    BEFORE YOU BUY
I just bought the $230 kit for $180 (after $50 cashback) with my previous 1 year recharge coming to an end.
Bought a $5 Aldi sim for the port out n back given people saying customer service folk have been resisting a lot more.
7 days before my end date, I've had a $30 off recharge offer from Boost (and another text about it today - 6 days out).

Honestly, faffing around with cashback, picking up missed delivered sim at post office, wandering past Aldi. An absolute waste of time for $50 let alone what ended up being $20. My advice, wait it out, or ping customer service saying "other people are getting $30 offers". The latter will take you 2 minutes and you'll get a quick yes or no. So much faff :(

I agree with this. I didn't get an offer on either of our 2 accounts. However, about 4 days after the payment was made, i received a refund of $30 from each recharge. Note, if doing this, i initiated a conversation via chat a few days before the recharge to ask about a $30 refund, got a reference number and then used this once the payment was processed.

      • Thanks, I got the reference number too for a refund but they said I had to contact them again in ~7 days with the reference number for them to actually process the refund.

Not as easy as it sounds as the initial discussion was them denying any $30 off discount is available.

    • I just tried to do it via live chat and they were having none of it. Looks like I'm going to Aldi after work lol

  • Can I go buy a sim card and still sign up for this? If I try to do it via the boost site I have to pick to buy a sim or use esim. I need to get this working asap and don't want to have to wait.

  • My 12 month boost sim is about to expire, does anyone know if I can port out to a new carrier then port back to Boost and be considered a new customer?

  • Does anyone know if you can buy extra data with if needed? And how long does it take to port your number to Boost from Optus

Also, does this Cashrewards only work online. Can you go into a Boost store and use the CR link and finish setup in-store?

  • How does this compare with the Moose deal?
I calculated the Moose deal and found it to be cheaper although it is Optus, post paid and capped at 25GB per month.
Is Boost significantly better than Moose?

  • I get "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" when trying to buy :(

    • Yeah the back end (after it gets passed to telstras system being a MVNO) does that sometimes. Try again later, should work.

    • Having the same issue. Has anyone been successful? Tried 4 times already on two browsers

      • same issue since yesterday. Any update?

        • Mine finally worked after 4-5 attempts. Two browsers and two computers. Turn off VPN and ad blockers

          • @PredatorvsAlien: still not working for me. I must be doing something wrong, I probably did 15+ tries now

  • Do you happen to know if SIM cards have an expiry date? I purchased one last year in May 2023, and the expiry date is June 2024, so I’m curious about this.

    • You answered your own question

    • The expiry for the current SIM cards Boost is sending out is September 2025.

  • With the $365 deal on special does the cash rewards still track?
No offer code is typed in but it shows up as an offer on the checkout page.
If we get 95 bucks off the 365 plan that's a steal.

    • +1

the special is displayed on the CR website so it should track

    • +1

Tracked at the full $50 on the discounted rate

  • Boost Data add ons…

    7GB data, $22, 28 days

    25GB data, $35, 28 days

    35GB data, $45, 28 days

    160GB data, $230, 366 days

–– Seem really expensive. What's a better & cheaper option. Buy a mobile modem with prepaid data? Any suggestions/recommendations?

  • Unlimited stnd calls to the following destinations:
Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong,
    India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea,
Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, USA, Vietnam

That includes calls to (the above international) mobile numbers as well, correct? (not just landline numbers). Can anyone confirm

    • I believe so…
Never had any issues calling mobiles in a couple of those countries.
It's a prepaid service so they can't charge you more for it! :)

    Also $40 OFF,

  • Ordered 2 SIM cards on separate transactions, despite return and clicking through Cashrewards for the new transaction. Both transactions were tracked but only the first transaction received cashback…. :( Will need to raise the missing cashback inquiry.

Anyone getting multiple SIM cards, perhaps use a separate browser for each transaction.

    • I always use the phone app. Have not failed any so far

  • Does anyone know if the $50 cash rewards would also apply to the current boost mobile offer of $320 for the 365 GB plan?

      • Great. Thanks. My apologies for the oversight!

  • When I try to order get a message: Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.
Tried different cards, different family members on the same address, different emails and phones, hid the IP address, always the same.
Any ideas how to buy this please?
    Thanks.

    • I've had issues with trying to order from boost in recent times that were similar to yours. I'm not sure why it happened but I tried again next day or so and the order went through.

      • +1

Thanks for the response. I have been trying at least 8 times in the last week and still nothing…

      • I changed the address and it worked.

  • Switching over from my Kogan $280 a year 500GB plan to Boost mobile $320 deal, with the $50 cashback offer. I would stay with Kogan but just needed something with better reception.

  • What is the cheapest option now for port in and out please?

    Thanks OP

Been trying to buy this all day. Keep getting the unable to process your order error message.

  • Sorry i dont understand the comment on cashrewards website which says , Important: Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Does that mean i need to buy 2 sim cards to get 50$ cashback ? Thanks

    • Means you'll only get 1 cash reward per transaction regardless of number of sim cards in that transaction.
If you want 2 sim cards, the way to get cash rewards for both of them is to buy them via two seperate transactions. Want 3 sims, buy them via three separate transactions. And so on.

      • Thank you caperite

  • same as everyone else (after multiple attempts) - is there any workaround??

Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.

    • I tried all day for 3 days without success.

Then I changed the name, address, phone number, email, and ID. It worked the first time.

  • Anyone knows if the cashback is for new customer only?

I was activating yesterday, bringing existing phone number from another provider. This phone number was on Boost before. I entered a new email address and Boost says that they recognise I had an account with them with different email address. I couldn't continue. So I restart the activation process, this time using email address that I used with Boost before.

Did I just lose my cashback? Hopefully not.

  • Anyone had a problem activating an eSIM via the Boost app?
Just signed up for my wife, ported her number from Moose mobile. Got the email within about 10 mins to say "Activation complete". Moose SIM has gone to emergency calls only, so I navigate through the menus to "transfer" the Boost eSIM to her phone and I get an error about something being wrong and to try again later.

Jump on Boost chat, they are totally and utterly useless - not even comprehending the issue, so they transfer me to the "technical team" who is telling me that I need to wait up to 24 hours before the eSIM will be available.

    So I'm without a phone service for 24 hours… what a f&$* joke Telstra.

    • +1

I ended up buying a $2 Boost SIM and getting them to transfer the service to that from the eSIM. For my trouble they gave me an extra 35GB of data for the year… can't complain I guess!

      • The joys of going completely digital and SIMless I suppose…lol

Seems like the $300 discount is gone?

  • +1

It's began chucking a fit with 'sORRY wE aRE uNABLE pROCESS yOUR oRDER'. I had very few problems before, ever since I read the tips and always entered my address manually. Even purposely including typos in said address didn't make it go through this time… neither did switching out the mobile number (to a spare one obtained using these boost cashback deals). I tried three times before jumping over to the $187.5 deal for the first time.

  • Confirming error: Sorry, we are unable process your order. Please try again later.
