Brochure/Flyer in the letterbox today: BigW One Day Sale (Sat 10 Nov only)

Front page:
- PepsiMax/Pepsi/Pepsi Next/Solo/Sunkist/Schweppes Lemonade 24-375ml Cans $10 pk = 41.66c/can
(Note, in SA - probably because of the 10c/can refund - the cost is $10.54 = 33.9c/can after refund)
- 2 x $20 iTunes cards for $30

Inside:
- Lexar 16Gb USB thumbdrive $9 (doesn't say whether 2.0 or 3.0 - but guessing v 2.0 at this price)
- Sony PSP Console $98
- NERF Nite Finder $5 (stocking filler/office weapon of choice?)

No deal specific URL at time of posting.

EDIT: Flyer pictures as requested by @zelda707. Thanks @silverrat23 - these may be slightly better/more readable (not sure how you managed 5 pages from a 4 page brochure, but hey, that's 25% better value)…

  • could you please upload photos of the flyer? :)

    • Will try later…

      • See main post - best I can do without a scanner…

  • I've wanted to buy a PSP for a while now, is this a good deal?

    • Skip the E1000 model, and try to find 3000 model around, probably a bit more expensive but it's much better.

      • Just to clarify, the E1000 has mono rather than stereo speakers (although headphones are still stereo of course), and no wifi. You still have access to the PlayStation Store through either your PS3 or Media Go on your PC, but obviously online gaming isn't possible.

This is a good deal if none of that bothers you, otherwise you'll have to hunt down a 3000 model.

    • FWIW, flyer does not indicate which model is on sale.

      • The description doesn't specify which model it is, however the picture shown is the E1000.

    • mtran0708, This is a better deal and you don't have to wait till 10 Nov to get it

      Have a good day

  • Small typo on SA Pepsi cost per can - 43.9c per can rather than 33.9c per can.

    Thanks for posting.

    • You're correct: Price paid is 43.9c/can - but I took the additional 10c-per-can for recycling in SA off the price, so result at the end of the day is 33.9c/can.

      Gotta love OZB!

Kramer, Newman & I are trying to get a hold of a mail truck so we can get them for 33.9c/can…

But unfortunately, as it stands in states other than SA, most folks are gonna have to pay 43.9c/can!!!

        • And why do you need one of works trucks for that exactly?

        • +3

          Newman!

  • Will be picking up a pair of the $4 canvas shoes.

  • Does anyone know if the Officeworks price guarantee will work on the iTunes cards?

    • hmm thought it excluded gift cards but http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/content/Lowest-price-gu… doesn't say so… guess you could argue that with them. :P

    • My local officeworks store, in Mackay QLD, had the iTunes cards already discounted at 20% off. I went in expecting to haggle them to match the Myer offer, but the price was already set. I have in the past got them to price match them anyway.

  • so tempted to pick up a thumb drive.

  • Is the SodaStream deal worth it? I saw it at for $79 at a big w last week but now for $40 hrmm..

The expensive thing in this is the C02 right?

    • +1

For comparison, soda water is $0.60 per L according to the Coles site.

      • Yeah, but it's nice not to have to lug bottles of water home. No I don't have a sodastream so I don't know about running costs.

        • If only there were a way to utilise the carbon that comes out ur backside…

        • Or turn your urine into soda. :P

        • +1

          I have a sodastream, I love it.

Running costs vary slightly, depending on where you get your exchange cylinders, but usually come in at around $12 for the smaller (40L) ones and $17 for the big (60L) ones. I usually drink at least a bottle or two per day in summer never get less than a month out of the 40L; and at least a couple to three months out of the 60L.

$40 for a sodastream is an awesome price, I might pick up another one just for backup & spare cylinder/bottles! ;)

  • Same day as McHappy Day.

Woolies also have the Pepsi/Schweppes bricks for a week from tomorrow at 3 for $30.

I bought the Lexar 16Gb USB thumb drive before @ $12. I can confirm that it is not USB 3.0.

  • Every other year they have had the Coke slab for $11, which is the cheapest you can get it for.

Not this year which is a shame

  • 10OFF100CRT - this code from another ozbargain post still worked for me. $10 off $100 spend. It said $10 delivery initially but at final page it took the shipping off. $98 for 4 boxes of huggies nappies delivered!!! $24.50 a box! Tx MadMapMan. +1

    Wait a minute…..SA only 10.54??? WTF????????????????
WHY THE FUCK DO WE ALWAYS GET SHAFTED???
Why do you have to charge us an extra 54 cents??
I don't understand why South Australia always gets charged higher prices for no reason this is a complete joke!!

I'll buy a couple slabs of course but I won't be happy about it!!!

    • +1

You get it $1.86 cheaper than every other state if you hand over your empty cans, stop complaining.
