Ozito PXC 18V Brushless Jet Blower with Gutter Cleaning Set 4.0Ah Kit $169 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ In-Store/ OnePass) @ Bunnings

910

Similar to this previous deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/743143 comes with a gutter cleaning kit at a price of $10 more than the previous deal.

I bought this one in Gungahlin Canberra, and at the time of posting they had a lot of stock at the store.

Thought this would be a good deal considering there was enough interest when it was posted last time at $10 less and with no accessories.

Great blower with plenty of power, should be able to clear gutters with ease.

  • Just bought 36V brushless version https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-36v-2-x-18v-brushless-…, should I returned it to get this one?

    • +8

      No way mate.
The 36V is almost a paint stripper. Too verstile!

      • +1

        Thanks for the advice @whitepa

    • +1

I considered that one too. It also is a good deal.
But I thought the 18v one was enough for my backyard needs and came with a fast charger and a battery which in itself costs a lot these days.

    • +6

My kids holding it while standing on a skateboard were able to get up to a reasonable speed :D

Just have spare batteries on hand if needing to use for extended periods as it chews through them (unless the brushless model is substantially more efficient. I picked up the old version a few years ago)

  • +2

Read some poor reviews of this on the Facebook Ozito page. Sounds like the 2 x 18v is the better blower, pity the gutter extensions aren’t available on their own.

  • +3

if i didn't get Ego, would have gotten this, it isn't to say they are comparable but the price is good considering how much i paid for ego

    • +3

dunno why ud be getting downvoted. Stating that this is a good blower for the price, but prob not as good as the ego blower is probably right on the money.

    • Which one was the ego? Does it also have gutter attachment? That's the thing I want to use without getting onto roof

  • Have it without the gutter attachment. Paid $30 more and love this blower!!! As powerful as my old 2 stroke but more versatile.

Blowing leaves out of the gutters is the best way to blow all the leaves into your roof cavity on your newly built house with the non compliant roof.

    • +7

Yeah but better to have dried debris in the roof than water back flowing into the non compliant roof.

      • +1

The water would douse the fire it is going to create I reckon. :)

        • +2

The water would cause a short circuit that sparks the fire 😂

      • Dry debris eventually becomes wet debris that rots.

    • +1

Yes and the leaves are never coming out once they are in your roof space. Is there an equivalent product that uses suction to get the leaves down?

      • +2

        It's called a vacuum.

        • +2

Can you post a link to a powerful cordless vacuum with the specialised gutter cleaning attachments

      • +2

Still waiting for a good cordless outdoor vac.

    • +15

      Non compliant? What a shermozzle.

    • Note even newly built. 90 yr old house with tiles. Schmutz just gets blown straight into the roof cavity.

Still trying to figure a good suction option… For the schmutz and leave and and twigs from neighbours overhanging gun trees.

      • +1

I’d be more worried about the overhanging guns than the schmutz…

    • +3

Call it insulation if it that helps.

  • How do these brushless guys compare to the $28 36v blower from years ago, lol?

    Tempted regardless

  • How does this compare to my Stihl petrol blower? Would like to go battery for the convenience

    • If you want better than petrol, get the DeWalt 54v flexvolt blower. Lasts maybe 15-20 minutes on a 6Ah battery but by golly it gives it all, you'll soon find any loose flakey paint around the house with it.
If you want at least comparable to petrol, you need to be looking at least at a 36v system from my experience.

      • +2

Thanks! The DeWalt sounds amazing but I am deep in the Ozito battery eco-system. I'll look into the 36v Ozito blower. Cheers

        • +1

I got to have a go of the Stihl blower with battery backpack the other week and that things was crazy powerful. Also quite easy to dial in to the velocity setting you want once you get to understand how the controls work. Really for a landscaper though.

  • +4

this is ok, but the 2 x 18v version is what you want.

    • Why? Not everyone needs/wants 36v tools.

  • +2

If only 2x18v comes with the gutter attachments

  • They say it is the Rolls Royce of blowers

  • Interesting to see how the gutter attachment works. With a hook like that I would think you blow across and at an angle without getting on the ladder

  • +1

Stihl does a gutter cleaner for their blowers. I thought about getting one but the guy at the shop said they aren't worth it as they are awkward to use.

  • +1

Anything like this that people recommend but with a blower+vac function?

    • I never see these on sale. Being looking for the last 6 mi months

    • Keen for this info too

  • +1

Is this good enough to blow dry car.

    • Yes , I would to know this one or the 36v is better?

      • I would think the 36v abit heavy to move around the car especially blow dry the roof, if you got a suv that gonna abit hard.

    • +1

I use a workshop blower for the car. A bit easier because it is much smaller.

      • +2

        I use the highway.

  • I've got the one that comes in a pack with the cheap blade wipper snipper, it reckons this has less kph of wind. Surely that's not right? https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-blower-sk…

    • Much less volume though so it might be moving the air slightly faster but moving a lot less of it (and less debris with it)
They don't even state the volume for those ones.

      • Yeah agree. If you are cleaning the gutter with them you need to be on the roof going across. Not an easy job and is dangerous at that

    • Speed and volume are key stats. The one advertised will blow the cheap one away. Pun intended.

    • It's more than adequate to use on the gutter. The smaller nozzle makes it easier to direct the air through the gutter. The gutter attachment for this kit looks cumbersome to use

  • Definitely the 2x18v is the go to option.

    • That one is very heavy though

    • For air volume maybe, not so much for speed.
36v - 480 cfm Max air volume; 210km/h Maximum air speed.
18v - 394 cfm Max. air volume, 200km/h Maximum air speed.

      • lol I put a couple in the Ozito comparison tool.
        Blow velocity: Jet Blower 36V = 210 m/h, Jet Blower 18V = not stated, 18V PXBLEK-418 (not the Jet blower) = 21000 m/h

  • -1

They just blowing debris to the street

  • Grabbed one anyway, the 4Ah battery kit alone is worth a lot, the gutter cleaning kit is also a good addition, noice one. The brushless jet blower is 2x as powerful as my cheap Ryobi one bought long time ago (that one comes with a 1.5Ah battery).
