Looks like the $9 shipping is back after the covid hiatus.

  • nice find

  • Bugger Me! I just bought the Noctua NH-D12L chromax.black for $210 on Amazon UK and it’s only $168 on there 😔

    • Return it.

depending on case, axp120x67 is a bit better if you don't have turbulance issues (70mm+ side clearance).

either way you should replace fan with a Silverstone air slimmer 120, beats the noctua a12x15 by 40-50% more airflow at same noise levels.

As an ITX enthusiast, I’ve tried many 12015 fans and here is my thoughts:

      1. Thermalright C12015 (stock fan from axp120x67) is neither quiet, nor powerful, nor cheap, and it breaks down so easily. You don’t wanna use it for only a month then found out it’s broken then need to tear the ITX build apart to replace it.
      2. I really like Noctua A12x15 for a long time, but it’s not quiet at all, and the performance is average. Its best part is the SSO2 bearing, which is almost unmatched in reliability among all 12015 thin fans.
      3. Deepcool FT12 Slim (stock fan on AN600) has the second strongest performance among the 12015 thin fans currently available in retail, with an over-classed three-phase 6-slot motor, but it’s not quiet at all.
      4. Arctic P12 Slim is cheap junk, consistently quiet and weak, but I’ve been hanging and using it for more than a year and it hasn’t broken yet.
      5. If it weren’t for the thickness issue, the actual 17mm thick Silverstone AS120(the one you mentioned) is the most balanced solution for 12015 thin fans, except for the risk of transportation damage caused by the single-layer cardboard box packaging (yep packaging does matter for fans since bearing is pretty fragile).
      6. The quietest 12015 thin fan is Corsair’s AF120 Slim, and its performance is not bad.
      7. Luxshare has a 3000 rpm 12015 thin fan that has a shape of like flat AK12B, with ball bearings, very powerful performance, but unfortunately, there is no retail.
      • Thanks for the insight, has been a fan of Noctua but seems with your feedback on the Silverstone AS120, I have taken the plunge. Umart is selling for $18 a pop, not available for pick up where I am, therefore, I had to get it posted. Definitely cheaper overall getting from Noctua Newegg store, but see how it goes.

        • IMO the only two Noctua fans that still worth buying would be A12x25 and A12x15. It’s been excellent but not anymore. Slow R&D cuz tbh the big old brother GentleTyphoon hasn’t updated for ages (oh well 90% of the 120 fans are “copying” GentleTyphoon anyway). Even the upcoming 140 fan is rumored to be average. I am more waiting for deepcool new FT series fans after hearing its 140 fan is better than Silent wing pro 4 and cheaper.

    • Thanks for this, I just picked one up and I have some SST-AS120B-ARGB fans from another build. Keen to pit them against the stock NF-A12x15 fan based on the feedback here.

  • Wow I bought this for double the price Jan last year
