and cannot watch due to licencing.

    • Perfect example of the term/word's "purchase/own" now becoming ambiguous when businesses are involved, just like "lifetime map updates" use to be when it came to SatNavs mid-late 2000's. Not that actual lifetime function of the physical device, but that of when the company decides to terminate that model.

    • +1

The way I see it is if I buy a digital license then I have the right to watch a ‘digital version’ even if they remove these movies later at least I did the right thing and I’ve got my license.

      • +1

Perfectly justifiable to myself & majority of ppl generally I'd say, but legally would differ, hence the legal docs/agreements buried in pages/lawyers.

        • -1

          but legally would differ

          How?

  • +1

If these specific movies have the 3D upgrades they were advertising then it could be worth getting these if you plan to get into Apple's VR/AR ecosystem since they apparently put a lot of work into the upgrades.

But I also get the feeling that the average owner of an Apple Vision Pro wouldn't need to wait for sales in the first place

  • +3

Not a deal if they can revoke it anytime. I will continue to sail the high seas

    • AAAAARRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……………

  • -2

Is that a deal? These trash movies are available everywhere for free

    • are available everywhere for free

Yep, my local library has copies you can borrow for free…

  • After so many debacles from Sony, WB, Nintendo and most recently Ubisoft revoking license for these so-called "digital merchandises", call me a skeptic but I'd prefer physical media or even pirated contents because at least I know I have the possession of those as long as time permits.

So that's a no from me.

everyone here pretending as if Marvel movies are great movies for grown ups. they are not. ipad babies watch it but probably gives them brain rot too. every single character has some kind of laser beam and can fly around with no proper explanation. story is crap and fighting scenes are just crap cg mashups.

I just learned something. marvel is owned by disney no wonder its all rotten.

"im over 50 years old AND I LOVE SUPERHEROES" 🤦‍♀️

also I think $9.99 is pretty standard pricing buying on itunes for anything that isnt just released. Tenet which is 2 hours 30 mins is currently $7.99 to buy on itunes. just chose that one because I know marvel movies can be long.

    • +2

You don’t know what you’re talking about $9.99 is not standard pricing for marvel on iTunes, these are normally $20 each and never go on sale(I’ve tracked them for years), regular price is more expensive than physical. This deal makes them substantially cheaper than physical.

      • -2

ok fair enough but I consider most of the movies on itunes are roughly $10 to buy. I only rent but I always see the buy price and its always around $10. Tenet is $7.99 on sale so I only consider it a $2 saving. it was probably $29.99 when it was released.
